Today’s early kick-off sees Man City looking to get back to winning ways after throwing away a two-goal lead at Craven Cottage last week.

As Everton roll up to the Etihad Stadium looking to extend their five game unbeaten run, the lineups are out and it’s good news for owners of Sergio Aguero and Edin Dzeko- both were rested in the midweek Carling Cup clash with Birmingham and return to the starting XI as City look to for the three points that will take them back to the top of the table before Man United take on Stoke this evening.

The sides in full are:

Man City XI: Hart, Richards, Kompany, Lescott, Clichy, Y Toure, Barry, Silva, Nasri, Aguero, Dzeko

Everton XI: Howard, Hibbert, Jagielka, Distin, Baines, Coleman, Fellaini, Rodwell, Neville, Osman, Cahill

      Maybe. Off form today.
      I wouldn't be surprised to see him and Aguero starting in midweek as they both came off early. A second duff game though and he may be dropped for Balotelli/Tevez for next week.

    I had a feeling Rooney wouldn't play today given the rumours and words on Twitter, had considered removing him but could only think of Torres (dismissed it straight after) or Adebayor. I think him not playing today will just affect everyone in the same way because many people have him.

    Only player I really wanted in this week was Mata but he didn't manage to play 60 mins, picked up a yellow and only got an assist.

    Finally my luck has changed with a Suarez goal and RvP(c)!

    I thought about doing Rooney to Hernandez but decided just to stick as so many have Rooney, everyone would have the same issue. Will be interesting to see how United do without him and what is the issue with him, I'm sure everyone will be looking at their United coverage with the Norwich(H) coming up.

      I think he has a hamstring injury. I have very little reason to watch this game now. Unless Jonny Evans plays and they get a cleansheet. Might just go back to bed. So pissed Rooney isn't playing
