Tonight sees the last three Premier League fixtures of 2010 take place, to put an end to a treacherous gameweek. Chelsea host Bolton, Arsenal travel to Wigan, and Liverpool and Wolves play slightly later in front of the cameras. Follow the action with us in our Dugout Discussion, which is open as usual.

The team news is coming through, and there is more rotation to endure…

Chelsea XI: Cech, Bosingwa, Ivanovic, Terry, Cole, Ramires, Essien, Lampard, Anelka, Drogba, Malouda.

Bolton XI: Jaaskelainen, Ricketts, Cahill, Knight, Robinson, Moreno, Holden, Muamba, Taylor, Kevin Davies, Elmander.

So Nicolas Anelka and Ramires start for the Champion’s at the expense of Salomon Kalou and John Obi Mikel respectively. For Bolton, Chung-Yong Lee’s departure to the Asia Cup sees a start for Rodrigo Moreno. No, I’ve not heard of him either.

Wigan XI: Al Habsi, Stam, Gary Caldwell, Alcaraz, Gohouri, Thomas, Diame, Cleverley, Watson, N’Zogbia, Rodallega.

Arsenal XI: Fabianski, Eboue, Squillaci, Koscielny, Sagna, Diaby, Rosicky, Denilson, Bendtner, Chamakh, Arshavin.

Huge changes for Arsenal tonight sees Samir Nasri dropped to the bench, and Robin van Persie left at home. In comes a totally different front six from the Chelsea game. No major surprises from the home team.

Liverpool XI: Reina, Johnson, Kyrgiakos, Skrtel, Konchesky, Kuyt, Gerrard, Lucas, Meireles, Torres, Ngog

Wolves XI: Hennessey, Zubar, Stearman, Berra, Elokobi, Foley, Milijas, Hunt, Jarvis, Ward, Ebanks-Blake

The long-awaited (and much needed) return of Liverpool skipper Steven Gerrard is the major piece of team news from the 8pm game. Daniel Agger also returns for Liverpool, and takes his place on the bench.

Don't forget the clear cut handball by Wigan for Nasri's free kick.. Can't remember which player it was but both of his arms were extended above his head and he "smothered" the ball with his hands! Disgraceful

Just thinking about the plan for GW 22. Standard move would be this:

    Cahill > Adam
    Nasri > Gerrard
Drogba > Torres (if Torres shows some form v BOL)

Would like to keep Nasri though and don't want to lose the cash, so could do this:

    Cahill > Adam
Kyrgiakos > Evatt (could be dropped for Agger)
MGP > Gerrard (MGP fixtures not great)

A lot depends on what happens at the weekend but anyone like that idea? (just the 4pt hit in each case)

ok, as a stupid american who knows nothing, why is everyone dropping drogba....for torres? torres uses hairspray before each game. drogs has been in poor form, aye. as has chelsea. but he was a missed PK from scoring huge a few weeks ago (i will bet that he wont miss a PK again this year), he is STILL involved in almost every chelsea attack, hit the post today on a terrific fingertip save, and set up "3 point bonus" malouda for the easiest goal ever. i dont understand what torres does for everyone. as a guy who idolizes diego forlans hair, i can understand the gel-reaction, but torres has 12 pts since november 13th. drogba has 25. you know what, just drop him, and i hope my league cohorts will do the same.

+1 Torres is not worth buying..

-1 Even Drogba is not worth having, he is not doing anything justify his price tag. better to hunt for 'smaller club- smaller players' They are playing better this season, rather this so called Big clubs

I'm with you all the way, but this is a short term acquisition - fact is, mathematically speaking, as long as Torres is at least 60% as likely to score as the best alternative, with 5 games in 3 GW he's worth having.

I`m planning to have 3 United players from GW 24 and maybe Fabs for gw 23.

    My present team:
    Foster (Jaask)
    Kolarov Vidic Bardsley (Givet Gohouri)
    Bale Nasri VDV Nani (MGP)
    Tevez Carrol Welbeck
    (8.5 in the bank)

    Plan A:
Givet/Gohouri -> Rafael this GW, MGP -> Adam next GW, save transfer GW 23 and Vidic out -> Liverpool def, Welbeck -> Berba ahead of gw 24

Plan B: Givet/Gohuri -> ? this GW, MGP -> Adam next GW, Bale -> Fabs before GW 23 and Welbeck -> Berba ahead of gw 24.
This plan leaves me with 0,6 in the bank before changing Givet/Gohouri and taking possible price rises in to account. A 4 point hit for Vidic -> Rafael could be done to get in Berbatov if nessesary.

