England desperately trying to make a game of this....
Open ControlsSOM, here comes your girlfriend.
Open ControlsBest midfield option for 7.4mil??
Open ControlsOr Ramsey
Open ControlsRamires.
Open ControlsRight so i posted this comment at 8:39 and the one above at 8:38 even though i posted this one first. Just call me Dynamo 😉
Open ControlsIt's bloody annoying. Especially on a Saturday afternoon.

Sky always stop replays of sixes just before the ball lands and only show it around the third replay, having presumably checked first that nobody got their face smashed? 😀Open Controlsis it worth holding on before making changes due to potential injuries in the champs league or do i get rid of torres and walcott now and hope everyone comes through unscathed midweek ?
Open ControlsQuite like the look of that Bannan fella, he played well against us last week and seeing penalties added to his potential he could be a good FPL pick at 5.0.
Think I might bring him in for Brunt and use the saving to upgrade De LaetOpen ControlsLike the look of that Tiote fella. 😉
Open Controls🙂
Ha, did you keep him then?Open ControlsYesssiree Bob. Another assist poss BP, seems to be playing well forward from what I saw.
Open ControlsI didn't see the match, only the highlights but I'd be really suprised if he was used in any role other than midfield enforcer.
Have to state the obvious though, if he is doing well for ya in FPL keep him in! 🙂Open ControlsAt 4.5 as easy bench as well, Damn sight better option than Ferguson imo.
Open Controls
Attila, what's your take on Ben Arfa?
Is he only going to be used in the hole?
And if so does that mean he'll have to wait a while as Best-Ba are in situ and doing well?Open Controlshttp://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fsQ1OD55HTw
Pardew has said that he prefers him in a central role. So yeah he'll have to be patient while Ba and Best are doing well, it wont be long before he comes in though.
Here is the relevant article
http://www.skysports.com/story/0,,11678_7195439,00.htmlOpen ControlsHe's also said he's the key to the teams future though... Get him in the team Pardew!
Open ControlsHe will pretty soon.
Open ControlsI'm starting him next week, he'll be chomping at the bit to play. I'm also finding myself liking the toon more and more lately. Must be the lack of Joseph Barton.
Open ControlsAP, still stalking you here dude, Wellbeck next week, what do you think are the chances he'll start ?
Open ControlsWe're a likeable lot. A little less like a Gypsy King XI* this season too.
*No offence to tinkers (not that I imagine many of them being on here) but Carroll, Jonas, Nolan, Barton etc gave the team a look of SnatchOpen Controlshmm, seems like a good idea to hold back on any transfers for now then. thanks yet again. I'll need to send you my membership application and completed direct debit mandate 😛
Open Controls
Thanks.
I've taken an early gamble on him, which has also conveniently allowed me to have Nani in for next week.
Question is, do I start him as one of my four midfielders as he could be minute-limited?Open Controls
alritey attila, bannan was class for scotland in their last game. Good little player. can pick a great pass.
Open ControlsGood stuff.
Having a good FPL week?Open Controlsi done ok this week i think, 51 with bp's hopefully to come, considering i gave nando the armband before RVP its not too bad, not sure if that question was for me or not Attila but there you go .
Open Controls
Yep i think he's a great pick. But will he still get playing once Bent and even Heskey are back?
Open ControlsDunno, he's been good the last two matches though so surely should be relatively safe eh?
Open ControlsI posed the same question to my mate at work who's a villa fan and he seemed surprised he was getting a game before albrighton. if he keeps playing well surely he'll keep his place

Is everyone getting rid of rooney?
Open ControlsLooks like it. Rested against Norwich and then two difficult fixtures.
Open ControlsNo not till I know better, it is easy enough to go roo>RVP/Aguero sat morning @ 11.25, Imo he might play 60 mins then off,Tbh utd struggled without him at Stoke so Fergie will want him back regardless of Eng.Hes a season keeper and people might regret dumping him, Ok you might loose a few points, Bench him and reap the rewards, Marathon not a sprint kinda thing!
Open ControlsThink im gonna hold onto him..
Open Controls
Will Murphy pick up some bonus points in anyone's opinion?
Open ControlsThey seem to think so in the article, and I certainly hope so. 😉

