Coming down from the highs of cheering captain Luis Suarez in person to a magnificent two point tally will be hard to do, but, this Sunday, the Dugout Discussion has come good with all sorts of tasty fixtures that will soon cleanse any palette…

There are three early kick-offs at 1:30pm today as we keep track of some top ties – the Manchester derby chief amongst them. All the following line-ups are sourced from the Premier League (@premierleague).

Fergie has named the same back-line as which drew at Liverpool while recalling Anderson, Nani and Wayne Rooney to his starting line-up. Roberto Mancini has kept the faith with Mario Balotelli while he can also call on a fit again Sergio Aguero. Teams in full are…

United XI: De Gea, Evra, Ferdinand, Evans, Smalling, Fletcher, Anderson, Nani, Young, Rooney, Welbeck.

City XI: Hart, Richards, Clichy, Lescott, Kompany, Milner, Barry, Yaya Toure, Silva, Aguero, Balotelli.

Arsene Wenger said he’ll have to rest Robin Van Persie eventually – he has now. Opting instead for the brute force of Marouanne Chamakh against Stoke. Captain Ryan Shawcross will likely find himself up against Aaron Ramsey at some point today. Teams in full are…

Arsenal XI: Szczesny, Mertesacker, Santos, Koscielny, Djourou, Arteta, Song, Walcott, Ramsey, Gervinho, Chamakh.

Stoke XI: Begovic, Shawcross, Wilkinson, Upson, Whelan, Etherington, Wilson, Delap, Whitehead, Crouch, Walters.

Fulham make a widespread amount of changes from their midweek European team while David Moyes gives loan signing Royston Drenthe his first start as well as super sub Apostolos Vellios. Teams in full are…

Fulham XI: Schwarzer, Baird, Riise, Hangeland, Grygera, Murphy, Sidwell, Dempsey. Dembele, Johnson, Zamora.

Everton XI: Howard, Distin, Baines, Hibbert, Jagielka, Neville, Fellaini, Rodwell, Osman, Drenthe, Vellios.

As these games either enter the dying embers or reach a heady climax the fourth game of the day will kick off as Harry Redknapp tries to keep on pressing up the table with a trip to Ewood Park. QPR playing host to Chelsea will then round out the gameweek on all good television screens.

A whole host of opportunities today with a wide array of fixtures and top teams to savour in the Dugout Discussion. Here’s hoping the stars can live up to their billing.

Can anyone suggest a mid for 6.1 or less who can rotate with Brunt? Looked at Pilkington and Walters but neither rotate well with West Brom.

What are other Brunt owners doing?

For the next 6 weeks Nor and WBA rotate fairly well so I'm looking at Pilkington.

He played well yesterday and frees up enough cash for Rooney -> Suarez for me

Did not see that one coming.

For me its either Rooney captain, and NDyer 3 points

    or a substitute captain.

Its far from over yet though. I can easily see RVP coming on and breaking a stalemate.

RVP is about the least rotated player in the world (when fit) He's also injury prone BECAUSE he was played through minor knocks

If he actually has a minor knock, i think we should give arsene a break here.

(I've calmed down now, and yes I did captain RVP)

Different thought, with RvP on bench anyone know who is on pens for Arsenal? Used to be Fabregas and Nasri but they’ve left, Rosicky and Arshavin have taken them before but both on the bench, could it be Ramsey given he takes them for Wales and took one in pre-season?

wenger resting rvp is a psychological tactic more than a rest.
he is sending his team to the most physically chalenging fixture without their leader, let them fight together as a team.
would backfire big time if he has to bring him because theyr trailing or heading for a draw but on the paper it is a great tactical move.
    hats off wenger
