While we wait for further information on the Fantasy Premier League (FPL) situation, I thought I’d draw your attention to a recent rule tweak concerning the Bonus Point awards which some of you may have missed.

The FPL rules now state…

“Bonus points will be awarded on the Monday morning after the weekend matches are played. Any matches played on a weekday night will be awarded on the following morning.”

So, just to prevent even more frustration later this evening, we thought we’d make this clear to all in advance. The Bonus Points will be awarded after all the Gameweek action has been reviewed and any scoring issues addressed – which, given that they are now based on a system driven by a statistical index – the EA SPORTS Player Performance Index – is perhaps not surprising.

Fantasy Football Scout will of course be publishing a review of the Gameweek on Monday, discussing the Bonus Points and the EA SPORTS PPI in full.

Later today we also hope to have our first set ICT Scout Index scores available to Members which should offer some guidance on where the Bonus Points are likely to go.

As mentioned in my recent comments in the site earlier this morning, if we can get an update on the FPL situation, we will pass what we can.

The Bonus points might be updated on Monday - is that when all other points get totted up too? Can anyone say that the deferred update of points is a positive benefit? I can't think of a single advantage - the live update of points (admittedly subject to correction) was one of the great things about the FPL. Is it a glitch? Or will we just not have a 'live' points update?

The thing I find so disappointing about the Fantasy Football League is the way it ends. There is no big announcement who the winner is or a summary of the final season (after it has ended). Its just stops and I just find it really strange.

I truly hope that we have not lost the live points system. That was a great afternoon's entertainment watching points come come and go.

On the Telegraph Fantasy Football League, they have stated on the page that Live Scoring has had some technical problems and apologised. Nothing on the Premier Fantasy League.

I dont like the new design either!

Does anyone know when teh actual points (not bonus) will be launched on FPL? What happened to the real time scoring, big disappoinment. Got so many ptehr people interested in it, only to be presented with an inferior version for 2011/12, hope it gets sorted.

Yes the new FPL is off to a very dissapointing start indeed, the site has regressed quite a bit from last year. Let us hope the live points will return, I don't want to have to wait until the end of the gameweek to see my score!

  It isn't just the impatient angle though- There was pathos and/or bathos (but no dogtanian) in the way the scores unfolded. How a last minute goal could swing a league. The banter of that was the cool bit.
  
  I think it is pretty clear they're having problems, so maybe this will all be sorted for week 2.
