The dreaded blanks of Gameweek 28 are finally upon us, with just over an hour and a bit to go before the weekend Fantasy deadline. Fear not however, the Saturday Surgery chatroom is here to hold your hand amongst fellow sufferers, until all this nastiness passes.

Now then. Will it be 4, 8 or 12 points you’re spending?

In case you’ve been living under a suitably large rock, three teams do not have a fixture to partake in this week. Whilst Arsenal and Birmingham City battle it out in tomorrow’s League Cup final, Tottenham Hotspur are left twiddling their thumbs and Twittering at home.

However, league leaders Manchester United have two fixtures this week, offering some solace to us Fantasy Managers in a gameweek that will, in all in all likelihood, test our resolve once again.

    Tevez, Odemwingie

    Bench: Foster, Carr, Adam, RVP

    My teams is in ruins at mo but I am leading the work league by 70 points. Got 1 free transfer. Options as follows:

    1. Odemwingie > Berba
    2. Fabregas > Merieles
    3. Kelly or Carr > Smalling (Carr has a doubler next week but Kelly may play this week)

    4. Walcott > Cahill (do this a week early???). I am just not convinced by Ashley Young or Clint Dempsey for this week only

    WK 29: Next week I want Cahill + Nasri in for Walcott and Merieles.
    WK 30: Berba maybe out for Caroll freeing up cash for Run in...

        I fear the Meireles purple patch may be over. Liverpool's fixtures aren't great and once Carroll's fit, he won't be playing so far forward any more.

                I'm gonna punt on him playing, I don't think the hit is worth the risk to bring someone in for one week. I don't see Meireles getting a big haul this week.

    OK so time is nearly up.

    Starting 11 are as follows.....
    Hart
    Baines, Coleman, Luiz, Bardsley
    Meireles, Nani, Dempsey
    Rooney (C), Berbatov, Tevez

    Took a 4pt hit but not bad I suppose compared to some I've seen.
    Chopped and changed captain between Rooney and Nani about 100 times now but think Rooney it is. Can see him scoring a couple against Wigan today.....

      No point taking 8pt hit as you don't need to. 4pt will get you 11 starters but then he will have to score points just for you to break even. Most taking 4 or 8pt hit this week.

    he has 1 free transfer and made it. no matter what he did, Im in great shape right? Was thinking about adam out for barton or ohara in case kelly or cahill dont go and out brunt on bench. DO I need to based on this matchup? Im more interested in beating him than my overall rank. Also Im worried about Myhill starting, guardian squad sheets had carson.
