Patience, the antithesis of our oft-used phrase ‘knee jerk’ is the theme that runs through our latest Podcast episode.

Mark is adamant that he’s set to stand by his men, despite paltry returns thus far. Having missed out on the Wayne Rooney hat-tricks though, can he really afford to risk another avalanche?

Also in discussion this week – dubious pinball assists and Dzeko rotation pains, all blended with the usual mix of moans, speculative opinions and random musings that make up the regular ScoutCast offering.

Have you got money in the bank? Because Fletch has dropped this morning. Just thought I'd mention it in case you got all excited about it and then went onto the FPL site and discovered you can't do it after all... If you can still afford it it's not a bad move in my opinion.

    hi

RVP is top captain poll again.. I heard something about less pressure to play away from home but I'm not so buying to this reason for expecting him a good performance.

Would some expert share any good reasons to captain him in away game to Blackburn?

RVP has always had a good goalscoring record-hence his 12 mill pricetag.
He's on set plays too and has been in reasonable form outside of PL.
I'd stay clear until ARS show some form.

Because young Theo is going to turn Michel Salgado into fruit salad and RVP will score a hat trick of penalties?

The only good reason I can think of is that if you are in a league which values the person who can make the most incorrect captain choices in a season.

I'm with Jafa ons this one. It's time for BB to pull there season together and they have often made their homeground a bit of a fortress.

Dann in defence with Samba and Robbo might just make it very difficult for Arsenal.

I can see RVP getting a low score again.

So why do I have Wally?

      😕

Not keen on having 4.5 player doing nothing and burning a hole in your team.
Why not downdgrade one of your exp defenders to free up the cash? There are plenty of 4.0/4.5s to put in your team around one exp defender.
      Otherwise, nice team.

but dyer is pretty ok and has nice fixtures too.. no one else below 9 million seems to be a 4 point a game player yet.. might as well play a strong startin 11 rotatin moses and dyer.. have a lot of faith in moses and he has a good run in 3 weeks.. and dyer has a good run now

I'd say do it. I'm probably doing the same trade myself this week. In the long run I think Dyer and either of Kompany/Bosingwa will outscore [any 4m defender] and Brunt. And it frees up the cash to get in Mata, who will be essential I feel.

I don't see the problem with Dyer, he rotates well with Moses and can cause a bit of trouble - he's actually done better then Sessenson/Moses etc already and Swansea haven't even scored!

OOP? Is he up front is he? He'll be starting for me this week. I'm pretty lightweigh in the middle at the mo. Arteta-SWP-Dyer-Dempsey. Was hoping Dempsey wouldn't bloody drop, taking him out next week for Nasri. Arteta will start to click soon tho, can see him being a season Keeper. Lets hope SWP carries on where he left off. QPR good fixtures too.

from what i've seen dyer gets up and down the wing a lot, not really a front three, the full backs are often further up the pitch. Unlike sinclair who does play like a wide forward.

indeed, can't go wrong for 4.5. A few bonus and the odd assist. Just wanted to clarify he's not oop & doesn't get amongst the goals/assists much. Neil taylor & rangel should get more points imo.

its more to do with villas playing style than nzog as a player - he was much better suited at wigan where he was the main man as they were a more attacking side than villa who are quite defensive. nzog wont be as prolific as at wigan

Its early days, facer, and lots of players haven't even used their first wildcard yet.

Other than Rooney and hitting it lucky with the right Man City striker and midfield combo in the right week not many other FPL players have done much so far anyway.

DGW's, injuries and people knee jerking with their wildcards before a clear pattern emerged will separate dgw wheat from the chaff, so to speak.

Like the title of this weeks podcast says, be patient.

Rooney may score. But he won't go mad. I think ferguson will know he'll be a target and draw him deep to free hernandez up front. A clean sheet for ward and maybe a goal would get him good points, either one would be comfortable.

any of your midfield/forwards are viable captain options ahead of ward, imo

its a big gamble but could work out for you, but I've been burnt captaining defenders in the past, so as a rule never do now

I don't think it's much of a risk. All the big hitters will struggle this week imo. 1 goal max, which is worth a risk on an oop defender with a strong back-line, at home, and against a newly promoted team.

Haven't made a transfer this week, have £600k in the bank but am contemplating :

    1) Bosingwa > £4.5m def (worried with Luiz's goal scoring return Ivanovich goes back to RB)
    2) Walcott > Mata
    3) Suarez > Adebayor (other fwd's are Long and Dzeko)

Do I go for one of the above or wait until next week to make a dbl transfer?

I'd have Jarvis in over Sess, I'd also look to get some Villa coverage; Bent, Warnock, Given as all have a decent run of fixtures. You could free up some funds by getting rid of Moses as he's been poor and bringing in Dyer who look pretty handy.

Wild card Help(Above). I wouldn't be worried about Bosingwa losing his place. He's playing well and is there best attacking right full.
Also, I think Bosingwa came to Chelsea from Porto and AVB was probably there in some managerial role so he probably loves him.

I think Bos is OK too, but for this type of game you need a solid defender imo and Bos ain't it, I would expect AVB to know it too. Long term Bos is fine I would bench for this week if you have a fair alternative.
