Our Player Projections available in the Members’ Area are being updated on a regular basis as the pre-season rolls on and events such as Barton’s fallout and the arrival of Sergio Aguero move the goalposts.

If you’re new to the site – these tables represent the Scout’s predicted returns for Premier League players in terms of goals, assists, clean sheets and several statistics relevant to the Fantasy Premier League game. They can be accessed in the Members Area right here.

There’s been a lot of tweaks over the past 48-hours so, to help our Members get a handle on the changes made, you can read on for a list of the recent activity. You can expect further tweaks to the Projections over the coming days and certainly following the weekend’s final bout of friendly matches.

Arsenal
Reduced Cesc Fabregas’ starts and overall projection.
Increased Aaron Ramsey’s starts and overall projection.

Aston Villa
Another clean sheet added to Villa’s defence and midfield to take Villa on to a predicted 12 clean sheets for the season.

Blackburn
Ryan Nelsen’s starts reduced – Gael Givet and Grant Hanley’s increased accordingly.

Bolton
Added Tyrone Mears Projection. Reduce Greter Steinsson and Sam Ricketts as a result.
Added Chris Eagles and Nigel Reo Coker. Full revision of Bolton’s midfield projections following the injury to Chung Yong Lee. Mark Davies’ projection in particular, has been boosted.

Chelsea
Full revision over the squad.
Frank Lampard’s overall projection reduced as a result of his recent deep lying role pre-season.
Youssi Benayoun’s starts and overall projection increased as a result of his pre-season form.

Everton
Mikel Arteta’s starts and overall projection decreased.
Victor Anichbe’s starts and overall projection increased.
Jermaine Beckford’s starts and overall projection increased. Louis Saha’s starts and projection reduced accordingly.

Fulham
Full revision over the squad
Added Marcel Gecov and Pajim Kasami to Fulham’s midfield.

Liverpool
Reduced Jamie Carragher’s starts and projection. Increased Dan Agger’s accordingly.
Slightly reduced Luis Suarez starts and projection.

Man City
Corrected error with Lescott’s starts and projection – these have now been increased.
Sergio Aguero added to the Forwards. Mario Baltotelli and Edin Dzeko projections tweaked accordingly. Carlos Tevez starts and projection reduced slightly.

Man United
Slight tweaks to the projections of Rafael, Fabio, Wayne Rooney, Javier Hernandez , Tom Cleverley and Dimitar Berbatov.

Newcastle
Joey Barton’s projection cut while his future is decided. A full revision of the Newcastle midfield has been made as a result.
Reduced starts and projection for Leon Best. Slight tweaks to Demba Ba and Shola Ameobi.

Norwich City
Reduced Elliot Ward starts and projection increased Zak Whitebread accordingly.

QPR
Reduced Kasper Gorkss starts and projections. Revised the defence as a result.
Added Kieron Dyer to midfield.

Sunderland
Slight revision to the defence.
Increased Stephane Sessengon goals and overall projection in the light of his pre-season form and continued role up front.

Swansea City
Jose Moreira replaces Yves Ma Kalambay as the goalkeeper option. Added Wayne Routledge to midfield and reduced starts for Nathan Dyer and Stephen Dobbie accordingly.

Tottenham
Slight tweaks to the midfield and forward projections.

West Brom
Added Ben Foster to replace Boaz Myhill as goalkeeper – saves and Bonus increased.
Removed Gonzalo Jara’s starts with Steven Reid/Billy Jones sharing the right-back role.

Mark Mark created the beast. He's now looking to tame it.

change vdv to malouda..at least for first 3gw.
Not sold on rafael, may be rotation risk with fabio and jones, may not play full games.
Lampard might be playing a deeper mid role, might wanna change for a cheaper mid and def upgrade ur strikers.
      Gervinho and gyan both gambles.
Might wanna go safe with RVP or Rooney, along with Suarez and someone like Zamora/BA/K.Davies

I would switch Clichy to Gibbs, and make Enrique into a 4mil QPR defender(even if he goes to liverpool he wouldnt be in a good devence and I think its a situation worth monitoring not taking a risk on jet). Rooney, Zamora is good, not a fan of Carroll but might be a good choice. Sessegnon,Moses, Silva are must haves IMO. Nzog has good fixtures, but I would still use the 2,5 to make a switch to someone else.

I dont really fancy Arsenals beginning fixtures and being an Arsenal fan, I would never pick up one of their defenders just for the sole reason they cant keep a clean sheet(or so it seems). I was plannig to switch Carroll to bent for gw2. Who do you suppose rather than nzog?

I'd think about downgrading clichy to a decent 5mill player (Shawcross?) and upgrade reo-cocker to a 6mil mid (o'hara?). With those forwards the only way you stand a chance of getting a Chelsea mid is to gamble on Benayoun.

