The eagle-eyed amongst you may have spotted that our Injuries and Bans page has undergone some changes today.

Although these changes were assigned for the new site design, we’ve decided to roll out the new table prior to the redesign going live. We’re still working on optimisation on the new look, in the meantime, we wanted to switch and upgrade your injuries and bans “experience”.

The main difference from the user perspective is that we’ve added a percentage to the “Doubt” status. This percentage represents our estimate on the chance of the player being available for selection on the return date specified – so a player marked as a “Doubt 75” has, in our opinion, a stronger chance of making a return on the specified date than a player marked “Doubt 25”.

The big difference from an admin perspective is that the table is now fully data driven from our player database. This not only makes it far quicker and efficient to update, it also means we can develop new features with the injuries and bans data. A sidebar widget listing the ten latest status changes will be on its way for Members soon and we will also look to develop injury histories for all players, accessible via the player profiles in the members area.

We’ve got some catching up to do on our data but, by the morning, your injuries and bans table should be fully up to date and operational ready for the new season.

Mark Mark created the beast. He's now looking to tame it.

Interesting. That's from a year ago so is he training this month or what? Not sure what the weather's like in London but here in TO it's insanely hot so fasting seems to me to be dangerous for an office drone, let alone an athlete.

I've a link on the previous page, it essentially says that players can get a 'pass' on observances.

Will Ryan Taylor get much game time for Newcastle? Only with Barton going he could be on free kicks if playing.

If you play it right, the first one. It's all about how you play it + a little luck.

The second is better if you aren't planning on paying attention every week.

Yes. They could bring in Xavi and Iniesta and Silva would still be out there.

If Mancini were to hand you a list of his top players, Silva would be #1, hands down. He has become the creative force for the entire team.

            Ok.
Arrogance = he is bloody good, and may get frustrated with those around him.
Barca-esque whining = come on... stretching things a bit aren't we?? For example, the years we have had to put up with organised and collective ref intimidation from man u. He might give a bit of backchat, but haven't arsenal been criticised for YEARS for having no "spine, grit, fight,'englishness'"?? I don't see him rolling about too much or waving a card every tackle... the guy is tough actually.... did you see him in the last friendly, he got kicked the shit out of!
Tackling = one or two instances, blown out of proportion. Holistically, his tackling isn't bad at all. have you seen Scholes play??
Imo, people use alleged off-the-field misdemeanours; annoyance at MEDIA hype; lack of strength in depth in English players; and their football tribalistic irritation about how good he is, to have a rant at a prominent player...

Dude...stop defending him. He's a disgrace. He went up to a total stranger, called them p**fs, starts a fight then has his cronies fight for him. It's the second time he's gotten in a brawl, and he's what, 19? Several times he's gone up to the ref asking for a card and he is often complaining. He isn't tough until he plays with a broken jaw or nose.

If you have the money, coverage is excellent, I dont like Sky too much but they do cover the matches well, except from a commentary perspective, some matches are on ESPN but its not really worth it and BBC Match of the Day is on the decline imo, it used to be great, now they talk boll*x. Theres nothing better than going to the game, although that'll set you back a pretty penny, I usually only make around 10 games a season, plus a Champions League or Fa Cup final. And the kick off times vary, have a look on the official premier league website and you can see them all.

Im from Australia, Kick off times range from 9pm all the way up to 4am on weekends, midweek games normally start 6.55am. But then it all changes when daylight savings time hits.

Weekends earliest 9pm, then it goes to 11pm, 1am, 3am
Than add on an hour on each for daylight savings time

Yes that is always good, especially when there are 5 games being played at the same time, we can choose which one we would like to watch, and just flick through all the games, very helpful for FPL to keep tabs on form etc

Teenager Ross Barkley starts for Everton in their fifth pre-season friendly against Werder Bremen in Germany as David Moyes makes four changes from the side that started the 2-1 win over Carling Cup holders Birmingham City on Saturday.

Barkley comes into the Blues side along with goalkeeper Jan Mucha, Sylvain Distin and Tim Cahill. The men to miss out are Tim Howard, Seamus Coleman, Diniyar Bilyaletdinov and captain Phil Neville who are all on the bench.

Distin returns to the centre of the Everton defence alongside Phil Jagielka, whilst Tony Hibbert and Leighton Baines are the two full backs.

Barkley will play in midfield alongside Johnny Heitinga, Cahill and Leon Osman.

Victor Anichebe will partner Jermaine Beckford up-front for the second successive fixture.

What are people doing about Malouda and Suarez? Better to wait until gw2 to see if they start for their respectvie teams in gw1, or take the risk of putting them straight in?

    Given | Ruddy

    A Cole | Baines | Kompany | Briggs | Orr

    Moses | Taraabt | Benayoun | Silva | Sinclair

    Bent | Zamora | Carroll

I can't think of any midfielder I really need, I like Benayoun as Chelsea coverage.

I keep hearing that, and it comes down to midfielders but I can't see a necessary big hitter in midfield. I would get RVP in gw3 most probably, just don't want 12.0 in LIV and mun in gw 2+3. Who would you recommend?

RVP is fixture proof. Ignore the fixtures.
Rooney similar that's why they are big hitters at the moment like I said you have no captains and no good activity from several clubs.

what do you mean 'no good activity'?

And who would you get rid of for RVP? I have Carroll with the idea to see how its going and downgrade to suarez possibly, Bent is villa coverage, and good at that with pens and fixtures. Zamora is a bit of a filler, but his fixtures are good. I could downgrade him, and maybe get a big hitter in midfield, but I just don't know who. Thanks

I would take Rooney or RVP over Carroll downgrade Bent if need be when Suarez is fit with the money you have from one of Ashley Cole or Baines you don't need both that 15.5m wasted.

man utd fixures really are poor though aren't they, I would gladly have RVP in my team of course, just don't see him worth it at 12.0 till gw 4, I'd rather have Carroll for the first 3 weeks, especially with Suarez not being rushed back. Bent is my villa coverage as I don't trust N'Zogbia to hit the ground running there, I would downgrade cole, but if i was to spend the funds in midfield, who would you upgrade and to who? thanks again

I got Ivanovic as my dearest defender it then goes 6m with Kompany. That's solid enough then the money you have on Baines should be invested in the midfield I have Downing and Silva there.

Can't have your cake and eat it too. Downgrade Cole or Baines. Then spend the funds to switch Carroll --> Tevez/Aguero (depending who starts) for GW1 vs Swansea.

          Switch out for Chelsea GW2/GW3

          Then pick up RVP GW4

I think Baines is a must. Only 4 players scored more than him last year and although 8 is a lot for a defender, he is great value. Everton also have decent fixtures, albeit they do tend to start sluggishly. I also think the new BP system may favour Baines if you look at last year's stats.

        Zam, Sah, Rod
I love wigan, but they are terrible with no good signings, they may be playing promoted sides, but they should be playing with promoted sides all season long. N'Zogbia saved them and there Manager is very good.

Rod will struggle to find the net this season
