After yesterday’s Premier League bonanza of eight games, today we have to settle for just a single fixture. It’s a potential cracker though, as Chelsea take on Liverpool at Stamford Bridge. The Dugout Discussion opens it’s doors for the short shift, and the team news is in…

Chelsea XI: Cech, Ivanovic, Luiz, Terry, Cole, Ramires, Mikel, Lampard, Mata, Drogba, Malouda.

Liverpool XI: Reina, Enrique, Johnson, Skrtel, Agger, Lucas, Adam, Kuyt, Maxi, Bellamy, Suarez.

The headline news concerns the names that don’t appear on those team sheets. Three players that cost their respective clubs a total of over £100m in 2011 all feature on the bench. Chelsea opt for Didier Drogba over former Liverpool star Fernando Torres, and Liverpool leave out Andy Carroll and Stewart Downing in favour of Craig Bellamy and Maxi Rodriquez.

Elsewhere, David Luiz and Florent Malouda get the nod ahead of Alex and Daniel Sturridge respectively.

Join us in the Dugout Discussion chatroom to follow all the action.

A feisty affair at the Bridge has served up a further 5 yellow cards, but none to players in sight of the Suspension Tightrope.
Ivanovic and Luiz move to 2 cards away from a suspension, while Ramires and Kuyt are now 3 away and Lucas picks up his 6th of the season to sit 4 away from another ban.

Shame Fatty couldn't get one. Want to bring him in week 16, getting the suspension out the way would make it an easier decision, not to mention the transfers out if he was suspended.

I posted this morning that Lampard is a tricky one.
Only 1 yellow all season last year, so he's certainly not got history. Could be 1 game or 8 until he finds that ban.

A yellow next week though will be served in the Cup QF (against who? - Liverpool).

I really hate the Sunday 4pm games. They always seem to go badly for me. I wasn't expecting much from today's game but two 2 pointers is very frustrating with Sturridge who I just took out scoring. The last two 4pm games were bad (rival had Bale who outscored VDV and Ade). Before that it was the Chelsea QPR debacle and they always seemed to go badly last season too.

Excellent. Now I have to decide what the crap to do with Rooney and Nani.

    Get Baines in?
Cheapy Midfield and get Walters and Larsson?
Get Helguson for rooney and grab lampard? That would mean keeping Moses.....meh.

He didn't get any money to spend. he did the best he could with a crappy team led by the sloth himself, Torres. You give him the money Dog leash has they become much better. Dawglish has actually had really crappy results considering the money the spent.

For Henderson, Downing, and Carrol.........wow. yes, I now Suarez and Adam have done well, but all things considered its a pretty big waste for a team that can't beat Norwich and Swans at home and probably will nto make champions league.

Look, i get the anti-LFC theme. But seriously. Take a look on youtube at the Torres when Gerrard was playing behind him. Ask Vidic what he thinks of him. Roy was unlucky that Stevie was playing through a groin strain that season and Torres had his head turned by Chelsea and CL. Not his fault. Its a results game and we were sliding down the table. Kenny put that right in record time.

            End of discussion.

Not true. It's all about the money. Roy wanted to spend more, but couldn't. Everyone is the WORLD even Macca was saying that it had to do with lack of quality, not managing. Dog Leash didn't actually get that good of results. He got beat by teams like Blackburn and a Hodsgon managed WBA last year.

So the discussion is wide open. Pool fans just like to cover their eyes to Dawglish's ACTUAL record and pretend he's way better.

It's just like with Hodgson: Pool can play the good teams sometimes, but they suck at home and can't beat the fodder teams.

Nope. Roy messed up. No one else did it for him. I think you are deluded by the fact hes such a nice guy. Chelsea and City would have sacked him much earlier than we did. I wish Roy the best of luck. It just didnt work out.

Kenny took us from lower mid table to 6th (and close to 5th). We scored a shed load of goals after he took over.

I would do this move next week at earliest. Fixtures say hernandez. Form says Aguero IMO. Both could get rotated equally? But City are fixture proof.

I have to swap De Laet this week as I dont want to play 2 from Simpson, Kompany, Enrique.

He has the fixtures and is back up top now.

I may still wait until GW15 though and save the transfer.

    Need some advice;

Currently have a defense line of: Jones,Enrique,ShawX(S.Taylor,R.Taylor)

Considering getting rid of one of the taylors for Brown(any others around 4.5-5.0 welcome)
which one should go or should I save my free

Then you will have my defense! I'd keep R Taylor but depends how late you got him/how much you paid for him. For me he's only 4.5 mil so happy benching him if Newcastle have a toughy.

Got him at 4.1 or get rid of S.Taylor then(got him cheap as well)

ShawX. I did the same move this week with Wilknas my remaining Stoke coverage. Of course, he would score.

Yes, sick and tired of this guy. Good player, but so frustrating. Have had him since GW2, and he does not justify his price at all.

Took a 4 point hit to bring in Jones for Bos, 2 points profit. Casual.

Which defender would you have played had you kept Bos and they came off your bench?

Take that away and that's the nett ... but I expect Jones to make up even more points for the next few weeks, not just this GW

Jones might yet get 2baps so that could become a 4 point profit

Thinking of doing Suarez > Aguero. I know City have "tough" games coming up but surely they can score against weak and error prone defenses of Chelsea and Arsenal.
    Good move?

I think it's solid. Problem is rotation. I'm sticking with Balo for the moment but might sell Ade to be able to afford Aguero.

Another week, another crap decision. Decided to play Moses over Sturridge, thinking there would be goals in the b'burn game (which there were) and that DS might be on the bench (which he was)
    Urghh

According to Moyes, twisted rib muscle could keep him out for several weeks. Im now thinking of going with my original plan of Eagles.
