Bolton’s participation in Double Gameweek 20 should be enough for us to consider a couple of their players, if not at least for the sake of differentials. Those who plumped for Clint Dempsey or Jimmy Bullard in Gameweek 13 need not be reminded how a mid-priced selection can certainly come good, and Klasnic’s performances over Bolton’s past four games suggest we should at least have him on our minds…
Four goals in his last four starts, with four FPL Bonus Points spaced out over those fixtures are impressive stats, bearing in mind that Matt Taylor, perhaps the most obvious Bolton pick, has yet to pick up a single Bonus Point all season and last scored in the league on 17th October.
Klasnic appeared firmly on our radars scored twice in Bolton’s thrilling three-all draw at home to Man City, but it was non-scoring performance away to Wolves that really caught the eye. As this chalkboard shows, he had eight attempts on goal, a precursor to his performance against Sparky’s boys. He then followed the City performance with a goal and an assist in the win over West Ham last night – although he has a certain Mr Green to thank for some of that.
Regardless, this is a man in form and with his upcoming Gameweeks being Wigan (away), Burnley (away), then Hull (home) and Arsenal (away) in Gameweek 20; Klasnic, at 6.0m in FPL (compared to Taylor at 6.6m and Kevin Davies at 6.7m) and with only 0.3% of FPL managers as owners, may well be worth a short-term punt as a budget differential.
