The eagle-eyed amongst you may have spotted that our Injuries and Bans page has undergone some changes today.
Although these changes were assigned for the new site design, we’ve decided to roll out the new table prior to the redesign going live. We’re still working on optimisation on the new look, in the meantime, we wanted to switch and upgrade your injuries and bans “experience”.
The main difference from the user perspective is that we’ve added a percentage to the “Doubt” status. This percentage represents our estimate on the chance of the player being available for selection on the return date specified – so a player marked as a “Doubt 75” has, in our opinion, a stronger chance of making a return on the specified date than a player marked “Doubt 25”.
The big difference from an admin perspective is that the table is now fully data driven from our player database. This not only makes it far quicker and efficient to update, it also means we can develop new features with the injuries and bans data. A sidebar widget listing the ten latest status changes will be on its way for Members soon and we will also look to develop injury histories for all players, accessible via the player profiles in the members area.
We’ve got some catching up to do on our data but, by the morning, your injuries and bans table should be fully up to date and operational ready for the new season.
