Recovered from Sunday? Knee perfectly rigid? Wildcard intact? Good. The morning has broken and, unlike the first morning, the FPL Bonus has been dropped into the game, revising our Gameweek three totals.

Here’s a quick glance at how the Bonus appears to pan out with our Gameweek review over on the FPL site to follow later today.

Aston Villa vs Wolves
Berra (3) Ward (3), Agbonlahor, Hennessey, Hunt (1)

One of only two matches where the bonus points were spread. Christophe Berra and Stephen Ward share the maximum with identical EA SPORTS PPI scores on the day. Gabby Agbonlahor was Villa’s top Index earner, sharing a single bonus point with Hennessey and Hunt of Wolves. Shay Given and Stephen Warnock just missed out on joining the party.

Blackburn vs Everton
Baines, Howard (2), Arteta (2)

Food for thought for those who are looking to free up some cash by shipping out Leighton Baines. Clearly, when Everton keep a cleanie, Baines is firmly in the hat for bonus points. He pips team-mates Howard and Arteta here in what was a very fortunate win for David Moyes’ side. Neville and Distin were just outside the bonus awards – Mauro Formica was Blackburn’s leading EA SPORTS PPI candidate.

Chelsea vs Norwich
Lampard, Bosingwa, Holt

No surprises here. Frank Lampard was back amongst the big scorers and, in any other Gameweek, would have attracted more Fantasy headlines. Jose Bosingwa’s renaissance continues with further bonus recognition, while Norwich are represented by skipper Grant Holt who just edges out Ramires to claim a single bonus point. Significantly, Juan Mata put in a strong EA INDEX PPI score (21) in just 34 minutes on the pitch.

Liverpool vs Bolton
Henderson, Skrtel, Adam

The three goalscorers share the bonus – again, perhaps not a major surprise. The absence of Luis Suarez will disappoint plenty however – with no goal or assist to show for his efforts, the Uruguayan’s display was not recognised by a strong EA SPORTS PPI leaving him well short of bonus recognition. A contentious issue and certainly this week’s major talking point when it comes to the bonus awards – would the old system had awarded Suarez bonus? We can only speculate but clearly, without a positive goal/assist contribution in the game, players like Suarez will struggle to overcome team-mates who do contribute goals/assists, on pure performance statistics alone.

Man United vs Arsenal
Young, Rooney, Van Persie

No real surprises here given the avalanche of points hoovered up by Young and Rooney. Robin Van Persie’s bonus over other United candidates will raise a few eyebrows given that he missed a first-half penalty. Clearly his goal and overall contribution was enough to see off Anderson who figured next in the EA SPORTS PPI from this match.

Newcastle vs Fulham
Best, Cabaye, Gutierrez

There can be no such quibbles here. Leon Best’s brace earns him maximum bonus recognition while Cabaye and Gutierrez – two of Newcastle’s most consistent performers so far this season, fetch the remaining supplementary points. Danny Murphy was Fulham’s top scoring EA SPORTS PPI performer on the day, behind a host of Newcastle players who dominated matters statistically.

Swansea vs Sunderland
Taylor, Brown, Rangel

Swansea’s attacking full-backs, so involved in the Brendan Rodgers masterplan, suck up two lots of bonus awards from the 0-0 draw with Sunderland. Interestingly, Taylor is now looks assured of starts following Alan Tate’s bizarre golfing accident. Wes Brown was again the standout performer for the visitors. Michel Vorm again registered a double figure EA SPORTS PPI score as his impressive season continues.

Tottenham vs Man City
Dzeko, Nasri, Kompany

City’s reborn centre-forward dominates, returning a huge EA SPORTS PPI score to claim the maximum bonus award. Samir Nasri’s hat-trick of assists has him placed in second on a fine City debut, while Vincent Kompany is again the top City defender on the index, claiming a single bonus, despite conceding. Gareth Barry and Yaya Toure were next for City in the rankings, with Tottenham’s Younnes Kaboul their only representative in the top ten from this match.

Wigan vs QPR
Di Santo, Rodallega, Boyce

Franco Di Santo’s brace has him well out in front when it comes to bonus awards from Wigan’s 2-0 win over QPR. Hugo Rodallega and Emmerson Boyce join the party in a Latics clean sweep. Shaun Derry was the visitors shining light as Wigan dominated the EA SPORTS PPI rankings here. Adel Taarabt again paying the price for off target efforts in a defeat – despite presenting QPR’s biggest threat on the day.

West Brom vs Stoke
Shawcross, Jones (2), Shotton (2)

A miserable display by the Baggies sees Stoke monopolising the bonus awards and the EA SPORTS PPI rankings. Tony Pulis’ side grabbed the three points with a late goal with Ryan Shawcross taking the defensive plaudits. Kenwyne Jones and goalscorer Ryan Shotton shared 2 bonus points, just edging out Asmir Begovic in the index.

