The EA Sports PPI scores are now published and the Fantasy Premier League game bonus have been awarded, here’s how they map out for Gameweek Eleven. As far as we know, the goals, assists and bonus points have now been fully revised and the current points will now stand…

Arsenal 3 West Brom 0

Vermaelen 3, Van Persie & Arteta 2

With Gervinho judged to have got a touch on Robin Van Persie cross, the Arsenal skipper lost his initial assist for the Thomas Vermaelen’s goal and dropped to 32 PPI points as a result. He lost out on the maximum to the Belgian defender by just a single PPI point with Vermaelen recording 33 in the PPI. Mikel Arteta also recorded a PPI of 32 so he has now been promoted in the bonus reckoning, sharing the two bonus points with Van Persie. Alex Song and Theo Walcott were just outside the bonus reckoning.

Aston Villa 3 Norwich 2
Agbonlahor 3, Bent 2, Pilkington 1

The cast in our prediction were correct, but it was Gabby Agbonlahor who gained top billing by just a single EA PPI point from team-mate Darren Bent – it could not have been closer. Antony Pilkington came in for the single as predicted, courtesy of his fourth goal of the season. On 32 PPI points, Pilkington was a fully 20 behind both Bent and Agbonlahor. Pilkington nonetheless got the bonus, holding off team-mate Steve Morison by just 3 PPI points.

Blackburn 0 Chelsea 1

Lampard 3, Ivanovic 2, Cech 1

Our prediction in last night’s members article was spot on here. Frank Lampard gathered the bonus with a PPI score of 44, a full 19 points ahead of team-mate Branislav Ivanovic who, courtesy of his assist and some decent defensive stats, earned bonus on his return to the right-back berth. Petr Cech’s saves helped him secure just a second clean sheet of the season to help gather a PPI of 23, enough to see off Ashley Cole for the single bonus point.

Liverpool 0 Swansea 0

Dyer 3, Vorm 2, Johnson 1

Hands up, we got this one wrong in last night’s prediction. Despite Nathan Dyer’s ICT stats putting him second overall in this match behind Luis Suarez (who was never going to score well in PPI terms), we chose to ignore his claim for bonus and beef up the defensive players. Dyer did however prevail here, no doubt helped by an impressive set of all-round statistics that included tackles and efforts on goal. His 20 PPI points was the lowest total to earn 3 bonus this week but nonetheless proved enough, as Michel Vorm (17) and Liverpool’s Glen Johnson (15) came in next to also fetch bonus points.

Manchester United 1 Sunderland 0

Evra 3, Rooney 2, Vidic & Nani 1

Despite Patrice Evra coming out on top amongst our ICT ratings in the United defence, we opted to go with both Vidic and Ferdinand for the bonus in last night’s prediction, believing that their extra clearances would see them ahead in the PPI stakes. Evra’s all-round contribution, that included some decent attacking statistics, proved enough for him to record a PPI of 30 however, seeing off Wayne Rooney (26) and Vidic (19). Nani also totalled 19 PPI points to share the single bonus point with Vidic – we’ve had it confirmed that Nani is holding on to his assist for the winning goal – Danny Welbeck did not get a touch on his cross before Wes Brown nodded into his own net.

Newcastle 2 Everton 1

R Taylor 3, Rodwell 2, Simpson & Ba 1

Ryan Taylor gathered the maximum having scored what turned out to be the winning goal, converting his own long-throw via a Demba Ba flick, with an effort that dipped over Tim Howard. Ba shared a single bonus point having gained the assist for Taylor’s goal – his flick was cleared by an Everton defender within the penalty box, therefore, as the last attacker with a touch, Ba earned the assist. Danny Simpson, who provided the assist for the John Heitinga own goal, also fetched bonus here. Both Simpson and Ba recorded 21 EA PPI’s points, with Everton’s Jack Rodwell topping that on 25 courtesy of his consolation that offered Everton hope just before half-time, to earn the two bonus here.

QPR 2 Man City 3

Dzeko 3, Toure 2, Silva 1

Edin Dzeko came out on top as predicted with another powerful attacking display in City’s win at Loftus Road. The Bosnian just nudged out team-mate Yaya Toure by just a single PPI point, while David Silva’s goal helped him to a PPI haul of 29 – enough to see him earn a single bonus point. Jay Bothroyd was QPR’s top PPI performer on the day but was someway behind a host of City contenders as the victory heavily influenced the PPI outcome.

Wolves 3 Wigan 1

O’Hara 3, Ward 2, Edwards 1

Last night’s Members article correctly predicted the names amongst today’s bonus but it was Stephen Ward who sneaked in front of David Edwards to earn the two bonus points. Ward’s return of 30 PPI points was enough to see off Edwards who recorded 27, while Jamie O’Hara was a clear front runner here, amassing no less than 55 PPI points with a goal and two assists to his name. Kevin Doyle and Stephen Hunt also put in impressive PPI scores, with Ben Watson Wigan’s best performer on the day.