What plan should I go for and if plan b, what defender shoud I consider?

    Thanks.

Right, just logged on after this GW.
Score: 37, dropped 3,000 places but it's not too bad.

    Couple of Q's:

N'Zogbia, is that a 3 match ban? I haven't seen the incident but i'm guessing it was violent conduct?

Nasri, is he ok? He was rested due to rotation rather than injured, right?

Konchesky, subbed, due to being crap or injured? 🙂

    Many thanks!

Missed the games last night but seriously thinking getting back on Malouda bandwagon - Fabs can wait until after City game. Also considering getting rid Nasri def limited returns with Fabs back.
For the record anyone still with Torres is deluded IMO , I dont understand the argument in 'waiting for him to click' how many pts have you squandered already waiting for him to click? have some balls and get rid

Been mulling over that move too, especially as Malouda is not so expensive as he was previously.

Also has nice games coming up, especially Villa this weekend.

I don't think I'm going to bother with getting anymore Liverpool players for the DGW. If Konchesky plays all well and good, but they just have double gameweek disaster written all over them, do Liverpool.

Gerrard was who I was looking at getting in but then I took a look at his points history this season. It reaffirmed my apprehensions about bringing him in. He's likely to land between 4 and 8 points over the combined two games.

Charlie Adam, Ian Evatt and Varney or Campbell are really the only players worthy of investment for GW22 in my opinion. I'll bring in Adam and I might get Evatt in for Foley but I think that will be the sum total of my GW22 investment.

No fixture is easy for this Liverpool side anymore.

If that's all you want to do and you're not going to play Adam this week then just save your transfer and have 2 for GW22.

Remember that GW22 starts 2 days after GW21 so you won't exactly be waiting long to do your next transfers.

    Thoughts on replacement for N'Zogbia:

    I've narrowed down the shortlist of options to;

Maxi, Yaya, Etherington, Cleverly, Anderson, Park.

    Any opinions?

    Current midfield:

Nani, Nasri, Van der Vaart, MGP* (N'Zogbia)

    * - MGP will be replaced by Adam next week, don't want him this week for MCY fixture.

Can't believe I ever wasted my time on Torres, a gamble that backfires completely. Took a 4 point hit last night to get Drogba back in, won't be changing again that's for sure. Team for this week:

    Gordon, (Foster)
    Kolarov, Kyriakos, Rafael, (Coleman), (Jara)
    Fabregas, Nani, Pederson, VDV, (N'Zogbia)
    Drogba, Carroll, Tevez

Bit unsure as to whether to play Pederson (away to Sunderland) or Coleman (away to Stoke bit in great form). By ideas folks?

I don't understand how the average this week was 43. You look at the dream team this week and only 3 players in there have a owner percentage of over 10%. Plus look at some of the exclusions this week. Tevez, Nani, Kolarov, Nasri on the bench and the only popular players who really fired were Bale, Coleman and Berbatov.

I'm also buggered off about my worse ever weekly ranking. I didn't even make a ranking of 2 million.

Money not being an issue & one extra player in each position this week is the most popular

      Hart 7 Foster 3 Robbo 1
      Vidic 1 A.Cole 6 Hangeland 8 Ridgewell 2 Elmohamady 1 Foley 6
Bale 10 Malouda 11 Nasri 1 Cahill 5 VDV Nani
      Carroll 2 Drogba 6 Elmander 2 Berbatov 8 Tevez

Easy to see where 43 comes from.

    Konch/Kolorov/Rafael/Knight/Foster

    Fabs/VDV/Nani/Nasri/Ferg

Shocking week, no nani, kolarov, tevez or nasri and lost my monthly league and 100 quid due to Nzogbia's head. Lost by one point!! What next?
    Foster (Carson)
    Vidic/Onuha/Kolarov (Coleman) (Enrique)
    Nani/Nasri/VDV/MGP (Nzog)
    Carroll/Tevez/Torres

Obviously Nzog and Onuha need to go but Torres is killing me!!! Thoughts?

Bent->Tevez or do Torres just for the DGW.

+1 on bent->tevez. Leave torres out tho - l'pool DGWs just give torres two opportunities not to score any goals
