The gurus behind the Metro Game have recently sent us word that they ventured into the realm of Ipod apps, handing those multi-tasking Fantasy Managers the opportunity to play tinkerman on the move.

Over pre-season we had a look at the game in great depth and when it comes to gameplay this is just more of the same, unsurprisingly given that it’s the same game built directly for the on-the-go iPhone user.

The interface is incredibly smooth and allows you to do everything you can do on your laptop or desktop PC with just as much, if not more, ease; whether it be making that urgent transfer while you’re being dragged around H&M by the other half, or following the action via the live scoring as the points roll in.

If you’re serious about the challenge for that £15,000 first prize (I’ve already had the survey done on a new extension) – or maybe “just” even the iPad on offer for topping the Fantasy Football Scout league, then the 59p outlay of this app looks worth a punt.

Ok bored of this Cr@p England game. Back to Wildcard transfers:

    1 or 2?

1: CAshley, Coleman, Albrighton, Etherington, Odem, Tevez, 2.1 in the bank
2: Kolarov, Simpson, Fabregas, Adam, Varney, Berbatov, 0.0 in the bank

Set B is trying to get Fab in without compromising too much elsewhere.
Rest of team is Drogba, Nani, Malouda, VDV, Alcarez, Jara, Elmo

I had money on a Montenegro win. No faith.

They looked like me playing Fifa, rubbish but scraping through. I kept shouting (inside my head) things like "X!" "dink triangle!" ...roll on fantasy football once more.

If Vicunic had been playing, then that would have been amazing value at 13.0. But without him, Montenegro would always struggle to score the goals to win (I say without having seen more than about 5 minutes of the match).

Yeah, it was only £2 but it was well worth a pop (I put the money on before I heard Vucinic was out, unfortunately).

After the carling cup "debacle" of backing three bankers at 4-1 over Newcastle at Chelsea at 11-1 I wanted to at least have a go.

          Oh well, draw... stellar stuff.

What the f*ck is the point in playing a useless lump upfront (Crouch/Davies) when you're going to play with two inverted wingers, who didn't put in a single decent cross between them..

I can't remember about SWP before his Chelsea days, aside from clips on MOTD where he inevitably looked half decent, but has he always been absolutely shit? Or did people use to think that he was pretty good?

Oh, and Gareth Barry is criminally bad.

I'll give you maybe Euro 2004 (the same tournament rooney did well at) out of those, in the rest his performances were consistently worse than when playing for united...

Apart from in 2004, at major tournaments ronaldo has only scored against Iran, Korea DPR and Czech Republic...

I'm just saying what I saw- it's a given that crouch and barry are useless, therefore you may as well point out the worrying anomalies, such as the inefectiveness of rooney or the dodginess of cashley...

Besides, I'm more worried about rooney generally, as his dry streak could seriously harm united...

If i were Fergie id make up an injury and send him away for a few weeks. He needs rest and to sort out his life.

I think the main thing England are missing is a bit of industry in the midfield. Barry just doesn't really offer anything - him out Hargreaves in.

I still don't really know what Wilshere best position is...

But he's a class act. Was at the Chelsea-Arsenal game last Sunday and he bossed the midfield for large parts of the game.

Still, he's no Tom Cleverley Josh McEachran.

seriously what is he supposed to do individually when he's not getting any decent balls or is alone facing up an entire team's back line that's playing for the draw?! the entire system makes rooney look bad- i don't understand what people are expecting when it's set up that way honestly.

Has there actually been that much Rooney bashing today though? I've barely seen anything, and have personally said absolutely nothing.

England's failings are obvious. The plan was obviously to get the ball out to the wingers as quickly as possible, and they didn't create anything between them all game.. No point in playing a big target man upfront, if you're going to play with two inverted wingers who aren't going to cross the ball.

Even when we brought SWP on, we still persisted with play our wingers on the 'wrong' side. SWP is retarded enough on the right, and is infinitely worse on the left..

In general there is a lot of wayne bashing I meant and it does get repetitive, I'd like him to get back to his best. I agree with your points and its the usual no pace to the game and the presence of Barry in the midfield, but in all honesty there are too many useless players who get shown up for what they are when not surrounded by superior foreign players.

yes i do, for international it's all about team chemistry and understanding the players and fitting them in to their roles- capello can barely speak english. we're only in week 7-8. it's gonna take roy a lot longer than that to turn an entire club around that's surrounded with so much drama regarding their ownership right now. still stuck w/rafa's squad- has to develop his own and players have to adapt. all this takes time...england have the pieces all there, but not the right person to put the pieces in the right places.

I know you can't blame him entirely, but some of his decision making baffles me.

The system we were playing tonight clearly wasn't working, so his revolutionary tactical substitutions involved taking off a big target man and bringing on a big target man, followed by taking off a speedy winger and bringing on a speedy winger, whilst he keeps an ineffectual Barry on the pitch with an in form Wilshere on the bench- and by the way, if you're not going to play Wilshere, why not leave him with the U21s?

The criticism of England is often that we don't have a plan B... I'm not sure what our plan A even was tonight.

for a start, we have a lot of injuries...

Also, everyone seems to forget that four four two worked pretty well in the World Cup qualifiers (albeit with gerrard playing slightly further upfield- as he was in the 2nd half)...

Finally, even good teams can get frustrated by well organised and determined opposition, think spain losing to switzerland in the world cup...

I'm not trying to say england are brilliant, but equally I don't think you can lay all the blame for that at cappello's door...

I know, I know, but I've just watched a shit 90 minutes of football and I feel like moaning...

My main beef is that we don't seem to have an idea of what sort of football we want to play, and the team seems to be in a bit of a limbo. I've nothing against Kevin Davies, and in the light of the injuries we have I think it was fair enough to have him on the bench, but he's not going to the Euros is he? Why couldn't we have thrown Wilshere into the mix for a bit, for example.

Oh, and Sean Wright Phillips. What's the point?

                  All good points Jonny.

His tactics are baffling. Can't argue with his club record but his decisions with England are just flat out weird.

My sincere apologies if anyone took the Sweden +1 bet I recommended. We were badly punished by a ruthless and good Holland side. Our new more attacking approach may be good against the lesser sides but away to Holland we were horribly exposed.

Elmander and Seb Larsson both shook off injuries and were both awul. Larsson got the assist for our consolation goal.

Congratulations to CRUSHER, King Eric and every other Dutchman on here, well deserved.

Try the links below. Or alternatively check out TorresMagic daily posts. Probably Alex won't drop tonight. But could well do before end of week.