Mark Mark created the beast. He's now looking to tame it.

I think there still needs to be some calm when it comes to United and their fixtures. Yesterday was a freak situation against a crippled Arsenal - United still have Stoke, Liverpool, City and Chelsea to come in the next six - I just can't see them running riot against that lot no matter how impressive they were yesterday.

Camzy is very overrated on this site. He consistently makes long posts about specific players and reasons to get them in only to do a complete u-turn the next day.

It isn't really his fault though, he doesn't tell people what to do, everyone just listens to him blindly though

I'd say Young and Dzeko may well rise by at least .2, the rest I'm not so sure about. Rooney is 12m so is only likely to be available to those playing their WC or taking hits and a lot of transfers will be spread out between Nasri, Silva and Aguero

      Probably only Dzeko.

You need fairly low original ownership and huge transfers in to get a .2 rise.

And more than a .2 rise before the next deadline is pie in the sky IMO.

Yup, also coincidently in the week where I played my wildcard. Although that time it was the Saturday changes that didn't happen, and there should have been a fair few of them. In the end it cost me about 0.3 because the Sunday transfer activity (usually quite high) basically didn't count for a few players - Scholes is one I remember - and so they didn't go up twice over the course of the week, whereas they would have done without the glitch.

I think it's a conspiracy against me, but I can't prove it just yet.

I have faith in this (our) philosophies. When I started 2 seasons ago I had no clue...had a poor team and basically fumbled my way through. Found this site halfway through and began thinking like most of you do and not only did I shape a better team I ended up winning my mini-league...I have faith in our thinking and systems...lady luck has just not been around much...

Worst bp this year, rvp. He even missed a penalty. I wonder if he got points just for getting it on target.

Any of the other 13 United players that featured yesterday? Arsenal lost 8-2 FFS, none of their players should have been anywhere near bonus points.

Well none of the United defence looked particularly assured, Wellbeck/Hernandez didn't do much, Nani was good but was subbed for Park, who surely didn't play long enough and have that much of an impact on the game, similar arguement with Anderson and Giggs? Cleverly could maybe have picked one up.

RVP did play quite well and had a few good chances. I guess the penalty miss didn't count negatively towards his PPI then!!!

The problem is the leaders still have these players, its trying to find the differential to haul yourself back up, but then is it worth WC to take advantage of the price rises?

On the other hand, if said players continue to score big and you don't have them. Rivals that do have them pull further away.

(though they're obviously not going to score as big as they did this week every week).

I'd be inclined to do it.

Trouble is, you'll end up with pretty much the same team as them, except they have the point haul for week 3 and you don't. So you're relying on your defenders and cheap midfielders to provide the differential to catch up.

I've got Rooney and Young, but not Dzeko (have Suarez instead). Was going to swap Young for VDV but not any more. If I was on my rivals position, I'd be looking more at Mata/RVP to try and find a differential. If they just end up with the same team as me, then that boosts my chances of winning my mini league.

My only consideration would be whether to swap Suarez/Aguero/Young for Mata/RVP/Dzeko. That's the debate on the table as I see it. If Fab and Nasri were at Arsenal I'd be in there for RVP like a flash. But with this bunch of Arsenal puddings...? That said, RVP should have scored two at Old Trafford - who cares about the Arse defence?

Swansea are very much a home team. Along with Arsenal having to mull over an 8-2 battering for two weeks, I can see a bit of a whipping for Swansea, I'm afraid.

So Moses, N'Zogbia, Carroll, Cahill, Baines (to a degree), Yaya, Malouda...and various other punts and good bets and consistent performers...all bombing around us...Rotation floundering as away wins over home matches..totally against our philosophy...all this and more makes you wonder just how much you really do know about football doesn't it.

I would imagine order will be restored very shortly or perhaps it's the first indication that change is in the air...Anyone got any theories on why we scouts are getting the hoof against the head right now? I'm doing a Didier twirl in the air right now...and falling hard!

Caulker Boswinga RTaylor Enrique De Laet
        Walcott Nasri Young Moses Dyer
        Rooney Suarez Dzeko
        ??

Nasri be a differential and Dzeko, Rivals have Augero and Silva

Looks like a bit knee jerky but taking into account Manchesters great form and Walcott and Suarez are the only other players ticking.
Taylor taking freekicks, Boswinga and Enrqiue on fine form too.

Decided I need to wild card, while I thought I had a better team than my rivals overall, Suarez doing nothing and them having Rooney(c) and Young has killed me and i'm now 60 behind a league i was leading by 20, having spent some cash on transfers.

I've sat here debating it, then thought sod it. I need to cover off their future points haul so WC'd in Rooney and Young, amongst some other changes.

I have Aguero. Once I'd finished I swapped Aguero for Dzecko. I'll swap him back the day before the next match after the international fixtures.

I know its early to play, but didn't want to lose any more ground.
