Patience, the antithesis of our oft-used phrase ‘knee jerk’ is the theme that runs through our latest Podcast episode.

Mark is adamant that he’s set to stand by his men, despite paltry returns thus far. Having missed out on the Wayne Rooney hat-tricks though, can he really afford to risk another avalanche?

Also in discussion this week – dubious pinball assists and Dzeko rotation pains, all blended with the usual mix of moans, speculative opinions and random musings that make up the regular ScoutCast offering.

No changes for me this week unless I hear Brunt isn't playing.
I said RVP was getting nowhere near the armband but he's back in my thoughts again. Should really stick with Rooney but everyone will be backing Rooney although I see him maybe scoring but he won't get a hattrick (or will he) mmmmmmm I hate RVP for this

Unbelievably... bosingwa. Don't expect Che to keep a cleaanie or Bos to be involved in much attacking play. As much as Moses has flattered to deceive and has (unfortunately) been a victim of the new BP system, he has a chance of getting an assist against an Everton team that must be at least a bit out of sorts...

Rooney & brunt > odem & VDV... why am i considering getting rid of rooney? This is madness. Although, chelsea will keep it tight at OT, he is only after 90 mins last night, next league game is stoke away, and then norwich home. I think fergiewill play him vs basle & rest him for norwich home gamw, giving berba a run instead. Then two england games fter that. Still, madness getting rid of him.

Woodgate should start for Stoke this weekend. Trouble is you might need to transfer in a few weeks. Swansea are sooo good on the ball - I really think (from watching them) that they have a great chance of keeping clean sheets AT HOME (they are at home this w/e).

i think you need one more big hitter in midfield.

Kompany, Bos, Ward and one other cheap but tight defender shoudl be sufficient. I'd be inclined to maybe downgrade Shawcross and Warnock to something like Simpson and maybe N Talyor

That'd give you £3.9m in the bank and then you could maybe do Walters > Nani or Jarvis > Mata or something like that

I have to avoid all of those. RVP and Suarez have not hit their stride in the prem so far. I'm sure they will at some point, but I'll catch that wave when it comes.

sturridge is a strong rotation threat. Don't want to tie money up there... Adebayor - waiting for a while to see him hit consistent form, and suarez... well, I want to see the team helping im to get a goal a game, and Liverpool are not quite there yet imho.

This is a transfer plan for the next few weeks (Mata is in all of them, a must have IMO). Van Persie is already there in my team so the question is should I keep him or have Walcott as Arsenal cover, given their great fixtures. Liverpool have very good fixtures after the United game and Suarez will come good I reckon. Ade is also tempting as he is the most likely lad to score for Spurs.

I get your point though...but what attacking covers would you pick then? I already have Rooney...keeping away from City strikers because of risk rotation and have Silva as my City coverage.

I have Suarez from day 1 and the reason he hasnt scored many is because of Dalglish. Kuyt and Suarez is not working. Just put Carroll on with Suarez and his presence will present more chances.

He has averaged a goal every two games. We have been spoiled by the mega-hauls of Rooney, Aguero and Dzeko, but long term, one goal in two is a very healthy return for any EPL striker, especially one at only 9.5

Know what you mean. When I heard he was signing for City last year, I was expecting him to be top point scoring full back. With his corners, free kicks, CS and many crosses.

    my team for this week:

    howard
    warnock, brown, kompany
    walcott, SWP, brunt, silva
    rooney, RVP, adebayor

    bench: ruddy, dyer, simpson, caulker
