End of Season Awards – Defender Voting Now Open

With almost two thousand votes now gathered in the goalkeeper of the season poll, it’s time to move our Team of the Season voting on to the defence.

Our new poll is now open on the front page. You have four votes available to you, allowing you to select the group of defenders that you feel have had the biggest impact on our Fantasy season. As before, you should take into account not only their point returns, but also their value from Fantasy perspective.

Your votes will help shape our thinking for our Team of the Season – with coverage beginning early next week. A midfielders poll will follow tomorrow evening with voting on forwards taking place over the weekend.

                    I quite liked him. He didn't score many goals but he usually created a few good chances thanks to his height, although the majority of fans didn't seem to realise it. Unfortunately they couldn't look past the fact that he's a) black and b) supposedly quite 'lazy'. He wasn't too popular with the fans too say the least....

                    Annoyed me quite a lot that. Forced me into making a melvin style post on the Forest Green forum defending him!

      Wow. When I heard about it I just assumed that he did it for 10 or so seconds on the side of the pitch, still in his kit. Not all that!

      Broken record alert: Interesting how he's just won the Italian league, when last season he finished bottom in the Premier League with Grant - and Grant was still praised for the job he did! He had a midfield of Boateng - Serie A champion now, Yebda - playing well for Napoli and O'Hara. That side should never have finished bottom.
