The Captain Poll – Gameweek One

Back in the routine yet? Maybe another familiar regular is what you need to reacquaint yourself with the route to the weekend Fantasy deadline.

We’ve duly published our first Captain poll of the season, canvassing your views on the destination of the Fantasy armband ahead of the season kick-off.

Straight way, we’ve got an interesting one.

Doubts surrounding the fitness of Robin Van Persie and Luis Suarez level the playing field a little, while Nani and Wayne Rooney will catch the eye, though both may look a risk against a West Brom side who will surely be well-drilled by the crafty Roy Hodgson. Perhaps a gamble on Fernando Torres at Stoke is in order? But then Didier Drogba could easily start at the Britannia, such is the uncertainty surrounding the Andre Villas-Boas teamsheet.

Votes are already streaming in. You can cast yours now via the homepage middle column and use this article to discuss the options.

Mark Mark created the beast. He's now looking to tame it.

    Mark out of 15?

    Given Ruddy
    Cashley-Kompany-De Laet-Gabbidon-Simpson
    Nani-Taarabt-Nzogbia-Moses-Silva
    Rooney-Suarez-DJ

Is Rooney a necessity, or would my money be better spend elsewhere?

Keiron has looked eye brow-raisingly good in pre season, full of running! - Rangers severeley lack pace at full back and Neil is concerned we'll be exposed. Dyer used to play wing back i seem to remember, and has rekindled his love for playing further back now that he'll only be paid if he plays.

            Correct.

He played for England at RB before and I think NW starts with him there, although there's rumours that Derry is being shipped out. If Derry goes I imagine Dyer starts in is holding role next to Faurlin in the 2 hole of the 4-2-3-1 formation.

Good to have another hoops fan on board too.

Weird thing is, I found it easier to do Nani/Drogs than to have Lamps/Zamora.

They're legally allowed to carry a ceremonial knife. Wouldn't catch me fu*kin with one of em, that's fo f'kin sho. Nice chaps tho. Used to work with one, dab hand with that rapid knife between the fingers business.

So what's the best team seen so far which accommodates all the London postponements which might occur?

It's annoying that we have to factor that in even. would completely ruin FPL in my view if there are postponments already..absolute idiots

Why would it ruin FPL? It's a handicap that everyone has to deal with.

I'm all for handicaps and postponments come winter..but I always love the first few weeks of FPL : NO champions league group games..just 3 weeks of pure league football...and now it's been ruined.
