The first version of our season 2011/12 Player Projections are now available to our Members.

Members will find the Projections for each position by logging on to the Members Area and navigating to the relevant section. Use the top menu bar to view tables by position.

These Projections offer our first attempt at predicting the returns for players over the 2011/12 season. They are based on various factors including past performance, their Opta data, the likelihood of rotation, likelihood of injury and suspension, absence due to the African Nations Cup and finally, our opinion on whether they will rise or fall in fortune over the coming season.

The Projection tables include our prediction for goals, assists, clean sheets, yellow cards, Fantasy Premier League Bonus and Fantasy Premier League points.

Hours have been spent purring over calculations and data and then the Scout team have offered their view on the current standings with final tweaks made today.

These are not our final projections – given that we have had very few pre-season matches to assess formations and starting lineups, changes are inevitable. Only today the impending transfer of Charles N’Zogbia to Villa caused a change in the projections, with N’Zogbia himself tweaked, along with Marc Albrighton and Victor Moses of Wigan.

Such changes will be ongoing. It’s likely will be revised on a daily basis as the pre-season matches and summer transfers create extra variables and influence our thinking. We will of course notify you of any major changes and updates as and when they are implemented.

For now though, enjoy pulling apart this first effort.

Mark Mark created the beast. He's now looking to tame it.

I think you go with tried and trusted Barton. He was aces 2010/11, and may get more goal scoring opps with Nolan gone, plus pens maybe.

ta. Leaning that way I have to say as mid already likely to contain 1 or 2 other untried (Taaaaaarabt and Moses or similar).

    Here's the dilemma I reckon.

Gonna need either Lampard or Torres weeks 2 & 3 (Malouda and Drogba very risky IMO).

Lamps is the safe bet, but if I get him in, will need to take a 4 point hit to bring RVP in week 4.

So, (Lamps and 4 point hit) vs Torres?

A lot will happen before week 4 so impossible to say imo sorry.

For what it's worth, Lamps is getting nowhere near my team this year until/unless he shows some top form.

Yeah, I mentioned this earlier. Unfortunately all we can say is it's one to monitor. I've got a feeling he's competing with Ferreira rather than Ivanovic in AVB's eyes, which isn't much of a competition.

I am keeping a watching brief on Bosy in pre-season. He could be a steal if he gets nod over Ivano, or AVB prefers Ivano in CB. One drawback, will AVB play two attacking FBs? At Porto he tended to one gungho, one stay at home, similar to Barca's Alves at LB + AN Other RB

60/40 Rafas favour. He was first choice (between the two) for the vast majority of last season, and when he got injured Fabio stepped up to the plate. Fabio arguably did better than Rafael so who knows who Fergie will pick.

it's a risk, but that's what a bench is for. if he does end up starting then you have a jump on everyone else, if not and they concede anyway, then you really don't lose much.

True, just 15% take-up. I find that surprising, especially with new free-kick bonus rules which Barton should benefit from.

barton wont benefit from the new rule because he takes the free kicks so can't assist them as well, gutteriez/ben arfa/Ba could benefit though.

aye, i think i few review posts that go over what was predicted against what happened would be good.

its easy to predict 5 things then gloat when 1 comes off and forget the other4 didnt which i did notice in a few posts.

be nice to have some unbiased appraisal of how the Scouts predictions actually turned out - perhaps a high level scoring system for each scout and have a leader board somewhere based on how many predictions were right/wrong.

a lot of options out there and you gotta look past the first gw otherwise you'll be be short options or wanting to make too many transfers. pick one and stick w/them, highly unlikely that both will score very high together in the same week, maybe just one or the other or neither. city aren't really known for bagging tons of goals though or playing very offensively and when they do they tend to concede. best of luck though!

Lose one of Terry/Cole and get a cheapie, that's far too much invested in the defense imo. Not sure if Briggs is a gaurenteed starter.

Don't have McCarthey AND Moses, one or the other same goes for Silva and Yaya, you like doubling up with players from the same team don't you? But i wouldn't have them both in the same position ie: both in midfield or both in defense.

Once you downgraded a few of those then try to bring in Suarez or RVP/Rooney.

Btw, i like Cox as a pick, could be a dark horse.

Yaeh the rock it could be double trouble for me. I will get suarez in at somestage but he wont be playing till gw3 at the earliest. Dont like rvp and rooneys fixtures even if they do prove to be fixture proof I figured bent and zamora better options.
As for cox if he plays like he does for Ireland after gw3 he will be flying. He will be starting team fpl for me after gw3.
Have you noticed duff cox given ireland and dunne all are darkhorse/sleeper picks? Even keane if he goes on loan??

I think I prefer Ward or Orr for QPR in the 4.0mil class, not that I know much about any of them. Attacking points for the promoted teams seem the only realistic opportunities and Ward gets up for set pieces and Orr gets forward loads.

firstly we all watch football, it's public knowledge and if you want to know about it, it's there so especially when it's premier league i personally don't think a fan's opinion is any greater than that of a non fan.
          secondly:

Kompany - nailed on, goes up for corners although not too hot at them, BPS should be going his way this season.

Zabs - rotation for wing backs with clichy, kolarov, richards and even though he is partial to the odd assist, he isnt exactly a cole or baines in that department.

at the same price, kompany wins everytime

Zabaleta will start few matches, and will be used more often as a substitute.
He was used last season on the both sides, and this one with Clishy-Kolarov on the left he'll compete on the right with Richards.
Kompany will probably be the captain .

I'm warming to Hernandez but will wait and see first few GWs, there's no rush with early fixtures. Suarez too, goal and assist man, BP magnet maybe too, but over time I'm probably be finding space for RvP, until he gets crocked, anyway.

yes. i'm also beginning to fancy hernandez short term until suarez is fit. are bent's fixtures really as good as everyone suggests. The away games are tough. And Wolves can be hard to break down, esp with R Johnson. West Brom away and leaky Spurs at OT is beginning to look more attractive. Can't see Hernandez rested for those either...