Ya but he already stated hes playing a lone striker formation, so to pay 10.5-11 for a striker that may only play 45-60 mins is not worth it in comparison to say Bent, whos a guaranteed starter and full game player (who can bag goals non the less)

What's everybody's thoughts on Sunderland this season. I've not even heard a mention of Seb Larsson which is quite surprising. Anybody think he could be a good option for a 6.5 midfielder? He'll probs be on free kick duty.

I think Sinclair. Couple of reasons:

      1. As you said he's .5 cheaper.

      2. I can see Taarabt spitting his dummy out when his team's not winning. He's got the maturity of a 12 year old boy and his petulance will probably pick him up a few yellows.

Neither, if youre going for a gamble(which you are) go for the likes of Sessegnon from sunderland, as he is an OOP midfielder for only 6.5, and has scored 3 goals in pre season as a lone striker

How do we think Villa are going to line-up this season? Bent and N'Zogbia are obviously nailed on starters, and you'd expect Agbonlahor, Albrighton and Petrov to be in that category too... which by my reckoning leaves one midfield spot for one of Ireland, Bannan, Makoun, Delph or Bradley.

I'm thinking that Makoun will be preferred by a defensive-minded McCleish, which is a shame, because Bannan looks a decent player.

Depends on the rest of your team. At 5.5, I think holt needs to be rotated.

Most are rotating with Moses in forst 3 weeks or so. BZ has broken hand, so Im not sure if that will effect him.

Nzogbia has nice fixtures to start with, but who knows how he will cope with the move to Villa.

Personally Im getting Ohara with my WC in gw 4, for his 3/4 at home.

And whats goin on with Tiote? He is cheap, but not great. Why did you choose him on your team?

Anyone else considering just making a team for the first 3 gameweeks, then just taking the WC during the international break. Means you can just bag all the players with great fixtures in the first 3 without worrying about team structure or long-term scoring potential.

International break is between GWs 3 & 4. That's the optimal time to use the WC in my opinion, because you've got two weeks to catch all the bandwagon price rises, and after 3 games you'll have a better indication on what trends are occurring and who is being played in what position. At the moment, we can only speculate on Chelsea, Man City and Man Utd's line-ups, but after 3 weeks we should see how the managers intend to use their players going forward.

Gotta say most of the teams on here are almost the same.
But I think its both an inevitable and a GOOD thing.
If you look at the '% teams selected by' on the FFL site then there are plenty who have picked some very strange and frankly stupid players.
Hernandez(injured), Odem(fixtures),G Cahill(fixtures), Tiote(not a good FF pick) etc..... are all heavily picked players.

On here people debate, research and reason with other like-minded fanatics. I think the generic (for this site) RMT will start the season well

It's because the majority of FF players just pick guys based on last season's overall points, without doing any research whatsoever. I'd guess that half of the people on FPL choose a team once, then barely touch it again.

Seems silly to really- when you're paying 9.5 for Silva or 11 for Aguero, it's worth having a punt on them for GW1 even if you intend to transfer them straight out GW2: none of the other "big" players you'd be looking at have a game that comes close to Swansea at home in terms of potential returns.

I like it a lot actually.
      Some small things to consider:
Will Briggs play? (He was covering for Dempsey at LW who was still on hols after the Gold Cup)
Will Luiz play? (I've been putting him in and out of my team but have decided its too much of a risk and doubled up on city DF instead)

        I think I have a straight swap
Luiz >>> Lescott, however Luiz does look a good player at that price if he is playing.

Hoping that Briggs still has his starting spot based on Riise picking up a hamstring niggle and Davies still being out.
Think it is worth waiting to see if he plays in the Europa 2nd leg tonight.

Think Briggs could be a decent shout if he is given minutes as he will play OOP, going to wait for this evening game for a decision on him.

Too much in DF. Swap Vidic to Cole (Utd tough opening fixtures) and lose Luiz. You need to upgrade Tiote (he's a yellow card machine) and have you looked at Odems opening fixtures? to some extent he's 'fixture proof' but if West Brom keep losing to nil then he's seriously going to struggle to score FF points.
Oh and De Gea? untried in prem and see vidic point above

Kelly probs wont play, Luiz might not play, agree with the above stating that
Vidic fixtures are difficult also you've got Man UTD Keeper and defense doubled up, which is a risk. Cole would be a better option.

Moses is very popular, but if he flops it's very hard to replace him with anybody. May be change the team around a little bit. I'm keeping an eye on Moses and then downgrading to him if he's playing well, which will also free up some more money.

      Odemwingie's fixtures are horrible.
