FPL Issue Apology

Evening all. The FPL have this afternoon issued an apology over the recent log-in debacle and look to have made changes on the back of the weekend’s problems.

The link to the full announcement is highlighted above, so I’ll leave you to check it out for yourselves if you haven’t done so already. The first point (below) means we are all allowed free transfers from now up until the Gameweek 2 deadline on Saturday morning- compensation for many of us who were unable to make those last-minute changes from Friday evening onwards..

1. Receive unlimited transfers
No points will be deducted for any transfers you make up to the Gameweek 2 deadline (11:30 BST on Saturday 20th August 2011). If you have already made transfers and had points deducted, these will be restored to your overall total by midnight on Tuesday 16th August 2011. If you have already opted to play your wildcard, this too will be restored at the same time.

From a Fantasy Football Scout perspective, then, just to assure you- we will be resetting any of our affiliated leagues- they will all now start from Gameweek 2 to ensure a level playing field for those involved.

    I bet most people playing wont even know this free transfer week is available, no mention on the site. Was pissed off with it 1st week, now I’m raging.
    Everyone has a free go at amending their team, anyone who got it right first week gets no advantage, and even if you change your team, everyone can see your transfers!!
    Just gets worse.
    I might have missed it but are the H2H leagues dead, still nothing on the page to say who's playing who etc? anyone know?

      I would hope that they will sort the issue of visible transfers soon. I am not going to be making any "real" transfers until this has been done.

          Do we assume there will still be price rises this week? Everyone piling in for Suarez already so opportunity to potentially gain 0.1 on him if this continues and the switch back if you don't want to keep him.

          Suarez and Cahill almost certainly will rise 0.2, assuming that FPL annouce the free transfers on the actual FPL website (which they will) and don't freeze prices (which they might).