Bolton 5 Stoke City 0

Klasnic 3, Ealges, Wheater 1

Ivan Klasnic returned to the Bolton lineup and recorded the top overall PPI score of the gameweek with a haul of 68. That was more than enough to see him hold off team-mate Chris Eagles for the maximum bonus points. We predicted that David Wheater would sneak in for a single bonus, courtesy of some decent defensive stats and his assist, and so it proved. Wheater held off the claims of Kevin Davies and Paul Robinson who also fetched storng PPI returns from the Reebok rout.

Fulham 1 Tottenham 3

Bale 3, Lennon 2, Adebayor 1

Gareth Bale and Aaron Lennon provided the major attacking threat for Spurs and subsequently dominated the PPI scores in this match. Bale edged out his team-mate by just a single PPI point to fetch the maximum on offer, while Emmanuel Adebayor did enough to pick up the single point, surprisingly surpassing the PPI total of Brad Friedel, who kept Fulham at bay with a string of saves. Friedel recorded a PPI score of 20 with Adebayor amassing 26 to claim the single bonus.

Mark Mark created the beast. He's now looking to tame it.

    Lots of frustration this season.

Last season I started off pretty badly, so desperately searched the net for advice and stunmbled across this site just before xmas.

I got sucked into the kolarov love and kept getting burnt.

But once I got that out my system I started clawing back a 100+ defecit.

By March I took the lead, and ended up winning my mini league by over 200 pts. I owe a lot to this site. I Had 2 monster dgws which helped too.

I thought that this saeson as a member from the start I would trounce everybody, but the harder I seem to try, the less it works. The casual players in my league sometimes forget to do their teams, or just have a quick tweak on a saturday morning, and annoyingly it is paying off for them.

I read every article, keep squad full of watchlist toppers while minimising hits, have an awareness of building value and avoiding drops, also making sure players rotate and have a balanced squad,
Had bad luck with captain choices/ lots of nearly weeks, until rvp came good, but still getting left for dead by the casuals, who all seem to get points from things that a serious player wouldnt do, but comes off for them. Half their squads look terrible yet somehow it works.

    My questions are-

When is the pendulum gonna start swinging towards the serious player??

Are there any opportunities to be had in the coming months where the serious player can take advantage and start getting ahead? (eg. DGWs International break tactics etc).

The pendulum has already swung. I've gained about 500,000 places over the last 6 weeks and up into the 30k mark now.

DGWs will certainly make it even more.

Problem with being in the top 50k is as Jafa would say..."The dead zone"....really difficult to better ranking unless you take hits(which after all the hard work you obviously are not keen on doing).

Result is you need to be patient as the increase in ranking might be slower then the last say 5 weeks.

        Frustrating.

        😕

It is frustrating but I seem to be a bit more patient with points and players this season. Slowly gaining on my league leader as he has a very similar team to me. Was nearly 50 points behind at one point and now about 25. Waiting for him to make the wrong move before i start thinking of differentials 🙂

Saying that - Drenthe will move me further up the rankings!

A lot of serious players on here are doing alright already 😉 Still loads of luck involved... Good team value will help you more after january IMO once you can afford 6 big hitters and casuals only 4...

The key to this game appears to be consistency and patience.

Knee jerks rarely pay off. Keep making sensible, informed choices based on a combination of form & fixtures and you'll do well over the course of the season.

Avoid points hits. People are far too casual about 4 pointers. They soon add up.

Pendulum wont necessarily swing as alot of this game has to do with luck but I envisage the serious player will benefit in the long run, but luck is a key part of the game.

Christmas and January is usually the time when the serious player can catch up. Games called off due to weather or other competitions mean a lot of double game weeks. You've really got to pay attention to take advantage of these fixtures. I rememeber getting 64 points from a Rooney captain in one double gameweek. Most of us are in the same boat, me especially. Keep the chin up, you'll get ahead of the casuals soon enough.

People always say that, But I have found the last 3 years though that I manage my team over Xmas and tend to still do worse then the teams in my mini league that actually go on holiday and don't make any trades.

Same. Nov - Dec last year was my worst period. I got annoyed so made early transfers. One week I transferred someone in and then back out again because of called off games. Hopefully I'm a little more patient this year 🙂

I usually start off slow and then get back into it around the Christmas period when there are so many fixtures. Everyone is different I guess! However, the hardcore players like ourselves tend to end up higher come the end of the season. At least I hope that's whats going to happen this season!

January/February time is usually where I reel in and overtake my mini-leaguers. I often start slow, not usually this bad though, but 4 or so weeks ago I was about 120 points behind and now it's down to 70ish. First week inside the top 1M (800k now), and I'm liking the look of my team for next week.

