All is forgiven after Edin Dzeko apologises to Roberto Mancini following his Tuesday strop in Munich. Charles N’Zogbia reveals his left wing frustration, while Kenny Dalglish is cautious on the fitness of his skipper with Everton in mind. Elsewhere, Stoke, Spurs and Fulham all grabbed wins in Europe for a good side for the Premier League in last night’s Europa League group matches:

Edin Dzeko has been forgiven by Roberto Mancini after his touchline tantrum in the Allianz Arena. The Carlos Tevez saga has undoubtedly overshadowed the Bosnian’s own show of petulance, with the City boss claiming post-match that Dzeko would be benched for this weekend’s trip to Blackburn. Dzeko has since apologised for the incident but whether he will stay in the starting lineup perhaps remains doubtful for this game- Mancini may want to take a strong stance over this and starting Dzeko could be perceived as backing down.

Harry Redknapp gave run outs to the likes of Jermain Defoe and Roman Pavlyuchenko and both were amongst the goals in Spurs’ 3-1 Europa League win over Shamrock Rovers last night. Aaron Lennon was also included but was subbed off at half time after his ongoing groin problem flared up and the winger will be assessed today ahead of Sunday’s game with Arsenal.

With Bobby Zamora and Moussa Dembele both left behind in London, Andrew Johnson made his mark as Fulham won 2-0 in Odense. Johnson has now scored six goals in nine Europa League appearances and Martin Jol admitted the forward may feature in his thinking for the weekend home game with QPR.

He hasn’t done it in the league but sometimes you have to give him the opportunities too. I’m 100% certain that if I start Andy he won’t let anyone down.

Tony Pulis fielded a near-full strength team for Stoke’s 2-1 home win over Besiktas. The Stoke boss saw Peter Crouch grab a goal for the second home game in a row and was full of praise for the former Spurs striker post-match:

His contribution to the cause so far has been fantastic. Apart from his influence up front, a major part of his game was the way he defended set plays. The crowd like him and will enjoy him. He never stopped working. His attitude was fantastic.

Kenny Dalglish has hinted he’s quite happy to continue easing Steven Gerrard back into match action. With the small matter of a game against Everton next up on the agenda tomorrow, Dalglish is determined not to be swayed by sentiment, with his skipper likely to make do with a place on the bench:

The Merseyside derby isn’t the most important thing – Steven Gerrard is. We will manage him as best we can, and that has always been our attitude.

Charles N’Zogbia has been speaking of his poor start to the season at Aston Villa. The winger-so often a strong Fantasy prospect over the last couple of season- reckons he’s being played in the wrong position by new boss Alex McLeish:

The last two seasons for me were great. I was playing on the right side, where I’m really confident, but now I’m playing more on the left. If you want to get the most of me, I can do more from the right. I can kill any left-back.

But I have to accept what the manager wants from me and do my best. I can be an exciting player – if you play me in the right position.

One week gamble on Hernandez: Done. Took out RvP as I think Arsenal won't score with King, Parker and Sandro all playing for Spurs. Come on little pea hat-trick 😈

It's a bit convoluted but this is my understanding:

It's for Murphy. The murphy bandwagon was called the murphboard, which is a reference to a surfboard. Surfing is in Hawaii 5-0 which has a Klaxon sound at the start of the theme.

Knew Rooney would end up fit to play, Fergie has done this kind of thing before. Didn't have him anyway but my plan was always to get him in for this game, with RVP making way. Main reason is that everyone in my league has him, and the potential for a large haul is overwhelming.

It would cost me 4 points to do (already done Dzeko to Adebayor). Is it worth it? I realise RVP's upcoming fixtures are more tasty but, then, Rooney is supposedly 'fixtureproof'.

    I'd appreciate any opinions!

Keep RVP. You need to hope that RVP, with his kind fixtures, can outscore Rooney in the next few weeks. By doing this your differential in RVP will actually allow you to catch up faster. That is, IF he can outscore Rooney in the next few weeks

    Captain choice:

Aguero, vs Blackburn, and potentially lone striker to take all the glory himself

    OR

Rooney, vs Norwich, potentally destroy them within 60 minutes, but could be taken off or even introduced as a late substitute from the bench if Utd are struggling to break them down

Lol i just fancy rooney to not play the whole game and spurs arsenal to be a goalfest. Adebayor and rvp will smash it up.

Also fancy aguero to tear blackburn a new one.

I know the news but what do we think? Will Dzeko and Walcott start?

I believe that Walcott more likely, but Dzeko set for a bench role?

After Balo scoring last week and Dzeko being petulant I'd be pretty surprised if Dzeko started. After the Tevez thing Mancini could do with putting his foot down a bit and keeping Balo sweet - Starting Balo and benching Dzeko would acheive both those things.

Can't completely rule anything out though, I woudln;t be too shocked to see Silva playing behind Aguero and then Milner in as well, or something similar.

I was thinking of the following -4 pointer

    Baines -> Bosingwa
    Long -> Adebayor

However that leaves me with the forwards Ade/Aguero/Dzeko and now I'm concerned that Dzeko might not start.

Would Dzeko -> Ade be more sensible?

Second one it is yeah, but sooner or later, u'll need to downgrade Baines for a hit.

Just not feeling it and I've already got RVP and Rooney up front.

Is Rooney really worth the gamble or should Aguero come in? I've got Young as back up.

    Arteta > Murphy
    Dzeko > Aguero

Worth a 4 point hit, leaves me with no Arsenal coverage. I originally wanted to do Arteta to Ramsey but i'm 0.2 short 🙁

Team for this week is :

    Given

    Simpson, Kompany, Bosingwa,
    Silva, Nani, + 2
    Aguero, Rooney ,Sturridge(C)

    Subs: Vorm, Monk, Caulker

Need to decide on two from Walters, Watson, Ben Arfa leaning towards Ben Arfa And Walters. I know with Ben Arfa there is a risk of him not starting but I have a feeling if he does he could scor well against a weak Wolves midfield.

    Opinions Please

      go with walters and watson
ben arfa only came on as a sub last week(on his way back from injury),i think its unlikely that pardew will change his starting 11 just yet to play him, especially as newcastly are doing well at the moment

Basically said the sooner Tevez left the country the better and he's probably eye up his next move and it won't be long before he's kissing the badge of another team 🙂
