Back after our own international break, I bundle Mark into the studio for another podcast and slap him around the face with my Wildcard.

Rusty after a week of absence, we’re forced to get our tongues contorted around a variety of team names, even more baffling than Mark’s unshakable faith in Victor Moses. Yes, indeed, Wigan’s most unfortunate Fantasy flop gets another airing, with Mark mercilessly banishing the Latics to the Championship – surely the only solution to his blind spot.

Need some help with my team this week

I was thinking of doing the following:
Rooney, Dzeko and Aguerro --->> RVP, Sturridge and Suarez
    Also Jarvis ---> VDV

I got 2 free transfers this week and will take an 8pt hit with 0.3 in the bank

    is it worth it?

    thanks

I don't see the point in transferring out Rooney AND Aguero when a) There's no guarantee that the Manchester Derby will be 1-1 or 0-0. Could easily be 3-4. b) After this week, they're the odds on favorites to be the high scorers in the league the rest of the year.

If you are going through with a double, Dzeko and Rooney for Sturridge and Suarez imo. Maybe upgrade one of them to RVP after next week. Jarvis is at home to Swansea, no point taking a hit on him as for now.

thats true could be a high scoring game. Spurs and Liverpool got good fixtures for the next two weeks. I agree I have had them both for the past 7 weeks the man city rotation is annoying, i dont know about next week i think aguerro and dzeko will be benched since nov 2 it will be cl again. Planning on bringing them both back in GW11. True will keep Jarvis

Sounds reasonable, planning some City cover for GW11 myself, but dunno if the rotation risk before CL is too much of a gamble..

    Currently i’ve got no city attacking cover in my team, not too worried about that this week but next week think i’m gonna need some so basically my question is: which combination do people think is preferable;
Rooney and Silva or Aguero and Nani? I’m leaning towards the latter even though it would mean more a poiont hit in future weeks…

    Opinions would be appriciated!

They're both good options - I'd say Nani has the better track record, and Aguero is gonna be challenging for the golden boot, so the latter - having said this, the former are less subject to rotation I think.

Thinking of getting in Petrov for Brunt, is this a good move? Its either Brunt o Jarvis to go but Jarvis has Swansea & Wigan at home, 2 out the next 3

Or should I just keep Brunt for now. aaaaaaah

Hey fellas, anyone think this is worthwhile?
Young to VDV for a hit? yay! or neighhhhh!?

    Rest of my team:
    Krul (Vorm)
    Enrique/Warnock/Bosingwa/Simpson(NTaylor)
    Young/Silva/MPetrov (NDyer/DMurphy)
    Rooney/RVP(c)/Ade(vc)

Already taken a hit. Am chasing someone with Suarez too!

He could very well get subbed, but in all fairness its Norwich, and is a good platform for him to build on to get back to full fitness, Kenny needs him back to full fitness as soon as really and will build his confidence also for the full 90 mins run out, if he does get subbed it'll be around the mid 70 80th minute mark i reckon.

    Adebayor(v)-Agbonlahor-RvP(C)
    Vorm-Taarabt-Kompany-Dyer+0.8m

      1. Stay with this team and save the transfer.
      2. RvP and Taarabt --> Sturridge and VdV and a 4p hit
      3. Silva --> VdV (loose a lot of value)
      4. Nani --> VdV

I'm considering taking my first point hit of the season:

    Zamora >> Van Persie
    Arteta >> Walters
    Nani >> Eagles

That would give me a front line of Van Persies, Rooney, Saurez. But quite a weak midfield as you can imagine.

    Thoughts?

i dont think that is worth the hit imo. I would say just do the first one but assuming the funds wouldnt permit such a move. If i had Nani i wouldnt be getting rid as you will want him back in the near future. You could still go Arteta to Walters/Ramsey/Petrov/Cabaye and then depending on your funds upgrade Zamora. Sturridge a good budget option up front.

I've had RVP,Rooney and Adebayor for a few weeks now, and I dont recommend such an expensive strikeforce.. With the three you mention you'll only be able to have one, maximum two heavy-hitters in your midfield, with a crappy defensive line..

I'd stay put with Zamora for now, home to Everton isn't a bad fixture, and RVP is playing at the Bridge next week. Arteta to Walters shouldn't be an option before next week, and Nani will do some damage vs Clichy me thinks

Hey guys, who would you choose for the 3rd def:

    1 - Kompany @ Man u. I think is the worst option

2 - Shawx @ Ars. Bad option, but if the def works fine and Arsenal keeps playing bad, a 0 - 0 could be not too crazy. Besides Ive got RVP and Ramsey, so if Stoke looses, i still do ok (hoping those gunners will make some points)

3 - S. Taylor @ Wolves - Wolves have lost with tott, New and QPR playing at home...

    What do you think??

Not sure who to get in this week for Barton, don´t want to go over 6.5mil:

    A:Sinclair
    B:Ramsey
    C:Petrov
    D:Walters

    Or anyone else?

    Team as of now:

    Krul (Vorm)
    Bosingwa/Simpson/Enrique (Woodgate/De Laet)
    Mata/Silva/Nani/Barton (Moses)
    Suarez/RVP/Best

    Leaning towards Ramsey..

B: Ramsey. Have either the assist or the goal in 40% of all Arsenal goals when he is on the pitch. 6,5m is a bargain.

You have RVP, so Ramsey isn't as attractive as he would be otherwise, i'd go for Walters or Sinclair. Although it's a difficult decision to make.. I'm thinking about the same options, Gutierrez probably isn't a great idea as you have two NEW already, tough choice.
Pilkington is a cheap option if you want to upgrade elsewhere.

On second thoughts i'm leaning towards Ramsey too 😛

Thanks, I actually already have 3 newcastle already (Krul Simpson Best) so Gutierrez is out for me. I already have moses who at the moment is basically just a cheap bencher so not to keen to get another 5mil in.

I was thinking about Walters as he seems to be on pens and playing up front every now and then, will prob end up with Ramsey though I think

I wouldn't drop SIlva or Nani, they can both overcome a little bit of rotation and one game against each other. Personally I'd leave your strikers and not bother bringing VdV in just yet til he's firing on all cylinders, unless you have complete confidence that he's about to start doing it.

Might want to ship Taarabt out before he drops though, unless you don't mind the 0.1 mil loss in exchange for a free double transfer next week?

man city have some nice fixtures after this weekend so dont get rid of silva, may be a rotation risk with him for champions league but he is their key player, united look good for fixtures after everton game so to get rid of nani for van ver vaart you would need to get nani in again, personally i dont think arsenal will do aa lot against stoke(always a tough fixture despite both teams european exploits)and i think your best change option is RVP and taarbat option 2 ,this should give you good coverage.chelsea are home to arsenal after QPR and spurs have a nice run at the moment
