With the game between Fulham and West Ham at 12pm, today’s Matchday Surgery has turned into an early Dugout Discussion. It’s essentially the same thing however, just follow this link to our chatroom for pre-deadline discussion.

I’ve no team news to bring you yet for the game at Craven Cottage, but unfortunately I do have a couple of postponements to notify you of…

  • Blackpool Vs. Liverpool – OFF

It was always going to be the most likely Premier League game to fall foul of the weather, and that has proved true. A frozen Bloomfield Road pitch is once again responsible for the postponement.

  • Everton Vs. Birmingham City – OFF

Having passed the “key test” live on Sky Sports News yesterday morning (yeah, I was watching Sky Sports News on Christmas morning), this cancellation comes as somewhat of a surprise. The reason for this game being off is “due to the adverse weather conditions in Liverpool overnight the stadium is not in a fit condition to stage a Premier League football match”, as given on the Everton website.

If any more games are called off before the Fantasy Premier League deadline, I’ll update this article and announce it in the chatroom.

      I did Cahill to VDV for a hit, probably not too bad a move but I could have just fielded Barton instead of taking the points hit. Also, whenever I bench Barton he always scores big

    I know it’s a bit early to be discussing the NEXT game week, however, I've a free transfer this coming week and have been toying with this idea for ages.

    MGP (out) Lampard (In)
    Brunt (out) Gerrard (In)

    Which would give me an attacking force of:

    (MID) Lampard, Fabregas, Gerrard, Nani, VDV
    (FWD) Welbeck, Odemwingie, Caroll

    Am I foolishly trying to create sort of ‘all-star looking’ midfield line up or are Gerrard & Lampard still way off form and fitness and therefore I should stick with MGP & Brunt?

    So, so, so tempted!!!

    Thoughts anyone?
