Just one last fixture of the week for us to take in tonight as Wigan play host to Aston Villa in our double gameweek fixture giving Messrs. Milner, Dunne, N’Zogbia and co another crack at the whip to boost their weekly fantasy returns.

Despite warning about rotation looming in the Villa ranks Martin O’Neill has named an unsurprising line-up with the only change being Gabby Agbonlahor returning from illness and his spot on the bench to replace Emile Heskey. The only casualty in the Wigan ranks is one that may be felt more keenly amongst the fantasy fraternity; Paul Scharner has been relegated to the bench this gameweek. Fresh memories of Sam Ricketts from last gameweek will leave many managers hoping Scharner gets on the field in some capacity, otherwise he too will end a double gameweek with a meagre -1.

Outside of the Premier League those of us who aren’t illegally streaming action from Russia to Timbuktu will be keeping keen eyes on Chelsea vs Inter Milan in the Champions League, hoping all remains well as we head into their impending double gameweek. And I will be hoping from afar that Leicester can knock Crystal Palace while they’re down in one of many salt of the earth games in the Football League.

If you fancy a bit of midweek banter, why not pop in to our Dugout Discussion, pull up a chair and put your feet up as we close out the gameweek (hopefully) in some style. Use this post as your sounding board if not.
