Back in the routine yet? Maybe another familiar regular is what you need to reacquaint yourself with the route to the weekend Fantasy deadline.

We’ve duly published our first Captain poll of the season, canvassing your views on the destination of the Fantasy armband ahead of the season kick-off.

Straight way, we’ve got an interesting one.

Doubts surrounding the fitness of Robin Van Persie and Luis Suarez level the playing field a little, while Nani and Wayne Rooney will catch the eye, though both may look a risk against a West Brom side who will surely be well-drilled by the crafty Roy Hodgson. Perhaps a gamble on Fernando Torres at Stoke is in order? But then Didier Drogba could easily start at the Britannia, such is the uncertainty surrounding the Andre Villas-Boas teamsheet.

Votes are already streaming in. You can cast yours now via the homepage middle column and use this article to discuss the options.

Mark Mark created the beast. He's now looking to tame it.

I'd go for the second option - only Rooney is a nailed on starter out of those 4.

Gabby has been playing wide and with nzog coming in and a favoured central mid of petrov, makoun, bannan or Ireland, he defo wont start often. Nzog for an extra mill is much better value.

I've been pondering that one myself quite a bit. I read an article comparing the performance of the two (as well as young and downing) here:

My only concern is whether or not Albrighton is going to get to play each weekend or if there will be some kind of rotation set up for him.

Given what is in that article about dribbles attempted and dribbles completed, it seems that the man that will be on the ball most of the time will be N'Zogbia, which means that there is most possibility for him of drawing penalties and of converting free kicks (I think he is on free kicks and penalties). It seems that Albrighton was much more efficient at scoring last year than the other three but didn't get the playing time.

All being said, it is a very interesting question and given the investment in N'Zogbia, a choice of Albrighton could give someone that wanted an investment in an Aston Villa player a good differential.

Sorry. I thought N'Zog was on free kicks and pens. I guess even when they finally get N'Zog off of Wigan in the "Set Piece Takers" section it's probably still very likely that Bent will be on penalties and free kicks.

Even if they play similar minutes, you'd have to say that most attacks would probably flow through Nzog and he's likely to score more than Albrighton too. (my opinion only though) I reckon he's worth the extra. Though that said, I don't think he's currently in my team. But then neither is Albrighton.

          Clear as mud?!? 😉

he's currently the most selected player in the game! Understandable i suppose given Villa's opening fixtures.

Don't think he'll be on pens. Surely Bent is still number one from the spot.

I guess that all of this has to be balanced out with two other considerations:

            1. What will you do with the extra 1 mil? Can an extra 1 mil somewhere else offset the possible loss of points between N'Zog and Albrighton?

            and

            2. Is there better value at 6.5 mil than Albrighton? Taarabt? Sessegnon (a bandwagon that I'm not quite on board with)? Wright-Phillips if he moves?

Just a few other factors to consider...

He's going to stay in my team for now. Better of having him than not I suppose!

It's too early for differentials. All that stuff will become clearer with the first wildcard.

Taarabt is much better value at 6.5. Will play every game, take every set piece. Although if u want a cheaper player then jump on the Moses bandwagon. I'm on it and it will be a smooth, enjoyable ride.....for the first 3 weeks!

Question marks over Taarabt for the weekend with these riots? I don't reckon they'll have the police presence for the game to go ahead! Things could get better by the weekend though.

I am also on the Moses bandwagon. I have, to this point, avoided the Taarabt bandwagon however in favor of the much less crowded Hoolahan and Danny Graham wagons. I think that Hoolahan could be a steal at 5.5 (playing at the tip of the midfield diamond) and Graham seems at 5.0 to be a slightly better value than Holt or Campbell from the promoted sides.

If im ever going to put my faith in a Wigan player its going to be in these first 3 gameweeks. Moses is the sensible bet. I'm pretty sure the only reason people have a interest in Holt is because he's on penos.

True. If she was 6'5" and built like a brick sh*t house then maybe. Failing that it'd have to be the Drog. Not so sure as the season progresses though. He is a rotation risk even if he starts GW1.

It all depends on whether Luiz is still injured, if yes, then I will go Alex and Rooney/RVP for GW 1. If not, A.Cole and drogba it is, just have to hope he plays

Reports on Twitter that a newly qualified surgeon caught up in the riots has saved numerous lives, and will most likely receive an official commendation for bravery. Think his name was Rob? He had a really fit missus and a lovely sun tan.

yep i posted earlier i wonder if FPL will extend the deadline until gwk2 if it does happen

could end up with just 2 or 3 games on tho in which case id look at a gw2 wc i think n hope to gain alot of points over my rivals

Bring in tear gas, water cannon, and dogs. No namby f*ing pamby, like what this country has become. No more obsession with their rights, no more PC crap. You run riot, you get hit hard, thats how it should be. Instead the police are probably shitting themselves for fear of being sued.

My missus just home, she's saying some of her young work colleagues are getting txts from friends wanting to start a riot in Camberley.

If the education system is broken, teenagers grow up with no respect for anybody, they all know their rights, teachers cannot discipline them for fear of breaching their rights, generations of young parents are totally clueless on how to bring up children, many of whom are then happy to go onto benefits cos this blasted country hands it out like confetti.

I'd love to see these yobs get a real good beating.
