Okay…you might have noticed – things have changed around here.

After months and months of time, money, sweat and tears – we thought we’d roll out the new layout just to see if things held together. It’s a gamble – it may disappear before your very eyes and revert back to the old Scout. Then again, it might be here to stay.

We hope that all goes smoothly – the that the new layout settles on our servers and will provide the basis for a new era for the site. Let’s see how we go.

There is more to do (we know the Watchlist is incomplete and the poll is old). More features to roll out – particularly within the comments code. For now, we’re taking baby steps – although this is a pretty big first stride.

So then, if you stayed with us long enough to reach this ungodly hour, you get to the see the new look on the live servers – a proper first.

We hope you like.

Ps: apologies for any lost comments from the last couple of hours – needs must I’m afraid.

Mark Mark created the beast. He's now looking to tame it.

Really like it. I think it is a lot neater and easier to read, especially with regards to replies to comments.

Worth a hit to bring in Enrique? I'd bench Dyer to slot Ramsey in

    Ward > Enrique
    Taarabt > Ramsey

    Ruddy
    Ward Bosingwa Kompany
    Moses Nani Dyer Silva
    Rooney Suarez Adebayor

    Given Taarabt Simpson Brown

Enrique might not keep a CS against United. He's against Norwich after that, get him for that,

Originally my thought exactly, I could always just play Ward away at Brom and just bring in Ramsey on a freebie and then in GW9 bring Enrique in on a freebie

Not worth the hit, especially seeing though they have ManU next... just change Taarabt to Ramsey for next week, then after the ManU game get enrique in?

Enrique sounds fine after the match with United.

But think of it this way..

      Simpson vs Adebayor
      Brown vs Ramsey

Who you gonna field, Kompany, Bosingwa and.. ?

Did not watch the 6-0 drubbing but read in the player ratings that SWP was QPR's best player. Would you get rid of him with Blackburn at home this coming week? I wouldn't.

Definitely get rid week 9 though - the next 3 fixtures are horrendous for them - Chelsea, Tottenham, and Manchester City. 0 points.

1 game only though I agree. They looked super the previous 2-3 games. Arsenal also lost 8-2 a few weeks ago but that didn't stop Arteta / RVP / now Ramsey investment.

100% agree that SWP should go in Week 9 if you have him just don't know if it makes sense taking him out with Blackburn at home is all. If ANYONE has as worse morale / form as QPR right now it must be Blackburn...

If it's for a free transfer, I could hear the case for dropping him but surely there must be other areas of the squad worth strengthening. Blackburn at home, is on paper, one of SWP's best 3-4 fixtures of the entire season. In a 38 game season it doesn't get much better than that...

Hmm...I'd like to give SWP just one more match (BLA), after that I'm def getting rid.

Isn't Ramires a bit risky when it comes to regular game time?

    Vorm (Krul)
Bos ; Kompany ; Baines (Enrique; Brown)
Nani ; Murphy ; Brunt ; Jarvis (Dyer)
    Rooney ; Aguero ; Zamora

Do you think it's worth the 4 point hit by doing:
    Baines>Taylor(swansea)
    Jarvis>VDV

    ?

Yes. Long term that is very solid. Between Bos / Kompany / Enrique you have good exposure at the back and VDV is a massive upgrade over Jarvis, especially since he is out of the Europa League team and rounding into form.

10+ goals and 10+ assists for VDV as long as he stays fit. Can't go wrong there and should outscore all mids bar Silva/Nani/Young.

Couple questions, would really appreciate any response.

    1) How long do you think Rodallega will be out?

    2) Of the following players, how do you rate their chances of playing/scoring? (As a "Season keeper")

    A) Ba
    B) Ballotelli
    C) Sturridge
    D) Yakubu
    E) Andy Johnson
    F) Di Santo

    Open Controls
    1. Ibracadabra
      • 16 Years

      1) Not sure on Rodallega timetable but Wigan aren't scoring many goals so there are better options elsewhere.

      2) Think c) Sturridge is the best short term play as he is playing on the right side of a front three. Torres / Drogba will fight for the centre spot and Sturridge COULD face competition from Anelka but I think that spot is his. He's the best option, then. Obviously Ba and Best are in form for Newcastle so good options. Balotelli is a rotation threat - so it's a tough one. Yakubu is dirt cheap but plays for Blackburn so why not spring the extra 1M for Sturridge or 1.5M for Agbonlahor. Johnson is in superb form but will he hold down space with Ruiz, Zamora, Dembele, etc. all vying for starts? I've never rated Di Santo.

Sturridge for me. Plays in a team that will score a ton of goals and very cheap. Only Balotelli (if Dzeko and/or Aguero get injured long term) comes close for me...
