Coming down from the highs of cheering captain Luis Suarez in person to a magnificent two point tally will be hard to do, but, this Sunday, the Dugout Discussion has come good with all sorts of tasty fixtures that will soon cleanse any palette…

There are three early kick-offs at 1:30pm today as we keep track of some top ties – the Manchester derby chief amongst them. All the following line-ups are sourced from the Premier League (@premierleague).

Fergie has named the same back-line as which drew at Liverpool while recalling Anderson, Nani and Wayne Rooney to his starting line-up. Roberto Mancini has kept the faith with Mario Balotelli while he can also call on a fit again Sergio Aguero. Teams in full are…

United XI: De Gea, Evra, Ferdinand, Evans, Smalling, Fletcher, Anderson, Nani, Young, Rooney, Welbeck.

City XI: Hart, Richards, Clichy, Lescott, Kompany, Milner, Barry, Yaya Toure, Silva, Aguero, Balotelli.

Arsene Wenger said he’ll have to rest Robin Van Persie eventually – he has now. Opting instead for the brute force of Marouanne Chamakh against Stoke. Captain Ryan Shawcross will likely find himself up against Aaron Ramsey at some point today. Teams in full are…

Arsenal XI: Szczesny, Mertesacker, Santos, Koscielny, Djourou, Arteta, Song, Walcott, Ramsey, Gervinho, Chamakh.

Stoke XI: Begovic, Shawcross, Wilkinson, Upson, Whelan, Etherington, Wilson, Delap, Whitehead, Crouch, Walters.

Fulham make a widespread amount of changes from their midweek European team while David Moyes gives loan signing Royston Drenthe his first start as well as super sub Apostolos Vellios. Teams in full are…

Fulham XI: Schwarzer, Baird, Riise, Hangeland, Grygera, Murphy, Sidwell, Dempsey. Dembele, Johnson, Zamora.

Everton XI: Howard, Distin, Baines, Hibbert, Jagielka, Neville, Fellaini, Rodwell, Osman, Drenthe, Vellios.

As these games either enter the dying embers or reach a heady climax the fourth game of the day will kick off as Harry Redknapp tries to keep on pressing up the table with a trip to Ewood Park. QPR playing host to Chelsea will then round out the gameweek on all good television screens.

A whole host of opportunities today with a wide array of fixtures and top teams to savour in the Dugout Discussion. Here’s hoping the stars can live up to their billing.

I have to say, I am loving this year. You make logical, well thought out decisions for the gw only for the managers and fate to conspire against you. Certainly aint boring.

Was wondering when Drenthe and Vellios would get a start. Always looked lively in the last 5.

PS - Petrov was subbed before the goals - 3 points for Teddy.

What makes me think those FPL players who left Rooney as captain since the start of the season will profit this GW. It is almost as if FPL this season is more on luck than on skill.

The way the rest of Everton's mids have been playing, him and Vellios up front should be nailed on if they keep up the standards they have shown in their cameos.

I just want to say to all. The reason like all this season why RVP is rested is down to my jinx. Suarez would have had a hatful yesterday if he wasn't in my team. RVP also would be playing today if I hadn't have just got him in. I am sorry to all. I think this will be my last FPL season. It will mean the rest of you will have a more fairer season next year.

Stoke have played in Europe = tired. Wenger will bring on a fresh RvP in the 2nd half, and will get 4 goals*

(*ok, maybe not, but chances of returns are good)

Stoke in fact have made six changes from that side compared to Arsenal's four.

joking aside, arsenal having played in europe is a factor for them too. but it makes wengers' benching of RvP make more sense for me. Bring him on fresh as impact sub. Fingers crossed.
