Ten gameweeks into the season and Aaron Ramsey is the leading Fantasy Premier League (FPL) points scorer in the Arsenal midfield. Despite the likes of Theo Walcott playing wide right in the front three and Mikel Arteta’s set-piece duties, the young Welshman betters both his team mates’ tallies, with 37 points to the duo’s 34 respectively.

As the season unfolds, Ramsey is growing accustomed to his role as the furthest forward of Arsenal’s central midfield three; he’s either scored or assisted in four of his last five appearances, with 3 assists in his last couple of home games highlighting his Fantasy potential.

With the player having fully recovered after the horror of last season’s broken leg at Stoke, Arsene Wenger has been full of praise for his recent performances:

“I believe Aaron is on the way up. We speak about Robin van Persie a lot but people forget he has been out for one year when he was just getting into the team and that is tremendous. That he is improving now is normal because he is young. At his age there is still a lot of room for improvement for him. The worry we had was that he would be psychologically touched by the fact he was out for such a long time and we would see that when he goes into challenges. He got over that hurdle and I have been impressed with the way he dealt with the whole situation.”

His manager’s faith is shown by Ramsey’s game time. In the absence of Jack Wilshere, he’s been an integral part of the Gunners midfield in the post-Fabregas era. Aside from missing the gameweek eight home clash with Sunderland, Ramsey had played every minute of the league campaign thus far and has been a pivotal figure in a recent return to form that has seen the Gunners win eight of their last ten matches in all competitions.

Priced at 6.6 in FPL compared to Walcott’s 8.8 and Arteta’s 8.1, for example, Ramsey not only offers a way in to the Arsenal midfield right now, he looks the best option altogether. Owned by 10.9% of Fantasy managers, he’s already been transferred in by over 21,000 ahead of this weekend’s home clash with West Brom. With a very favourable run of fixtures that reads (WBA, nor, FUL, wig, EVE, mcy) there’s no doubt the young Welshman has both the form and the fixtures to prosper over the next few gameweeks as the new-look Arsenal start to click into place.

I hope defoe scores a hattrick in twenty minutes, then storms of the pitch at half time, hires a contract killer and has Van der V killed for the equivalent of a weeks wages. I then hope Ade gets played with defope up front, like in his first game... then he gets the glory instead of that greedy dutchman!

Battlefield is a brilliant game, different to CoD in a lot of ways. I've got BF3 but will still be getting MW3 too.

New Batman game is supposed to be really good but that's not my sort of things.

            Will check it out.

Only just started posting recently but you usually give decent advice Jonty, would you do Rooney to Aguero? Team is:

            Begovic (Vorm)
            Bos Enrique Simpson (Naylor Gabbidon)
Nani VDV Ramsey Walters (N Dyer)
            RVP Sturridge Rooney

No Man C is a worry but utds fixtures are so good I would maybe rather do Nani to Silva (Silva might not play this week).

tAssists seem really hard to get in the Fantasy UEFA CL.... I captained Kroos last night and saw the game, where he apperaed to have 3 assists - he was credited with 1. The same thing happened me with Dani Alves a couple of gameweeks before that. Grr.

Left at the end of last topic.. May I repeat here for comments please?

Play 3-4-3 with Bendtner or 3-5-2 with N.Dyer ? I just feel Man Utd is improving their defense while Liverpool usually poorly performed against the newly promoted side..

    Krul (Vorm)
    Simpson – Richards – N.Taylor – (Brown) – (De Laet)
    Silva? – Nani? – Mata – VDV – N.Dyer
    RVP – Adebayor – Bendtner

Its a tough choice because Swansea away aren't great and Sunderland always bend over for Man Utd.

I'd go for the 3-4-3 personally though.

For me it was either Bendtner or Allen and I've gone with Bendtner instead. It looks like a 50-50 choice but went ahead with Bendtner as he's a striker and I've been told 3-4-3 is the best formation out there.

I'm no United fan and I'm keeping Rooney....although my front line does consist of Aguero, Rooney, RVP. He's just been too damn explosive to really get rid of. I don't care if he's playing a little deeper in the midfield, injuries to the mid don't last forever and he is super pricy still. Gonna stick. Aguero does seem like a good bet this weekend, but I doubt he'll play all 90.

I may keep Rooney simply because of the fixture and other transfers that need to be done.

Rooney is a differential for me at the moment, pretty sure the guy ahead of me has done Rooney to Aguero this week. It's tough to not want to follow suit.

Until it's healthy again. I wouldn't risk losing Rooney, but if you think you can buy him back...chich is always a good bet.

Gonna get rid of Nani cos he's doing my head in sat there for 10.0, so gonna get RVP with the money from him. It would mean downgrading a midfielder though, plus it would mean selling Adebayor, although I have VDV for Spurs coverage. Should I go for Ramsey, or is that Arsenal overkill? Was also looking at Walters, but anyone got any good midfield suggestions for under 7.2?

Who do you think has the best [awful in reality: great in FPL] ration this year? Johnny Evans is my number one atm. Cannot believe Ferguson rates him above Micheal Owen, even as a central defender.

yeah thats a good call, he gives so much, yet recieves no assists, bps and obviously ain't that prolific, plus has a pretty leaky defence behind him. Poor Scotty Parker. + 1

If true, I thought these comments were quite interesting re: Terry from Paul Ince.

at 50/1 worth a punt... he genrally turns down struggling premier teams, let alone struggling champ teams. Like O'Neill, don't see the pull for him. They're not short on cash and have good track records.

The Ferguson budget bench warmer tactic has back fired on me big time, yes I know!!! Its looking like Im not going to have 11 on the pitch this week. Anyone suggest what I should do, I have already made one transfer this is my squad, so it would mean taking a hit to sort one of my non-players out, and I only have 0.1.in the bank. Hold fire? or take a hit somewhere. My next gameweek move was to downgrade Given, so I could sort out DeLaet and Petrov. Any ideas anyone?

    Given (Vorn)
    Wilkinson Enrique Simpson (Kompany DeLaet)
    Silva Petrov Ramsey VDV (Ferguson)
    RVP Adebayor Rooney

well thats who I was gonna upgrade DeLaet to, Evans. I could do it this week and buy back Kompany. Its gonna cost me 4 points though so he must play and he must get clean sheet. Is it worth risk, errrr im thinking no.
