Double gameweek 36 comes to an end tonight, with a potentially decisive game in the chase for that all-important fourth spot. Manchester City host Tottenham Hotspur knowing that a win will see them qualify for the Champion’s League for the first time. For Spurs only a win will do if they hope to mount a realistic challenge in the closing league fixtures.

Man City XI: Hart, Richards, Kompany, Lescott, Zabaleta, Milner, De Jong, Toure Yaya, Adam Johnson, Silva, Dzeko

Spurs XI: Cudicini, Corluka, Dawson, Gallas, Rose, Lennon, Palacios, Sandro, Modric, Van der Vaart, Crouch

The home side drop Fantasy favourite Aleksandar Kolarov, who takes his place on the bench alongside Mario Balotelli and the returning Carlos Tevez. Filling that left-back slot is Pablo Zabaleta, meaning that there’s a place in the side for Micah Richards.

There’s also changes aplenty for the visitors, as recently calamitous ‘keeper Heurelho Gomes is left out, with a “back injury” being cited as the reason. Charlie Adam is the reason Gareth Bale misses out, opening a space for Wilson Palacios in a formation-altered Spurs side, which promotes the hugely popular Rafael van der Vaart up behind Peter Crouch.

    I got loads of extra points out of that DGW bonus fixture then. 7 whole points from "six" players... Stunning!

    I would make the hits again though. Do, or die - I just died, it's nothing new this season.

          Done for the season, I'm afraid.

          Frisks were at least mid-term choices and now anyone who gets highlighted in the Watchlist, Differentials or Scout Picks article should have the benefit of enough good - fixtures included.

        Dissapointing game. Although man city played negatively it was up to us to produce tonight. Kept the ball well but no cutting edge. 1 win in the last 12...thats why we aren't in europe next season. If Arry doesn't buy a new striker we won't fin top 5 next year either.

    So, with my 'two from Lampard, Adam and Suarez' decision to be made, I made by far and away the worst choice possible. Play Adam and bring in Crouch for Suarez. Go me! 8)

        Wrong.

        Crouch -> Suarez was a good move on paper, double gameweek player in for someone who was playing away at Fulham.

                I meant player form- the likes of carroll and odem. have both scored in some very difficult fixtures consistently this season.

    Ok.... 20 points behind rival and 6 ahead of another. Both have Drogba so feel I have to get him in for GW37. Also have VDV who I currently want to boot square in the nuts but not sure its worth taking a hit for NZog. Prob not as think it will be a tight game against West Ham. Worth a punt on Tevez?!

    I drunkenly got in Szczesny for Cech earlier this week to allow me to do Bent -> Drogs and leave 0.0 in the bank. I had to do the tranny early as Cech was falling in price.

    Is my original alcohol fuelled plan OK (probably bench Yaya/Young) even though my defense is shot to pieces?

      Yes, I'm fairly happy to sell/displace him if I can come up with an "idea". Especially because he's got get through the game too - I.e. god knows what injuries may occur.

      All of Silva, Balo, Kolarov, VDV and Luiz could have arguments to give them a go or keep them - I may end up shunting any or all of them.
