The second day of the 2011/12 Premier League season sees two of the main title contenders in action. The new Chelsea boss, Andre Villas-Boas, has a tough first competitive assignment at the Britannia Stadium, to take on Tony Pulis’ Stoke City. Following that, the reigning Champions Manchester United are also on the road, with The Baggies waiting for them at The Hawthorns.

News from the Britannia has filtered through, and there’s a debut for Stoke City centre-back Jonathan Woodgate. He plays in a 4-4-2 that sees Jon Walters partner Kenwyne Jones up front.

For the visitors, Fernando Torres is passed fit and plays at the expense of Didier Drogba. The Spaniard is flanked by Florent Malouda and Salomon Kalou.

All we need to make FPL is to add a way to see all the points in a match. That way it allows you to see who got X amount of points and it allows you to compare the points to other players. You can see who assisted, who scored and whose been carded.

We need the old feature back of seeing all the points in a match. Bring this back would be nothing but good news.

Chelsea really are frustrating from a fantasy perspective. First game last year, many people bail on them, and drogba in particular as he is a doubt.... they bang in 6 with a drogba hat trick.

This year, alot of people make sure to have chelsea coverage so the same mistake is made, and frankly they look average, and a waste of money.

  Chelsea had an exceptional start last season, but I doubt many would expect them to bang in 4/5/6 goals every game for the first 5 gamesweeks.
  
  Their players cost that much because over the course of the season, they will be amongst the points leaders.
  
  Stoke are not a bad side. They are not likely to get pulverised 5-0 at home.
  
  Based on your logic, every single player that played on Saturday is 'average and a waste of money'. Chill out. It's only GW1 ffs.

    ahah ohh i'm just incredibly bitter that drogba didnt start. My eye is on the next match against west brom... and im not seeing a reason to get another chelsea player in. Torres.. is ok but not worth the 11m, malouda and kalou look poor, and lamps has been pretty quiet.
    
    Obviously not going to kneejerk quite yet, but i'm pretty disillusioned here

a quick question to those of you who know about price changes....on 'FISO crack the code' target nti seems to be set at 74841 for all the players who are being bought in so far. is this figure quite high? if target nti remains at this, prices would remain quite static therefore my question is, will this change once big moves on daily nti's become evident?

    He will get a lot more chances in the next few games though. Classic Torres twisting run just before half-time which he was unlucky with. He has been our best player along with Terry. Very promising for El Niño.