LOOL Torres Is Still The Biggest JokeOpen ControlsGiven Vorm
DeLaet Figueroa Simpson Kompany Wilkinson
Mata Moses Arteta Silva Dyer
Gervinho Aguero Rooney
Thoughts? Got 1 transfer. 0 in the bank.
I'm thinking of getting rid of Rooney or Figueroa or Wilkinson.
Rooney for suarez I think. If Figueroa then for Brown. Who should I take if I get rid of Wilkinson?Open ControlsAnyone using their wildcard this week?
Open ControlsDoubt if many who know much will, the week before internationals? Things would have to be desperate and then I still wouldn't do it.
Open ControlsMust ... resist ... have ... to ... wait ... until ... int'l ... break ...
The lure is so strong. Can't wait to use it so it won't be an option until January.Open ControlsThanks. It's my applebonkers-esque upgrade. No one's said anything up until now. Gutted. 🙂
With my grade-school tekkers, it took almost a half-hour to 'paint'Open Controls
Thoughts on:
OUT: Nasri, Arteta, Dzeko, Rooney
IN: Silva, Nani, Aguero, Agbonlahor +0.3 in bank
-8 points
??????????Open Controlsdone!
OUT:dzeko and nasri
IN: agbonlahor and silva
got 1.3 in bank for rises/falls to get in aguero and nani if rooney isnt fitOpen Controls
Jaysus, Melanie not Stephanie, potato potato. She got through anyway (y)
Open ControlsTaarabt. Great player coming up from the Championship and yadayada.. Im thinking Taarabt to Modric for the next 4 - 5 GWs?
Any shouts as to why I souldnt?Open ControlsI would do it mid October QPRs fixtures get tough Spurs get a lot easier, how's that?
Open Controls
i for one have a pretty good week. 61 points with brown to play 🙂
Open ControlsNzog's dramatic decline is akin to that of Rooney and Torres.
Open ControlsHaha.

Fantasy CL news from the Bundesliga:
Bayern Munich comfortably beat a woefully unimaginative Bayer 04 Leverkusen 3-0 at the weekend. After five weeks out, Arjen Robben was fit enough to come on as a substitute for the last quarter of an hour and scored, but complained of stiff muscles afterwards. Don’t think he’ll start against Man City, but he could be on the bench.
Daniel van Buyten and Mario Gómez played from the beginning for Bayern. With the game already won, Gómez was taken off after an hour to rest him for the Man City match. Defender Breno definitely won’t play after being arrested by Munich police on suspicion of burning down his own luxury villa. Very strange.
In their defence, Leverkusen are currently hit by a number of injuries. Absent at the weekend were Michael Ballack (flu virus), Schwaab (knee) and Schürrle (suspended). Lone stiker this time was the ever-clueless Stefan Kießling in place of Eren Derdiyok. Somewhat surprisingly, Bayer coach Robin Dutt also gave 17-year-old right-back Danny da Costa his debut, and unsurprisingly, the very in-form Franck Ribéry ran rings around him and da Costa was subbed off after 64 minutes. Can’t imagine that he will be risked by Leverkusen in the Champions League.
Borussia Dortmund, who deservedly won 2-1 in Mainz, replaced the injured Schmelzer at left-back with Chris Löwe. To the relief of their fans, they also started with Ivan Perišić in left midfield instead of the willing but technically limited Kevin Großkreutz. Perišić duly scored again and is on form, but Dortmund once again missed a hatful of chances and look weak in front of goal. Fortunately their key striker, the Paraguayan Lucas Barrios came on for the last 15 minutes after a lengthy injury break caused by a thigh strain picked up at the Copa America. Again, how long Borussia risk Barrios for in the Champions League is unclear.
FC Basel news also available, if anyone wants it.Open ControlsSomeone's applying for Scout-team membership 😉
Seriously though - I like these. Thanks & Cheers.Open ControlsYou're a bit of a hero PB, are you German/Austrian/Swiss?
Yeah FC Basel, when is Shaqiri's suspension up, and how's he playing?Open ControlsAlthough Basel beat newly-promoted Lausanne 6-0 in midweek, with the same defence as in the first Champions League match (Steinhöfer - Abraham - Dragovic - Park), I don't see them causing Man Utd many problems. Although keeper Sommer and left-back Park look strong, Steinhöfer is the weak link at right-back (poor distribution, far too attacking) and whoever plays left-wing for United should fill their boots in midweek.
In midfield for the Bebbi, Shaqiri is suspended for the Man Utd match, as is Benjamin Huggel who was sent off against Galati on the first matchday. This is leaves them with a problem - their defensive midfielders aren't up to it: the suspended Huggel is too slow and although Cabral can tackle, he gives the ball away with monotonous regularity.
Without Shaqiri and the injured Valentin Stocker, Basel although don't offer enough of a cutting edge on the wings - Granit Xhaka visibly doesn't like playing on the left, and Fabian Frei is talented, but too inexperienced on the right. Huggel's suspension might be a blessing in disguise, allowing Xhaka to move into the centre.
Although Alex Frei is their most well-known striker, he's a bit of a flat-track bully. I was quietly impressed instead by his fellow striker Marco Streller against Galati - he sent over a great curling cross for the first goal and cannily induced the foul for the penalty that won the match for Basel.
In short, FC Basel are weaker than in their last Champions League campaign, but mentally tougher. They didn't play well against Galati, but Streller and Alex Frei had enough nous to get them to beat their more technically gifted opponents.
Anyway, here's footage of their 6-0 victory over Lausanne.

