From MI6 to the CIA, never has there been such rigid protection of confidential information than that surrounding Mark’s initial Fantasy squad. So, when super-secret agent himself joined me in the studio for our first podcast of the season, I was resigned to getting thrown the odd teasing titbit but little else.

However, it was to my very great surprise that he’d gone and left the proverbial back door open, there, “live” on air, he handed me a laptop giving me open access to his team on screen right in front of me. Since I was already in the house, he reluctantly decided to show me around.

An unexpected twist to our first podcast of the season and, dare I say it, a rare privilege for the listener.

  N'Zogbia would be the less risky options if you're looking at fixtures, chances of starting, prem experience etc.
  
  But Ramsey is a decent option, too.
  
  I'd go for N'Zogbia - you can always downgrade to Ramsey once fixtures pick up.

      Barton was great last year and even continued scoring well after Carroll had left but with so many other players going and Barton falling out of favour I can't see him making much of an impression either with CS or assists (who's going to score for Newcastle this season?)
      
      As for the rest it really depends who else you already have

  wilshere: dont bother hes a good player but probably arsenals worst in FPL terms
  luiz : probably benched, id wait til he plays 2 games back to back before id consider him

  de Gea: shaky start in Charity Shield; United's fixtures don't scream of defensive investment.
  
  Luiz: competing with Alex for centre-half spot and eye for goal; lacks discipline though. Could be worth an investment if he holds down his place. Cole preferred at the moment.
  
  Warnock: will be given a chance by McLeish and at the price/with Villa's fixtures not a bad shout.
  
  Wilshere: good player but not a Fantasy points machine. Ramsey preferred.
  
  Jarvis: assists and some goals but don't like Wolves' fixtures.
  
  Barton: may or may not stay at Newcastle. That issue alone means a steer-clear approach.
  
  Rodallega: fixtures appear to suit but I think N'Zogbia's absence will have a massively detrimental impact all round. Quite a few on here putting faith in Moses to help out. Good luck!

  De Gea - too expensive. Other goalies out there that will get decent point and are cheaper
  Luiz - bad finish to season but AVB will know him better than most
  Warnock - not sure how much he'll play
  Wilshere - injured. Where will he pkay, if same a last season then too deep
  Jarvis - good shout
  Barton - will he play?
  Rodallega - good shout for first couple of weeks.

  Got to be Holt I suppose, but I wasn't happy with either so made changes elsewhere.
  
  Read the Fulham message boards earlier today and they don't rate AJ at all. They're expecting him to move on to a lower level of football and for Dembele to play more with Jol bringing someone fresh in.

I was top 10.000 last season. Hadde a crappy start, but had a great run in.

My team:
Kenny / Given
Orr / Alcaraz / Kompany / De Leat / Rangel
N'Zogbia / Silva / Moses / Nani / Sinclair
Fletcher / Rooney / Carroll

Always using 3 defenders, the selected 5 rotates VERY well, as do the keepers.

Malouda in for Silva in GW2.

I have a question that is making me crazy: Tarabt+Bent OR Nani+Fletcher? I know Tarabt and Bent is penalty takers, but so is Fletcher, and i feel that Nani and Fletcher will do better form open play. Tarabt hasn't scored in pre-season while Nani on the other hand has been excellent. Wolves has had a good pre-season and has a good attacking squad. I think they will do well this year. What do you say?

  Fletcher isn't first choice penalty taker. As a Wolves fan Doyle is first choice. Fletcher may or may not be second choice, I have seen Ebanks-Blake and Milijas also take penalties. None of these were on the pitch when Fletcher took one against Birmingham. I think we are an improving team, I wouldn't back our defence. O'Hara is our obvious choice but he looked well of the pace when we played Zaragoza last weekend so I would wait and see.