Patience, David, there's plenty of time to catch them up. SLowly but surely, reel them in.

I think people are forgetting that Stoke was never an away team. My advice is pay no attention to how they fare away - buy their players for home games.

Having said that. After Europa League games, they are obviously also going to be weakened, both physically, but even more mentally, as they do not have much European experience - i.e. a lot of impressions to digest (yes, I am actually serious).

true, they can't handle the euro games at all....even when playing at home after.
The tricky part is now predicting who'll be paying with Higgin back...I always though he was more a full back but seems to have come on as a centre back

not sure what transfer to do next (did a WC 2 weeks back)

I think Given has to go. Sunderland have some good games coming up but who will play...Westwood or Gordon?
Ade has a home game next so will give him 1 last chance....Suarez in maybe after his 2 tough games are over.
    Going to stick with Rooney

      Westwood will play.

      Wouldn't go near Suarez.

Stick with Rooney is a good choice (I'm hopeful at least)

Dont like your defence. Too weak at the back!
And with Newcastle's upcoming fixtures , dont see NUFC's fairy run of clean sheets will continue!
      Gabiddon? really?
If you are looking for cheapies , go for Turner(4.3) Sunderland. Good fixtures.

I only play 3 at the back and Kompany will always be 1 of them. The rest rotate well.
QPR have had as many clean sheets as Chelsa this season I read somewhere! Swansea are playign ridicously well.
I agree Newcastle have reached the end of the road, surely.

A thought on the Rooney situation. There's a lot of negativity about him and his role, but I only brought him in this week and while he didn't score he went very close in the double save that could also resulted in an assist. He takes penalties, has ridiculous fixtures coming up, plays for Man U, is a regular fixture in his side and will score heavily if upfront. To offset the negativity for any possible midfield role - he his heavily involved in the passing build up, that no doubt gained him 2 bonus points on Saturday. Chicharito or Welbeck albeit possibly better value options will always have that threat of rotation and being subbed.

Rooney will not be playing during this international fortnight and will be fresh and ready and for me looks a worthy captaincy option at Swansea to take on RVP who will be at Norwich four days before a very important champs lge games against Dortmund. Any international involvement for RVP could see him on the bench at Norwich.

    Hi Guys

Already have VDV. Adebarndoor has been doing my head in. Thinking of taking him out.

    Should I

    a) Stick with him
    b) take him out but replace with who? Have £1 mill to play with but already have RVP and Aguero up top.

Want to replace Given as I'm getting sick of 1/2 pts per week. Vorm is my other keeper. Do I:

    A. Go up to DeGea
    B. Stay in the same price range and go Schwarzer/Begovic
    C. Go down to Krul

    Thanks!

    Mignolet
    Kompany Jose Enrique Shawcross
Silva Ramsey Van der Vaart Nani
    Suarez Aguero Agbonlahor

Subs - Ruddy Reo-Coker Simpson Taylor

Looking at Suarez for Dzeko, Adeybayor, I sold RvP just before the Arsenal game 🙁

Any ideas on strengthening will be welcome, I know Mignolet is out - hoping a mask will ensure a speedy return.

That's a quality-looking team, although I'd much rather have RVP than Aguero seeing as he'll play a lot more minutes - as long as he doesn't get injured - and is on insanely good form.

Shawcross out for Assou-Ekotto after Stoke's next two home games? He's a bit cheaper, on pretty much the same points total and has great fixtures in a form team for the foreseeable future, plus he's been putting in some dangerous balls and getting forward; I'd back him to get an assist or two soon. Stoke are dire by contrast and you have to bench their players after every Europa league tie.

I'd go for Drenthe, both have good fixtures but Drenthe has produced the good every game he has played almost bar the big teams. has only played around 45 mins per game on average so far but starting to play the full 90 minutes now.

Bit of advice please folks, here is my team with selling values:

    BEGOVIC (5.1), VORM (4.2)

    STAYLOR (4.8), ENRIQUE (5.4), BOSINGWA (5.8), SHAWX (5.1), KOMPANY (6.1)

    VDV (10.4), RAMSEY (6.5), SILVA (10.0), PILKINGTON (5.1), NDYER (4.6)

    RVP (12.2), SUAREZ (9.4), STURRIDGE (6.7)

    BANK= 1.1M

Not got wildcard. Just looking at sorting my GK combo so it rotates, BOSINGWA out, not too sure of suarez now either. Everton and sunderland look good but nobody is setting world alight.

To many mistakes made this weekend! Demba Ba is given assist for nothing, v.Persie didn´t get 2 assists thought he clearly did!! Holt gets 2 assist, which is funny because first goal came from direct freekick!! Nani is given Welbecks assist. Bale get a goal that is clearly an own goal by fulham defender. THIS IS AT LEAST 6 MISTAKES!!!