I finally get Rooney in and he doesn't play
Open ControlsEvening all - just wondered what everyone's doing with Rooney?
Open ControlsI'm keeping him, Coleen is watching Beyonce 2 with him and SAF is telling lies about him..
Open Controls
Wow, (late I know, and also a rumour) I've only just got back from work and I've just read United, City and Chelsea are planning to bid £30mil for Barkley.
....Really? He's only really played this season, and yes, even though he is impressive, is he really worth the extra £3.5 mil that United paid for Rooney?
Potentially, maybe around £10-£15 mil. At the moment, maybe around £5.
Anyone else's thoughts?Open ControlsAt the moment, maybe around £5.
Never seen him play, but I think that's probably a little harsh on the lad. 😉Open ControlsNot to be a needy pest, but did you perchance see this?
http://www.fantasyfootballscout.co.uk/2011/09/25/scout-notes-gameweek-six-saturday/comment-page-2/#comment-2053967Open Controls
Nonsense. The media are trying to build him up into Rooney MkII. Reality is he's played 1 good 90mins and not a lot else. He probably will go onto be a quality player but £30m talk already is laughable.
Open ControlsHe's young and English hence £££££
Price is not a guarantee of quality and hasn't been for years.Open Controls- Open Controls
Haha. Like it.
Open Controls
I saw him live in a friendly the weekend the season started, I was so impressed I put him in my fpl team that night despite him never playing a competitive match. True story, the kid could be seriously good.
Open Controls
Looking for possible replacements should Walters let me down. Would Danny Murphy be a shrewd move or chasing points?
Open ControlsWhats the use of keeping ''the wildcard''?
Anyhow u get one in january?i took it reaped the benefits n my friends continuosly week after week do 2 transfers with a -4 hit...didnt understand their fantasy for saving wildcards?Open ControlsFinal furlong boost. Thats what i use my saved wc for, if I'm leading a league I'll just activate it and copy rivals teams, or if I'm behind I'll pack it full of differentials.

*on this site.
was happy reading what sounded like an interesting article then getting on with my day until i saw the following line:
He was at fault for Stoke’s equaliser but that is the only blemish on his so-far near-perfect start to his United career.
the rvp goal? most of the chelsea game (torres and ramires' finishing saved his bacon a lot) and de gea having the most saves in the league.
luckily:
he's only 19, 19!
chelsea was a one off game and they're a good side and historically at least torres a top striker who has skinned many a top defender in his time.
the rvp goal was when man utd were something silly like 6-1 up. you can forgive him a lapse in concentration there.Open ControlsHis defending has been pretty poor apart from the odd mega tackle. Why he's getting hero status from Utd fans is his all action attitude and the fact he goes on ludicrous, marauding forward runs at any possible opportunity. Lovely stuff. Harsh to criticise his defending though because he's not in a settled position or team yet.
Open Controlsalso on paper at least man utd have played a lot of good sides so far, it’s easy to forget that with the near perfect start they’ve had points wise. you could also argue they’ve left themselves stretched with such rampant attacking football.
i can see why man utd fans love him, he’s like action man in shorts 😉 i love him too, it’s just the chelsea game seemed a healthy wake up call to perhaps ease the hype, healthy in that his previously wagging tail was put between his legs which should do him good long term.
finally as an englishman his arrival is very timely with rio and terry slowly waningOpen Controls
AB's room is covered in pictures of SuBo and Gary Cahill. I'd be willing to wager large sums of cash on it.
Open Controlsamazed it got 5 thumbs up. going on a man utd fansite and saying that was asking for trouble if taken the wrong way. hopefully the readers are as objective as the site, one of the better, more balanced fansites imo
Open ControlsWhen I was it earlier it was 2 up 5 down, not it's 6 up 5 down!
Open Controls
Good to see applebonkers has already been on there debunking all that nonsense.

Will Drogba start this week for Chelsea? Thinking of taking a one week punt on the Drogs for RVP as i think Drogba has the easier match.
Open ControlsThinkin of torres>Drog myself, but that's forced. Not sure I'd be waisting a transfer to get drog in for one week. Don't suppose torres' price will be protected for his suspension? Clutching....
Open Controlsnot showing as protected on total fpl
Open Controls
Good punt yes, but have a very good feeling about van persie against tottenham next week, might be worth leaving him in?
and when i get that feeling.....lol 🙂Open Controls
