The eagle-eyed amongst you may have spotted that our Injuries and Bans page has undergone some changes today.

Although these changes were assigned for the new site design, we’ve decided to roll out the new table prior to the redesign going live. We’re still working on optimisation on the new look, in the meantime, we wanted to switch and upgrade your injuries and bans “experience”.

The main difference from the user perspective is that we’ve added a percentage to the “Doubt” status. This percentage represents our estimate on the chance of the player being available for selection on the return date specified – so a player marked as a “Doubt 75” has, in our opinion, a stronger chance of making a return on the specified date than a player marked “Doubt 25”.

The big difference from an admin perspective is that the table is now fully data driven from our player database. This not only makes it far quicker and efficient to update, it also means we can develop new features with the injuries and bans data. A sidebar widget listing the ten latest status changes will be on its way for Members soon and we will also look to develop injury histories for all players, accessible via the player profiles in the members area.

We’ve got some catching up to do on our data but, by the morning, your injuries and bans table should be fully up to date and operational ready for the new season.

Mark Mark created the beast. He's now looking to tame it.

Dude. Kyrgiakos is behind Carra, Agger, Skrtel and probably Kelly now as CB. Unlikely to get many minutes really. Also, Dann and Cahill are still outsied possibilities to join. Stear clear. Kelly or Agger from Liv's defence if you can afford them. Kelly's a no go as well if we sign Enrique.

I am looking to free up 2m to swap Suarez to RVP (to join Rooney and Zamora up front). Should I

    a) Change my keep combo from Given/Foster to Given/Ruddy plus swap A Cole to Luiz

    or

    b) Swap Zamora for Holt and Hughes for a 4.5m defender.

OK a RMT you might not have seen before...

    Al Habsi..Ruddy

    Simpson..De Laet..Gabbidon..Wilkinson..Taylor

    NZogs..Yaya..Malouda..Taarabt..(Dyer)

    Van Persie..Carroll..Rooney

So play 3 4 3 with 3 defenders and 3 goalies rotating depending on fixtures.

Always play front 7 no matter what the opposition.

£0.5m ni the bank to swap out a non-playing defender after GW1

Bit different or a bit crud?

Hey, more power to you. I think it will probably be a disaster, but you never know.

          Quick math...
Probably no more than 110pts/defense slot (no matter how well you rotate) and another 130 at keeper...

You'll be needing ~200 points at each of those 7 positions. But, a punt's a punt.

A fine mess you have got yourself into. Downgrade Yaya and one of Rooney or Carroll and plough the money into your defence. You can do it now or wait until you wildcard after GW2/GW3.

Downing and Simpson need to kick rocks (downgrade & upgrade accordingly). Downgrade Luiz as well, then you'll be able to afford a proper 2nd or 3rd striker.

If you have to have: Simpson, Bramble or Wilkinson on your squad you're doing something wrong. Simpson is the new Perch...(don't get him either...).

    Would really like some opinions!

    Currently at 3-5-2
Might move to a 4-4-2 with Tchoyi on the bench, due to united GW1

Given, (Foster) *rotate well for the first half of the season
Dunne, Kompany, A. Cole (De Laet, Simpson)
    A. Young, Silva, Larsson, Tchoyi, Moses
Aguero, Bent (Dembele/A. Johnson) *currently with Dembele but if Cameron Jerome comes, I shall consider.

It does not feel right not having a big hitter up front but I keep on coming back to a similarly balanced side. What think ye?

I have gone pretty extreme on my defence with two ever presents and then one from 3 ultra cheapies.

I really want Vdv for the first fixture but plan to sell him the following week, probably for Sess, and then use the cash the following game week to beef up my defence.

    Given (De Vries)

    Baines Kompany Orr (Simpson Caulker)

    Malouda VDV Tarrabt SIlva (Moses)

    Rodallega Zamora Bent

Drop VDV (possible injury) for one of the favoured 6/6.5 crew and get a big hitter up front, imho.

Your defense doesn't need that much more beef. After cashing in VDV... Orr -> Hughes will cost you 1.0 and Caulker/Simpson -> 4.5def will cost just 0.5

That leaves you with 2.0 to upgrade to a big hitter up front if you want it.

So I made the mistake last year of not playing the fixtures well enough. With that in mind I'm intending to start with

    Al Habsi/Howard
    Kompany/A Cole/Samba/Jagielka/Hughes
    Silva/Taraabt/Dempsey/McCarthy/Dyer
    Rodellega/Bent/Suarez

Any thoughts? That would leave me with £0 in the bank. I don't fancy Man Utd's early fixtures.

Please have a look and comment on my team:

    Robinson/Given rotation

    Kompany/Samba/Luiz (Simpson/Alcaraz)

    Toure/Sessegnon/N'Zogbia/Malouda (Ben Arfa)

    Zamora/Rooney/Rodallega

Ben Arfa will be swapped for another 5.5 for first 2 weeks but not sure for whom. He will be back in when fit.

    Undecided between RVP and Rooney

Crazy to double up on Blackburn defence. Save some money on Robinson.
Don't like Rodellega, there's better value forwards to be had.

I wouldn't pick Toure, Sessegnon and Luiz myself but they could work out well.

      Simpson=NO
      Ben Arfa=NO
downgrade Luiz for a cheap Fulham defender and star Alcaraz
GW1-3. Not big on Sessegnon this early in the season. You could do better.

      Knowing mancini it could be anything, but i would guess;

      Hart
      Richards Kompany Lescott Clichy
      De Jong Yaya
      Aguero Silva Balotelli
      Dzeko

Kind of tragic what is happening in the midfield there. SWP scores in 3 of 3 preseason games and won't get 1 min of game time.

All of this and Mancini still wants to bring in 2 more mids.

not keen on cahill and modric, very expensive... Cahill does score well, but very up and down. Modric isnt a very good fantasy scorer, even though he is a flat out star.

      I like the defence 🙂

Well, I realize that with Modric aswell, but with the new rules, I think Modric will own 😛

Who do you recomend instead of Cahill, would Downing be a good choice? =)

    Hi all

If you had 11m to spend on a striker, who would you chose from

    Drogba
    Torres
    Aguero
    Bent

I already have Suarez and Zamora, was thinking Torres, surely he can't be as bad as last season! Am guessing he'll start, Aguero was 2nd choice but am not sure of his starting potential

Any views on any other potentials?
