The gameweek draws to a close at the Cottage tonight as Fulham play host to a Bolton side surely flowing with confidence following the late 2-1 win over Arsenal on Sunday. The Trotters have suffered a major blow when it comes to their starting lineup however, with the hottest of shots Daniel Sturridge failing to overcome an ankle knock suffered late on against the Gunners. He misses out, disappointing many a Fantasy Manager in the process.

There’s also a let-down in the Fulham lineup as Mark Hughes puts out an unchanged side; Bobby Zamora is once again warming the bench then, apparently suffering from a back problem. His owners will hope to see him emerge at some point though, and perhaps even earn an assist or two that qualifies for some points this time.

With the small matter of the Real vs Barcelona Champions League clash rumbling on in Spain, this post can be used to soak up all your floodlit comments, with real-time chat going on in the Dugout Discussion as per usual.

Mark Mark created the beast. He's now looking to tame it.

I'm trying to decide whether it be worth getting in Kuyt first (shown good form) or Yaya (in a strong team and playing West Ham). I could take a points knock and get both in but should i not go for that...which is the suggested "first choice" transfer do you guys reckon?

Can't believe I'm seeing a green arrow today! I was sure my dodgy captain choice had cost me. I have seen my mini-league lead cut down to 11 points though. This is going to be a nerve wracking 4 weeks!

The point to this post? Carroll better start!!!

problem with chasing is that you know the leader will go for man city players - if you dont then you will miss out on points but at the same time should you get those players you wont make up much ground if any - big advantage for those leading knowing they can get 2-3 city players imo.

Nice punt and great score. If you can field a defence this week, I wouldn't worry about shifting him out. Use the transfers to get City mids in.

Kolorov has been in my team twice and both times failed

He's actually a terrible player. I've seen him play 4-5 times and he's slow and a poor defender. He then always shoots on sight from 30 yards when he recieves the ball

Just my opinion on him 😛

They will still beat the Seasiders and it will be an open game I can see that being a 4-2 spurs.

So an attacking spurs players would be a must.

I still unsure who 'Arry likes in attack (1 player or 2), so apart from DVD and Bale, not sure who really???

I've been thinking this week about who the Big Guns will be over the next 4 gameweeks... the players who will be proving essential both for their real-life teams and their fantasy owners. What are everyone's thoughts on this?

My thinking is that a huge amount depends on this weekend: if Arsenal can get a point or even a win against United, to my mind that makes Arsenal, United and Chelsea players more attractive for the following week, as it keeps the title race alive. The likes of RVP, Nani, Rooney, Drogba and Lampard would all be on my watchlist then.

In another hypothetical situation: imagine United win and Tottenham manage to beat Chelsea... the title race is then virtually over, but the race for 4th gets interesting, particularly with Tottenham-City coming up. In this scenario I'd be looking at VDV in particular as the sort of one-man-powerhouse you need at the business end of the season. At City the only player in this "essential" category appears to be Tevez, who is injured, so there are less obvious choices.

At the other end of the table there's clearly less talent, but I'm still looking to players like Charlie Adam to lead the way in the fight against relegation. And I'm struggling to think who you'd pick from the other relegation-battlers.

Anyway, you get the idea... which players are going to step up to the plate and deliver big fantasy returns in the process?
My list is: Van der Vaart, Hernandez, Drogba, Adam....and Dzeko as an outside bet.

Interesting... I've not seen any of the Hammers recent games, but their results don't make me that attracted! They do have a decentish run-in though.

I'm interested that you're keeping both RVP and Fabs. Tough fixtures coming up. I have RVP and I'm finding it hard to get rid, but if I had Fabs I think I'd be dumping him for VDV/Silva and using the spare cash elsewhere.

I agree Jonny (hello by the way)

Given the DGW and WHM this GW, Silva seem obvious but if I knew Adam J would start I would prefer him.

I got a feeling Dzeko will start v Hammers but mini lge is tight so afraid to risk it, but would like to

Could be worth MCFC def this gw, unsure for next and if don do now with a hit, worst of time so may leave it, Wont touch a spurs defender...!

I am a looking as Saurez maybe?

Hi Evs, I'm looking at Man City defenders too.... Luiz-> Kolorov is one I'm thinking on today. With the possibility of splashing the cash saved (the Kolorov Money, if you will) on transferring Meireles out for Silva.

Suarez could well be one of the "big guns" too... although Liverpool don't appear to have a huge amount to play for, they seem to be in amazing form.

I would hold onto Luiz mate, chelsea look tight at the back again with him, but if you are going city defender... surely it must be done this week?

I am not going to do that for a hit. As I think I will offload either dempsey or Nasri for Silva

My hit, if I take one maybe Suarez for Zamora.

My mini lge lead down to 5pts from 50 odd... rival hit 111 and 100 pts 2 weeks on the spin !!!!

Ooof, tough times for you then!

If I want Kolorov without a hit this week then it has to be Luiz or BAE, and BAE has a double coming up. Ooh, it's a pickle.

Silva and Suarez look like solid bets for this week. Good luck hanging onto that slender league!

I'd say that now is not the time to bring in any ARS, MANU or CHE players given their upcoming fixtures.

The easiest would be to take a look at the watchlist.

I, for my part, want to bring in a City midfielder (Toure/Silva) and maybe Kuyt this week and at least VdV next week.

Anyhow not sure what to do this week with my adopted team which is here:
