There’s just a little time before the Fantasy deadline, so if you’re still pondering transfers, captain selection or even the order of your substitutes bench, then the Saturday Surgery chatroom is the place to go for immediate views and opinions from your Fantasy Football peers.

There’s no early kick-off today, so the Dugout Discussion will pop up just before the 3pm games with all the accompanying team news.

Akers Richard or Akers, as he is known, has been regularly haunting this site since July 2008. He is young and foolish, take what he says with a pinch of salt. Follow them on Twitter

News reflects how messed up things are and how much appetite general public have for meaningless nonsense.

In a day when there was a potato famine in Mrs Rileys kitchen, a small boy lost his parents at a village fete for 23 minutes, there was a 48 miute delay on the N1 causing widespread disgruntlement, a belligerent 23 year old Irish man was caught masturbating outside the Nou Camp, a nation of 4.5million were getting on for a trillion euros in debt to other nations banks.

    - Video coverage of Beckham arriving at the Royal wedding
    - Discussion of the cake
    - Discussion of her Dress
    - Discussion regarding her courtesy to the Queen and what it symbolizes for the nation……

All reported more and read more.

Does anyone see anything wrong with this? Not to mention how outdated an elite monarchy is in 2011 in any country and what it did to be in power.

ps. Down with England, up with Barca, black is white, up is down.

Again your completely off the point.

If as Apple says I dont agree with them being in power - then celebrating the wedding is a contradiction.

Why sit back and let things you dont agree with persist.
The western world is a democratic society because people wanted it for obvious reasons. The monarchy in every country they are it the opposite of this.

Dont know where you got the word forced from....

People do agree with it and that is why it is covered so much in the media.

Sweden for example is supposed to be a not very conservative country and the monarchy still has over 50% support here. The news just reflect that.

I think you're making a mistake trying to make 2 points in one discussion DB.

The news shouldnt reflect opinion. But importance. See my point on Gaga.

The popularity is also not worth taking at face value as the majority dont care so dont way up the contractions with such a system today. Nor know or care how they came to power and how wrong it is the live such an undeserved privileged life.

i'm guessing the thousands of people in london yesterday did believe in it.
your original point was bollocks, this shared the news with all the other world events, but on the day took the majority viewing (as tin of directors pointed out tv is also about demand, ignore this and a channel gets lower viewing figures, make less money etc etc). now the wedding is over it's back to other matters on the news.
i couldn't give a sh** about the wedding or the monarchy either but there are those who obviously do so the world goes on

Tbh the queen may have been one of the best monarchs britain has ever had. she didn't say anything if something went wrong, she never said anything when things went right.

the royals have no power, maybe a little veto here and there but we are basically a republic in everything but name

WOMAN: Dennis, there's some lovely filth down here. Oh -- how d'you do?
ARTHUR: How do you do, good lady. I am Arthur, King of the Britons. Who's castle is that?
      WOMAN: King of the who?
      ARTHUR: The Britons.
      WOMAN: Who are the Britons?
ARTHUR: Well, we all are. we're all Britons and I am your king.
WOMAN: I didn't know we had a king. I thought we were an autonomous collective.
DENNIS: You're fooling yourself. We're living in a dictatorship. A self-perpetuating autocracy in which the working classes--
WOMAN: Oh there you go, bringing class into it again.
DENNIS: That's what it's all about if only people would--
ARTHUR: Please, please good people. I am in haste. Who lives in that castle?
      WOMAN: No one live there.
ARTHUR: Then who is your lord?
WOMAN: We don't have a lord.
      ARTHUR: What?
DENNIS: I told you. We're an anarcho-syndicalist commune. We take it in turns to act as a sort of executive officer for the week.
      ARTHUR: Yes.
DENNIS: But all the decision of that officer have to be ratified at a special biweekly meeting.
      ARTHUR: Yes, I see.
DENNIS: By a simple majority in the case of purely internal affairs,--
      ARTHUR: Be quiet!
DENNIS: --but by a two-thirds majority in the case of more--
ARTHUR: Be quiet! I order you to be quiet!
WOMAN: Order, eh -- who does he think he is?
      ARTHUR: I am your king!
WOMAN: Well, I didn't vote for you.
ARTHUR: You don't vote for kings.
WOMAN: Well, 'ow did you become king then?
ARTHUR: The Lady of the Lake,[angels sing] her arm clad in the purest shimmering samite, held aloft Excalibur from the bosom of the water signifying by Divine Providence that I, Arthur, was to carry Excalibur. That is why I am your king!
DENNIS: Listen -- strange women lying in ponds distributing swords is no basis for a system of government. Supreme executive power derives from a mandate from the masses, not from some farcical aquatic ceremony.
      ARTHUR: Be quiet!
DENNIS: Well you can't expect to wield supreme executive power just 'cause some watery tart threw a sword at you!
      ARTHUR: Shut up!
DENNIS: I mean, if I went around sayin' I was an empereror just because some moistened bint had lobbed a scimitar at me they'd put me away!
ARTHUR: Shut up! Will you shut up!
DENNIS: Ah, now we see the violence inherent in the system.

        Oh dear Evs!

Im a bit annoyed with myself, as I did Nani, Welbeck OUT, Silva, Balotelli IN. Looking at it now... I'd of probably done Dempsey, Welbeck OUT, Yaya, Balotelli IN. No worries though, c'est la vie and all that.

Well he was a nice little cleansheet thief last week, and his role is one of more opportunity than the average 90 minute winger/defender get. He comes on at the 69 minute mark and it's up and down the pitch like basketball. goal scoring opportunities seem to fall in his lap. Not to mention cheap.

I'd liketo say it was inspired that I swapped Dempsey to Kuyt but I did it before mid week game and great points haul. Within 3 points of my league leader(who is an FFS member!) now after being nearly a 100 points behind a few weeks ago(I've won it the previous two years so reputation to uphold!!Could be close.

    crap.

my transfer options were nani->silva, dempsey->yaya, or gyan->wingie. I picked the one that leaves me with gyan and dempsey on the bench and walker subbed in. Methinks unless silva goes bananas Im looking at a red arrow. 🙁

Coleman is the biggest gimp there is. When he's on my bench, he scores points, when i start him, he either gets 2 points, or is subbed early and gets 1 point, or doesn't start at all. Get out of my team!

Kolarov? I was going to do the same, but i was advised not to. It was good advice aswell as it would have been for a hit. I was certain Coleman was going to start today.

I was just fed up of Coleman, scoring on my bench and not in my team as you say, plus fixtures are poor!

He was going next week anyway. Issue i had this week was i could do Coleman to Kolarov but couldnt afford Coleman to lescott, which i will be able to do next week. Not sure on Richards and kolarov situation so would prefer Lescott for the DGW. Wish i had just done it now.

Lescott's probably the better bet, I wouldn't have had any real captain canditates without Koala so I just went him.

Somebody on here last night asked whether he should bench Coleman or Vidic. Everybody but me said Vidic.

Hopefully Nemanja will capitalise on Arsenal's shoddy defending and repay my faith.
