Okay…you might have noticed – things have changed around here.

After months and months of time, money, sweat and tears – we thought we’d roll out the new layout just to see if things held together. It’s a gamble – it may disappear before your very eyes and revert back to the old Scout. Then again, it might be here to stay.

We hope that all goes smoothly – the that the new layout settles on our servers and will provide the basis for a new era for the site. Let’s see how we go.

There is more to do (we know the Watchlist is incomplete and the poll is old). More features to roll out – particularly within the comments code. For now, we’re taking baby steps – although this is a pretty big first stride.

So then, if you stayed with us long enough to reach this ungodly hour, you get to the see the new look on the live servers – a proper first.

We hope you like.

Ps: apologies for any lost comments from the last couple of hours – needs must I’m afraid.

Mark Mark created the beast. He's now looking to tame it.

Please be careful with the images you are sourcing. I can see you've taken very pro' looking ones. They are big business, companies like Getty make their money from such imagery and you don't want to be caught using copyrighted images.

Indeed...I'm glad you asked this. We have paid out for a DataCo licence (which you need to use any images from Premier League grounds - including ones you take yourself) and then paid out for a full licence with Action images. We have to do things the right way - it's not cheap but it's the only way we can build on what we've got.

What do you guys think? Want to downgrade Young and upgrade my defence. Already have Nani, Silva, Petrov and Dyer.

    Young > VDV
    Young > Nasri
    Young > Mata

    OR

    Young > Ramsey
    Young > Anderson

The latter will give me more funds, of course, to upgrade my cheapo D. Will they be consistent enough scorers? And who would you pick from the two options?

Currently thinking VDV which will mean I can upgrade one of my 4.0 defenders to 4.5...

Fixture wise, VDV Mata and Ramsey are your choices which the latter less favourite.

Probably choose one that you don't have coverage in your FW line.

VDV is the better option out of all of them, he seems to be scoring or getting some good points each week!! You could always upgrade that defender to someone like Woodgate who is 4.5 and has some strong games at home.

Bolton certainly need to start picking up points. Just hope the heavy defeats have not affected confidence too much. They are really missing Lee and Holden who were their two best midfielders last season. They will be reliant on Klasnic, Ngog and Davies scoring the goals to keep them up. I can help thinking that Petrov is the best bet for a Bolton player though.

Think Sturridge will play bulk of the premierleague games. Of course he is going to miss the odd one here and there, but so might Torres and Mata. At 6.5 for a Chelsea Fwd that scores goals he is a bargain and I am getting him in this week. But the question is who for???

At the moment my strikeforce is Rooney, Aguero, RVP. Which one do I take out. I am tempted by takign out Aguero and then I can upgrade a mid to Silva...

Yeah, i liked Toseys tactics last year, I think tripling on stoke is a good shout, but I agree with you Blackburn are conceeding too much at the back, i might look and doubling on QPR in stead then, i think they rotate well.

Have a look at Stoke & Wolves, KOL. I doubled on those defences when I used my WC week 4. Admittedly, Wolves have been a bit pants defensively in the last few games, but I'd fancy them to keep more clean sheets than QPR or Balckburn. Rotates real nice too.

Never really taken to shearer, but when it comes to management he really annoys me.

    http://www.skysports.com/story/0,,11095_7222787,00.html

He got the newcastle job purely on the merits of being a newcastle "legend" and failed miserably.

If he wants the England job why doesn't he get a job at a league 2 side and work his way up learning on the way. Instead he sits on a bbc couch spouting the bleed'in obvious and cricising other manager's tactics!

Rant over - like the new site!

17.5mil to spend on any midfield and striker combination excluding Rooney, Adebayor, Mata and Silva. Who do you get?

Taht's good news if true. Now the FA need to suspend and demote Atkinson for that pathetic call and performance.

My virgin post about my team on the new site.. 😛

    Ruddy
    Shawcross. Bos. Kompany.
    Ramsey. Silva. Nani. Taarabt.
    Rooney. Agbonlahor. Aguero.

    (Vorm. Dyer. Simpson. DeLaet)

    Questions.

    1. Play Agbonlahor away to Kompany or not?
    2. If 1.is a No. then Dyer or Simpson in

no matter how tough the city defense is, i think u have to look at agbon's form and go with him.

I'd be playing Agbonlahor ... I quite like having strikers vs defenders in my team - points either way

This year it's all about the player and not about their fixture, Agbonlahor is completely in form and will be ripping up the defence like anything.

What's the current thinking on Sturridge? Is he now a sure starter - even when Torres is back from suspension?

thinking of brining him for the next 2 weeks. without torres, i think he'll start for sure starter but he'll become a serious rotation risk after torres' return imo

The general feeling seems to be that he is safe, particularly after this weekend's performance. Looks cracking value and bound to appreciate in price over the coming weeks.

I have Agbonglahor as my cheapie but am considering going with two cheapies and 4 big hitting midfielders.

He seems to have played almost every game he was available for so I would say he is a sure starter 'til he plays himself out of the team.

I wouldn't say he'll be a definite starter, but I think it will probably be Torres flanked by Mata on the left and Sturridge on the right, with competition from Anelka, Kalou and Mata if Malouda plays on the left.

I think he'll start more often than not. Was unlucky with suspension carry over from last season for first three games. Think AVB's preferred front three will be Mata Torres Sturridge when all are available.

Cheers all. Yeah i think he'll be a regular from now on too, with occasional rotation from Anelka on the right. Problem is how to fit him in. Adebayor is undroppable on current from and my other 2 strikers are/will be Rooney and Aguero. Hmmm. Rooney does have tricky fixtures but those are exactly the sort of games he won't be rested for, and, the sort of games he scores overhead kicks in. Then he has 3 months of incredible fixtures to follow.
