Back after our own international break, I bundle Mark into the studio for another podcast and slap him around the face with my Wildcard.

Rusty after a week of absence, we’re forced to get our tongues contorted around a variety of team names, even more baffling than Mark’s unshakable faith in Victor Moses. Yes, indeed, Wigan’s most unfortunate Fantasy flop gets another airing, with Mark mercilessly banishing the Latics to the Championship – surely the only solution to his blind spot.

    Krul
    Enrique Bosingwa Ward
    Petrov Cabaye Brunt Mata
    Suarez RvP Rooney

    Pretty good? (apart from Brunt)

I'm still not overly sold on Cabaye or Petrov, Brunt is picking up though and Mata is Mr.Consistent. Great front 3 and some CS opportunities all with attacking potential too! Nice team.

Because you're being drawn to the club over the player.

Arteta -> Ramsey - nice sideways move that frees up cash if you're looking for alternatives.

He's not the same player, not playing in the same position, not in the same role, not on free-kicks etc.

It was pretty much my exact concern with N'Zogbia at the beginning of the season (that I stupidly ignored due to much readings on the web that suggested him as a bargain).

Good player at a small club >> good player at a big club (N'Zogbia, Arteta, Downing, Carroll)
Quality player at big club >> quality player at small club (Valencia, Young, Nasri)
          If that makes sense.

Downing = 0 assists/goals so far for Pool.

My analysis was more on a fantasy return perspective. Arteta is going to do well, and play well for Arsenal, but I don't think he'll be the one to play the killer ball or be on the end of the move.

I am a man united fan, that 8-2 score line even made me feel sad for the Arsenal, the gunners need to do better, at least they stringing a few good results together now. Rvp leading the line. Good luck

    Current team:

    Schwarzer
    STaylor, Ward, Bosingwa
    Nani, Ramsey, Petrov, Silva
    Sturridge, RvP(c), Adebayor

Subs: Vorm, Sinclair, Kompany, de Laet
    Bank 3.1

Any recommended transfers for this week? (current view is to save, but I'm willing to listen to suggestions)

Got 2 free transfers. Currently have no Liverpool or Spurs players.

    My options are

    Dzeko + Barton > Saurez + Petrov
    Dzeko + Barton> Saurez + other 6.7m mid
    Dzeko + Ward> Saurez + Jose Enrique

or the exciting one for a 4 point hit

Rooney + Dzeko + Barton > Adebayor, Saurez + Van der vaart

Quite fancy the last option but it's going to make getting Rooney back in to my team very hard ina few weeks.

You can wait on the Ward transfer as he's got an easy game this week, who are your other defenders?

I like Dzeko to Suarez, you can pretty much lock that one in.

My defence for this week would be

Bosingwa, Ward, Simpson (Kompany, De laet)

I need to get rid of De Laet and Ward, but as you say the Ward transfer can wait

          Close to my backline.

I'm planning on getting rid of Ward next week, and STaylor in GW12, de Laet can wait as I don't see the need to use that transfer just yet when the other options are only marginally better.

What about Dzeko -> Adebayor, de Laet -> Enrique - obviously you are then playing 4 (3 if you bench Simpson) at the back but you can make that call on your mids/fwds.

Suarez for me. Norwich at home should see some goals and Suarez is very rarely not involved. He's missed a few chances that he's usually put away recently too so some unfortunate team will suffer from him being more clinical.

Right now the first things you got to get rid of are Delph and barton to Ramsay and moses/Eagles.

Than Arteta next week, and Id downgrade one of P Jones/Bos or Komp to a 4 mil, for a keeper id say Begovic.

          cheers that does make sense

i'm swaying towards a) but the only doubt in my mind would be missing out on either Aguero from GW10 (WOL qpr NEW liv NOR) or Suarez from GW9 (NOR wba SWA). Can't see that much point in playing Suarez for 3 weeks but want Aguero long term

When do people see the exodus from Bosingwa commencing? I'm hoping he goes up £0.1m so I can sell him for a £0.3m profit next week before they have a run of really hard games.

Sadly I do this week (and I'm a QPR season ticket holder). Am thinking dumping him GW10.

As an alternative I'm also thinking of dumping Ward whilst still making a profit on him. With £2m in the bank I can afford to upgrade him dramatically and retain Bosingwa through GW 13.

        Thoughts?

When he gets dropped, I don't see an exodus from a Chelsea player on fixtures. Kompany went up this week despite playing Man United and likely to be on all our benches...

Hopefully people are starting to plan longer term team strategies and not this stupid chopping and changing in the hope of a good score for one week or chasing last week's points.

I'm suprised such a popular site doesn't have a forum, some of the comments are very informed and some aren't. A forum would help with the organisation of comments and make it easier to filter posts...

But everybody will ignore the RMT forum than. Also who will stop them to post RMT in another thread. This was discussed a lot in the past. This version is a good one.

its actually very difficult to follow threads and trains of thought when they are chopped about, lots of repeated questions and similar topics all over the shop. Some contain real good info, but they are so dispersed as to be fairly use-less. Topic headings on a forum would make life much easier, in terms of following topics that you are interested in. It would also add longevity to posts that usually, once the page is filled, get lost in the ether...

I've said this many times but I'll say it again.

If there was a seperate RMT thread then people who post RMT's there would help each other out. That way if you want help, you dish some out yourself (a case of you scratch my back, I'll scratch yours), but if you don't post RMT's then you don't have to read them then.

It's not so bad now so I don't mind at all, but at the start of every season (and in January as we all have WC's) it's ridiculous.

I sort of like this, but it really is very very annoying when you see the twentieth Nani-VDV post question. it would be good if people read the last page or two first.

Hows my team for this week:

    Begovic (Vorm)
Bosingwa Simpson Enrique (Gabbidon N Taylor)
Silva Nani N Dyer Ramsey (SWP)
    RVP Sturridge Rooney

Tempted to get Suarez in for Rooney or should I leave it? I know I'll want Rooney back in 2 weeks. Next week I want to do SWP > Walters.

Valid point, im actually the first I think who is thinking of getting rid of Silva, since I have no united cover and dont want to get rid of Aguero. Since I think United will not need all their main guys for CL games since the opposition is weaker, but City will.

Too early to tell re: Gerrard. His looked rusty last week and scored a cr*p free kick solely because old man Giggs moved out of the way. You're better off with Lampard or VDV at the moment. I have Anderson as my 4th/5th midfielder but I'm not relying on him to score pts - if you will be, look elsewhere
