And we’re back in the game.

The Dugout Discussion kicks back into gear with seven Premier League fixtures spreading across a period of more than six hours. We start off slowly with a small tie up at Anfield between Liverpool and Manchester United…

There is a lot of news in the line-up front. Liverpool recall their captain -Steven Gerrard- to make his first start in over six months after recovery from injury as Andy Carroll drops out. The away side pose the real questions as Javier Hernandez, Nani and Wayne Rooney are left on the bench by Alex Ferguson in a bold/foolish (delete as appropriate after the game) move. Line-ups to be digested in full are…

Liverpool XI: Reina; Kelly, Carragher, Skrtel, Enrique; Lucas, Adam Gerrard, Downing, Kuyt; Suarez

United XI: De Gea; Smalling, Ferdinand, Evans, Evra; Young, Fletcher, Jones, Giggs, Park; Welbeck

Not long after the dust has settled on that almighty introduction we’ll have five three o’clock kick-offs to keep the flow going. Wigan host Bolton with the Scout Selection Committee keeping closes eyes on a certain Victor Moses.

A few more people will be distracted by the Man City line-up as they play host to Aston Villa while Norwich, QPR and Stoke play host to Swansea, Blackburn and Fulham respectively – varied squad “fillers” aplenty in those games to keep track of.

Before the night draws in the Dugout Discussion closes out with Chelsea playing host to an Everton side who have a strong record over recent seasons against their fellow side in blue. Can David Moyes keep up the good streak and spoil the Villas-Boas broth?

When I think about it – david moyes has to be one of the best managers in the world. Have you seen their squad? I know some of them seem like good players but even then moyes brought them for about 50p each.

Kompany is a season keeper. They had a fixture at home and Bent was offside. Should have been a CS. He's too expensive to bench imo.

wont be selling him as he will play 95% of gameweeks, easy to say afterwards as i said, when i asked the question yesterday about who to bench between gabby and kompany a lot of people said kompany, obviously 14 year olds on hear will say it was the wrong decision afterwards, i hear what you are saying though, it was a hard decision to make

benching kompany was senseless. Its got nothing to do with hindsight. It was a really bad call. He obviously had a better chance of a clean sheet than Jones.

what a load of crap, most things that seem obvious about football usually are not, if saf plays is best players which would have been seen as obvious without hindsight then liverpool would not have had half as much of the ball, and even without them it took a poorly taken free kick to score, senseless, the sense was i was playing gabby, which nearly paid off within the first 10 mins, if he takes that chance and i benched gabby, i would have lost a clean sheet and a goal plus bonus points, so as i said ur statement is a load of crap

Problem is the players around the 6.0 area are all frustrating. Walters is good for home games.

Sess and SWP are prob the most 'hot n cold' players in the league. Gotta bring in a consistent midfielder instead of gambling on them I reckon.
Less that 6.5 mill has to be
Walters - plays the front man and he's on pens
or Murphy - plays every week and also on pens.
Ramsey is the best alternative if you dont like those two...

Wow, if there was ever a game week for the casual player, this is it. City's 2nd stringers of Balo, Johnson and Milner all scoring, and Rooney and Silva both coming off the bench and getting 1 point each (I'd Captained Silva). My only shining lights are Kompany and Al Habsi, who's saved me by saving a penalty!

Hmm, anyone else think the penalty-saving scoring is wrong. Was feeling quite chuffed about picking Begovic ahead of Al Habsi in nets. Doubly so as Wigan got stuffed and Stoke a clean sheet, but then I come to the scores and find Habsi's on 8pts. Hmmm.

Bolton's fault for keep letting Davies take them.

Saving a pen for 5pts seems a bit too high, maybe 3 or 4pts should be about right.

You're right, I dont go every week, but I go more than you and I'll be at the Bridge when we play Arsenal and I'll watch us play Genk. How often do you go and watch a Prem game? Thought so.

Is it too much to ask that all of Sturridge's goals today be assisted by bosingwa?
