Back in the routine yet? Maybe another familiar regular is what you need to reacquaint yourself with the route to the weekend Fantasy deadline.

We’ve duly published our first Captain poll of the season, canvassing your views on the destination of the Fantasy armband ahead of the season kick-off.

Straight way, we’ve got an interesting one.

Doubts surrounding the fitness of Robin Van Persie and Luis Suarez level the playing field a little, while Nani and Wayne Rooney will catch the eye, though both may look a risk against a West Brom side who will surely be well-drilled by the crafty Roy Hodgson. Perhaps a gamble on Fernando Torres at Stoke is in order? But then Didier Drogba could easily start at the Britannia, such is the uncertainty surrounding the Andre Villas-Boas teamsheet.

Votes are already streaming in. You can cast yours now via the homepage middle column and use this article to discuss the options.

Mark Mark created the beast. He's now looking to tame it.

A fellow tripper writes...Got an inkling you might have something. His prosaic approach might just benefit from the flair of Suarez behind him & the endless ammo from Downing. Stand still, nod head, goal. Plus he actually looked a bit more mobile against Valencia

    Gamst Pedersen Malouda Moses Silva
    Rodallega Holt Rooney
    Subs Ruddy Warnock Woodgate Sinclair

Oh I thought this was a team for rioting 🙂

I did wonder what Silva was doing in ahead of Cahill also.

For FPL I'd skip Vidic too, but keep Cahill on the shopping list for later.

Anyone think Balotelli is worth a punt? Not too pricey and has a potentially great fixture against Swansea at home, but obviously his attitude isn't great and with his showing on Sunday he might not be a definite starter. Opinions?

      Biblotelli has equal chances to:

      a) get a hatty
      b) do nothing, get a card, subbed early
      c) not play, sit the bench and watch the nice boys play

Too much chaos surrounding him for my liking.

IMO, the game is fun when you gamble a bit on players like this -- but you can only, I'd advise, do it with one, maybe two, players this early (when so much is unknown).

If all your other guys are 'certain', then go for it.

But a team with VDV, Suarez, Balotelli, Rafael, Ivanovic, etc. is a recipe for heartache.

Not sure if it's worth doing anymore work on my team until the Sneijder thing is done because he will be a must for me, just so long as its done before kick off. Loving the stress.

Anyway, last year on this I was given a few codes for fun leagues to join and also the leagues on this, can anyone point me in thr right direction please.

    Cheers.

Not sure if its a done deal as yet, but based on what someone else just posted that they had seen from a journalist on twitter, 33mill accepted, just terms to be agreed. This seems to be gathering some momentum and has been for too long not to have some substance.

And he is one of my favourite players so he is a must have for me, so I wil have to put everything on hold in the hope something happens before the weekend.

          He's an attacking midfielder.

Plays either as a deep-lying playmaker or as a Van Der Vaart type in the hole second striker.

My guess is he'll play in the Scholes role, so deeper. It's what United need most. Rooney will take up the number 10 role.

Sneijder won't be a very good FF prospect in my opinion.

Indeed. Originally had RVP but came to a choice of N'Zogbia Torres and a 4.5 defender or RVP, 6.0 midfielder and a 5.0 defender.
Zogs seems pretty good with the coming fixtures.

if you dropped torres for bent, then you'd probaly want to switch nzogbia for someone. i wouldnt want that many funds tied into villa, even with good fixtures (assume u have given too)

          Still hanging on, yes.

I got it covered so I can play some crappy defenders instead if I need to but playing a defender who is a threat at set pieces against Arsenal isn't the end of the world either. I'll do it if I need to.

    Kompany, Gabbidon, Brown, Simpson,

Midfield - Malouda, N'Zogbia, Tarrabt, Moses.

    as said before, thinking between

    1/Baines & Sessegnon or

    The Long Tchoyi question...

Anyone have any ideas as to how WBA are going to be lining up with Long signing?

I'd pencilled in Tchoyi as a punt - last season he got very little match time but when he did he did extremely well and seemed to have found favour with Roy.

So who's in the know about Italian football or more importantly Inter Milan.

I've seen Sneijder a few times and he seems a pretty awesome player. Why are they so keen to get rid? I realise they want Tevez but can't afford him but that's not a straight replacement. Do they have other decent midfielders/attacking mids who can take Wesley's place? I mean they have Eto, why do they need Tevez so badly?

Their new manager plays a 3-4-3 formation. He doesn't like playing with an attacking midfielder. He tried 3-4-1-2 but it didn't really work so.

I'm not really a huge Sneijder fan. His stats doesn't really make him a tempting option at FPL.

          2010/11:
          4 goals, 3 assists

          2009/10:
          4 goals, 4 assists

That's when playing behind the striker, if he plays deeper at Man Utd I don't think he would get that many points. He would still get 3-5 goals from set pieces I guess. His free kicks are awesome!
