This weekend could see a swarm of new January Transfer Window recruits make their debuts. The most tantalising prospect is arguably Manchester City’s new towering target man, Edin Dzeko, who looks set to feature heavily against Wolves. Other new signings include Roque Santa Cruz’s return to Blackburn, Wayne Bridge looking to bolster West Ham’s backline, Tottenham’s forgotten man David Bentley striving to revive his career at Birmingham, while Steve Sidwell is in a comparable position as he prepares for his Fulham debut.

Elsehwere, Andy Carroll has been ruled out of Sunday’s derby with Sunderland leaving Leon Best and Shola Ameobi to fight it out for a place in the Newcastle attack. Manchester United look set to welcome back Wayne Rooney, Nemanja Vidic and Edwin Van Der Sar as they take on a Beckham-less Tottenham side, who have announced Gareth Bale as match fit. Wojciech Szczesny will start at West Ham for Arsenal after Lukasz Fabianski was ruled out of Saturday’s game. David Silva is still touch and go for Manchester City and will find out later today if he will make their squad.

    Hmm. Right, I'm in a dilema. I can't get my back line sorted.

    I really want Coleman and Hangeland. Might as well keep Evett, as he's cheap and has some DGWs. Foster has a triple, and I've had him from the beginning, so to sell him is madness.

    Want some Sunderland cover, obviously, and I would like Man U and City cover.

    So Gordon, Kolarov and Raphael makes sense, but it's currently too expensive.

    Do I alter my lineup of:

    Fabregas, Nasri, VdV, Adam, Nani
    Tevez, RVP, Carroll

    To get a couple million extra? I really like that lineup.

    At the moment I have Gordon, Elmo and Bardsley in. Tripling up!

      Coleman, Rafael, Hangeland, Evatt, Bramble.

      Bramble is the pick of the Sunderland defense currently. He gets decent bonus, and he's a first choice starter even when everyone's fit. A better deal than Bardsley or Elmo too and a bit of a differential.

          Foster - Begovic currently.

          Not too great for gameweeks 24 and 25, but after that, they rotate well for the rest of the season.

          Begovic is also a good shout in case Djourou loses his spot and I still want Arsenal defense, in which case, I can do Foster > Fabianski, and Begovic still rotates well with him.

                    Bear in mind that VDS is unlikely to play and Vidic is a doubt. I am not suggesting (c) VDV out of some silly Anyone But United stance, but because the man is a points machine and precious few of my minileague rivals have the King Kong balls required to give him the armband.

                Utd aren't invincible, I don't know how they have stayed unbeaten this season, it's actually incredible that a team who has played so poor still ain't lost a match.

                Your away record is poor and fair enough, you do have a good record against Spurs but this is the best Spurs team in a long time.

      Don't get Bardsley if you're getting Bramble.

      Pedersen is also a poor choice at that price. Go for N'Zogbia or Brunt or Bentley even.

      Team A everyday.

      I'd get a Blackpool defender instead of Foley though. Eardley isn't a bad shout. He put in the cross that resulted in the Blackpool 2nd goal VS Liverpool.
