Chelsea’s medical staff are reportedly optimistic about Ashley Cole’s injury – indicating that they hope to have the left-back available after the next league game with Wolves…

News broke yesterday on Cole’s depressed fracture of the tibia, with the suggestion that he could face more than a month on the sidelines. While there’s little or no official comment on the length of absence facing Cole, today we at least have this report suggesting that he could make a return for gameweek 14. Ironically, that see’s Ancelotti’s men make the trip to Cole’s former club Arsenal.

The report goes on to suggest that, while Chelsea have cover in the form of Ferreira and Zhirkov, who have both returned to training, Jose Bosingwa may be out for a further month with his knee problem which has them stretched in the full-back area. Again, right now, this is all paper talk and until we have confirmation on the extent of those injuries, we cannot be certain with our transfer moves.

Mark Mark created the beast. He's now looking to tame it.
