Ten gameweeks into the season and Aaron Ramsey is the leading Fantasy Premier League (FPL) points scorer in the Arsenal midfield. Despite the likes of Theo Walcott playing wide right in the front three and Mikel Arteta’s set-piece duties, the young Welshman betters both his team mates’ tallies, with 37 points to the duo’s 34 respectively.

As the season unfolds, Ramsey is growing accustomed to his role as the furthest forward of Arsenal’s central midfield three; he’s either scored or assisted in four of his last five appearances, with 3 assists in his last couple of home games highlighting his Fantasy potential.

With the player having fully recovered after the horror of last season’s broken leg at Stoke, Arsene Wenger has been full of praise for his recent performances:

“I believe Aaron is on the way up. We speak about Robin van Persie a lot but people forget he has been out for one year when he was just getting into the team and that is tremendous. That he is improving now is normal because he is young. At his age there is still a lot of room for improvement for him. The worry we had was that he would be psychologically touched by the fact he was out for such a long time and we would see that when he goes into challenges. He got over that hurdle and I have been impressed with the way he dealt with the whole situation.”

His manager’s faith is shown by Ramsey’s game time. In the absence of Jack Wilshere, he’s been an integral part of the Gunners midfield in the post-Fabregas era. Aside from missing the gameweek eight home clash with Sunderland, Ramsey had played every minute of the league campaign thus far and has been a pivotal figure in a recent return to form that has seen the Gunners win eight of their last ten matches in all competitions.

Priced at 6.6 in FPL compared to Walcott’s 8.8 and Arteta’s 8.1, for example, Ramsey not only offers a way in to the Arsenal midfield right now, he looks the best option altogether. Owned by 10.9% of Fantasy managers, he’s already been transferred in by over 21,000 ahead of this weekend’s home clash with West Brom. With a very favourable run of fixtures that reads (WBA, nor, FUL, wig, EVE, mcy) there’s no doubt the young Welshman has both the form and the fixtures to prosper over the next few gameweeks as the new-look Arsenal start to click into place.

Think that as a collective this site has been shockingly complacent in its assumption of Pulis' team sheet. Walters was treated/sold to us as a nailed on starter, when the number of games that he'd come off the bench in Europe was high.

I bought into it, of course, by buying Walters and saying that I thought it was a good decision on this very site, without ever mentioning that he wa sfar more of a rotation risk then his stats on the official site suggested. 🙁

So i rethought my WC team..

    Begovic/Vorm

    Brown/Simpson/P Jones/Wilkinson/NTaylor

    VDV/Mata/Tiote/Larsson/Dyer

    RVP/Chica/Aguero

0.4 in the bank.. Any Suggestions??

    I'm thinking
Mata and Hernandez > Nani and Torres

    Any suggestions?? Thanks

Guess he's in there so you can afford everyone else. You're always going to have to play one of Dyer and Tiote which isn't a great situation but I like your front 3. Would be a bit worried about Hernandez getting plenty of minutes though but while we have lots of midfielders injured it should be ok.

Again not necessarily but maybe. VDV for definite and possibly a defender but it all depends how easily you can fit them in. I'd struggle to get Adebayor in my team right now without changing a lot around and I doubt I'd want to do that. But like I said, there's a few factors.

    Hi all

Went for a WC last week and in my infinite wisdom went for Milner and Silva in the same team. Could have worked but Milner didn't play so got first sub- walters.

Here's the team for this week:

    Al Habsi (Vorm)

Enrique, Richards, Simpsn (shawx, taylor (swansea))

    Silva, VDV, Ramsey, Milner (Walters)

    Ade, RVP (c), Sturridge

I reckon I could get away with zero changes this week and then have 2 transfer next week but I am tempted to bring in:

    Mata for Milner
    Bendtner for Ade

I will only have 0.1 left in the bank and it will be a 4 point hit but the fixtures look good for both of them (Bendner after the Man U game).

    Any opinions?

i think thats generally good, but you may or may not want to hang on to adebayor and get rid of sturridge maybe instead? hes not at all in great from atm and has rotation risk, more so than adebayor, and i can see ade doing some real damage in the next few weeks.

should I do rooney to rvp or just transfer to get out players who may not play this week. I mean cleverly and anderson back next gameweek surely?

Im not a footballing expert and I dont know what Fergie is thinking, but for a guy who has watched every United game this season I would say it is a better team with Clev in it. Best midfielder so far for united.

Cleverly has been good for us this season but he's still a possible rotation threat as and when everyone gets fit. I'd hope he plays a lot though

Think about taking a hit. I'd want to guarantee at least 4 midfielders but at the same time I'd want RVP in my team. If you do one or the other you should probably do the midfield transfer as Rooney has a good fixture, albeit he may play in midfield again.

Calf injury I think, was visibly in pain but walked off.

Also, I'd expect at Fulham on Sunday:

        Walker - King - Kaboul - BAE.

Ok should i be jumping on the VDV Bandwagon still got my WC but with the International Break coming up im not sure if i want to put him in...

    Al Habsi (Ruddy)

Simpson, Bosingwa, Walker, Enrique (De Laet)

Sinclair, Silva, Nani, Tiote (I Have Faith Moses)

    Van Persie, Rooney, Adebayor

Bit worried with Rooney playing so deep aswell, do i ship out Rooney and Tiote to get VDV in?

I like your squad...get rid of Bos, keep Rooney (don't know why people are selling, he's capable of scoring no matter where he is and he won't play in the mid forever...) and take a gamble on Nani or VDV. Up to you, but VDV is in more in form than Nani, so I made the Nani>VDV switch a couple of gameweeks ago....fueled my team in other areas as well.

Bit of advice needed folks, around 40k at the mo, had a sh*te start wit no roo or kun but dvd and rvp doin me proud thankfully. Team is
    Given
    Warnock, Jose E, Simpson, Wilko
Silva, dvd, moses and his quenched burning bush
    Ade, Suarez, RVP cap
Subs hoolahan kompany dyer ming and his fractured face

Was thinkin ramsey this wk for patches o'h-have 3.1 in bank
Thinkin I need to clear out ming, dyer, warnock and prob Suarez in next wk or two, have wildcard but not touching it til snow or double weeks, haven't lost any points on transfers so far and don't really want to start now
Keep hobbling together a team or break the proverbial bank?
Possible transfer targets for players mentioned above?
Please reply! Would be greatly appreciated!

You reckon this is a good starting XI for this week

    Begovic

    Enrique - Simpson - Walker

    VDV - Ramsey - Walker - Drenthe

    RVP - Aguero - Suarez

Subs: Vorm, Wilkinson, Dyer, W. Brown

Or would you go Wilkinson over Walker.
I just worry about having 2 Stoke defenders away from home.

i have some troubles for this gw:

    1-kompany suspended
    2-shawx in doubt
    3-tiote in doubt
    4-silva in doubt

i have been which changes i could do to have at least 11 starters for sure.... (i have 1 transfer)

    options:
a-kompany for richards (they will play away and without kompany, im not sure if city will get a cs)
b-kompany for jones, man u def not sure yet.
c-tiote for some midd <= 5.0, for example jonhson (nor) or allen (swa). better fixture for nor
d-dont change anything and get 2 transfers next gw.
