Neil Warnock leads a host of Premier League managers set to deliver debuts this weekend, with new signings Shaun Wright-Phillips and Joey Barton likely starters for QPR in Monday’s clash with Newcastle.

Arsene Wenger will surely draft in new boys Per Mertesacker and Mikel Arteta and neighbours Spurs will give debuts to Scott Parker and Emmanuel Adebayor as they visit a Wolves side that looks set to be unchanged once more. Peter Crouch should lead the Stoke attack against visiting Liverpool, while Alex Ferguson continues to trust his young guns at the back and will re-unite Wayne Rooney with Javier Hernandez up front, as Danny Welbeck misses out with a hamstring problem.

Asamoah Gyan looks set to be ruled out for Sunderland, paving the way for Nicklas Bendtner to make his Black Cats debut against Andre Villas-Boas’ Chelsea, as the Blues head to the Stadium of Light without Didier Drogba, with the Ivorian continuing his recovery from concussion.

Would you captain Dempsey? Hell no.
Would you captain Young away to Bolton? Probably not.
Would you captain Walcott at home to Swansea. Hell yes!

Depends if you have RVP or Rooney aswell i guess.

    Dempsey or Arteta?

Dempsey seems to be slightly OOP, playing forward much more. But Arteta's a little cheaper and seems like he'll have a huge role with Arsenal. Any thoughts there?

Arteta. Dempsey much less likely to be up front with Zamora fit and Ruiz being signed.

Thanks. Good points. I'm also considering Walcott--would you take him over Arteta? I'd prefer to save the money, though, and I think Arteta could be better value than Walcott.

I'd take Arteta over Walcott. He should be a more consistent point scorer and hopefully share the set-pieces with RVP.

Both Fulham & Arsenal are out of form with no wins between them. However, expect both to win with home games vs Blackburn & Swansea respectively. Arteta personally.

One expensive midfielder, three at 6.0 to 6.5, and Moses. So, a pretty bad one.

It doesn't matter though, I just think of the 8 attacking positions as equal. Why does it matter if your money is up top rather than in midfield? Ok, midfielders get a point for a CS and an 5 for a goal rather than 4, but that's not the be all and end all - strikers score more goals. Ultimately, if you think the striker options are more likely to score more highly than the midfield options, then I see no problem with spending more money on those options.

Rooney, RVP, Suarez, Dzecko, Bent all look like good value (Bent less so maybe) so I wouldn't worry about having 3 of them, especially when the 6.0 mids (Brunt, Jarvis et al) look a lot better than the strikers at the same price.

Whats with the scout picks? some of us want/have to make early decisions! whats the point in not being able to see them until friday evening?

Have they always been this late? is it just me? I'm sure they used to be up by like...Thursday? Once it gets to Friday, all the prices have gone up so often by that time you can't afford the players you want, meaning your hand is forced earlier, making the scout picks redundant.

    Is this midfield too weak?

Yes, bar Nasri. The others will score 2pts. most weeks.

What do you think of this:

Rooney Dzeko Mata Brunt(with Nasri Walcott)
    or
Sturridge RVP Young and Silva (with Nasri Walcott)

      A. Silva & Nasri is probably a bit overkill imo.

    The guardian sheets are online

    http://www.guardian.co.uk/football/2011/sep/09/sunderland-chelsea-premier-league-squad-sheets

and I wonder how much I can rely on them. I would love to play Mata and could need the money from Bergo, if Luiz will take his place.

How reliant are those team sheets?
