You know the drill. The Scout Selection Committee picks three players and Big Dunc’s way with words tempts you with our Friday night trio. Dunc is unavailable for selection this weekend, so I’ve stepped into the breach to deliver this week’s Differentials piece in his absence. Here’s who we have for your consideration…

Steve Morison

We’re backing the Norwich striker heavily this weekend. Drafted in to the “Ones to Watch” section of our official Fantasy Premier League (FPL) Scout article, he gets the nods here for his performances over the last few gameweeks.

The Welshman has found the net in each of his last three games, scoring against Blackburn, Aston Villa and Arsenal, and while the Canaries seem incapable of picking up a clean sheet, he’s been the one consistent source of points in Paul Lambert’s side of late.

Between gameweek 10-12, only Robin Van Persie has scored more goals than Morison, an indication of his form right now. Up next? A home clash with a QPR side that have conceded 11 goals in their last three road trips. Priced at 4.9 and with an ownership of just 1.3%, Morison looks good value to extend that scoring streak at Carrow Road tomorrow.

Phil Bardsley

Back in the Sunderland fold after a season blighted by both injury and suspension, Bardsley‘s presence in the Black Cats’ back line adds a definite solidity. A look at his four ninety-minute appearances so far this term shows just 2 goals conceded for Steve Bruce’s side, despite away clashes against Liverpool and Man United.

With Kieran Richardson shifted further forward, Bardsley seems to have been instilled as the first-choice left-back once again. His performance in the goalless draw at home to Fulham last week was encouraging from an offensive point of view, too, with plenty of goalscoring opportunities produced for team mates.

Wigan roll up to the Stadium of Light on something of a downer after last week’s controversial home draw with Blackburn and the Latics will hardly take heart in their away performances to date. Roberto Martinez’s side have netted just twice in six away games this season and Bardsley, priced at 4.8 in FPL and owned by just 2.1% of Fantasy managers, could prove a decent differential ahead of tomorrow’s Wearside showdown.

Theo Walcott

Ultimately, it may prove a false dawn but (whisper it) there’s a suggestion that Theo Walcott has developed a consistent streak of late. Prior to gameweek ten, the Gunners winger had never scored or assisted in consecutive weeks but he’s now achieved that feat twice in a row.

A goal in the 5-3 romp at Chelsea was followed by assists against West Brom and Norwich and, as Arsene Wenger’s side start to shift through the gears and climb up the table, Walcott is beginning to produce the goods with something akin to regularity.

Given his “previous”, there’s every chance he could crash and burn at home to Fulham tomorrow but with Robin Van Persie’s current form, any pass to the Dutchman’s feet is liable to result in an assist. With Gervinho providing plenty directness on the opposite flank, Walcott is no longer the only real source of pace up front for Arsenal and has almost doubled his haul for the season in those last three fixtures. Priced at 8.8 he’s hardly a cut-price option but with just 3.6% ownership and up against the attack-minded John Arne-Riise tomorrow evening, he may well prosper as the Gunners go looking for their sixth win in seven.

Paul Is certain he won't make the same mistakes next season. Follow them on Twitter

RVP if you like guaranteed points, Lamps if you're trying to make up ground.

That's the balancing act isn't it?

Lamps scores big while RVP comes back to earth and it's happy days... Lamps does bog all while RVP continues his roll and you're worse off than when you started the week.

im second by a point but all my rivals will have vpersie as captain, if i have lampard and he does well plus persie does well then i would of made up more points and could get back to first? or is it to early to be gambling

If there's only a point in it, I'd suggest you go RVP and back the rest of your squad to outscore theirs. Odds are too great that it'd backfire otherwise!

I'm not sure if it's still early or not.. But, if it was me, I would continue to captain RVP to ensure keep the gap and hope other differentials in my team make a close of point gap.

Hi again... I plan to save 1 FT to next week, but now considering if I should have back-up in case VDV doesn't play. Team now... Note that I keep Evans as N.Taylor will be my first sub.

    Vorm
    Richards - Evans - Brown
    VDV - Silva - Mata - Bale
    RVP(c) - Ade - Bendtner
    Sub: Krul, N.Dyer, N.Taylor, Simpson

A: N.Dyer > Drenthe ... someone just interestingly pointed out the weakness on the right side of Bolton.
    B: N.Dyer > Sinclair ... a useless sideway move?
    C: N.Dyer > Pilkington
D: N.Dyer > SWP ... is he now OOP and playing as forward?

    What do you think please?

Who to buy for Brunt? Choices seems to be Walters, Sinclair, Drenthe, Eagles & Pilkington. Already have Dyer if that affects picking Sinclair. Don't have coverage from the 4 other sides & already have Sess. 6.5 to spend.

Going into this GW, my FFS Cup rival has made 2 changes, one of them was for a 4 point hit.

    My team goes like

    Vorm

    Brown Enrique Shawcross

Larrson Silva Vaart Walters Bradley Johnson

    Rooney RVP (( C))

Bench : Ruddy, Hoilett, Kompany, Evans

Do I need to make any transfers?

I was planning on selling Rooney, but thought it's not worth it as he's home and in for a good chance of bagging a brace perhaps.

For all the ppl asking the "should i do Vdv to Bale" question. here's a summary
Vdv is on all set pieces.. plays off the striker.. However with injury problems and goin into the hectic christmas schedule with a capable defoe waitin on the bench along with easy fixtures expect 60 minute starts if any over the next month
Bale is on barely if any.. he is playin more central however and looking a much better bet than last year.. guaranteed 90 mins and for that reason along with the 2 million saved up to upgrade say a dyer to a sinclair.. he offers brilliant value.. just dont ever captain him and expect points every week.. keep him for a period of 8 weeks and expect 2 2 13 2 2 2 10 or so..
    Goodnight

          You should consider 3 factors:-

long term, will be very difficult to get him back before wc
          he might just play?

I'm thinking of doing VDV to Bale for 2 good reasons

    1- Cheaper
2- Bale is guaranteed 90mins every game. VDV is always an injury doubt and never plays 90mins even when fit.

Someone talk me out of it pls. Free transfer btw

    Vorm(Krul)
    Shawcross/Kompany/Jones/Enrique/Tier
    Silva/VDV/Walters/Drenthe/Pilk
    RVP/Ade/Sturridge

I have 1.3 in the bank and 2 free transfers..... usually it's a choice between which player to bring in, but this time I am considering not making any transfer and losing one of them! Can anyone see some moves that could/should be made? I was thinking about taking pilk out for a cheaper bench mid, like Allen.

      vdv>>>bale
      sturr>>> more guranteed starts striker
piks>>>>cheaper bench to upgrade elsewhere like baines in defence
tierney>>>> to emmm... anyone else like from swansea back line
but as i said none of them look like a no brainer

    Vdv out for Lamps?
Roons out for Lil' Pea? Alternatively, Roons out for Ade?
Man U's fixtures better than Spurs', and can always put vdv back for Lamps next week.....

Doesn't necessarily mean he thinks Pool will win, just that both sides will probably concede and Enrique is a better attacking threat than Kompany.

Isn't Agbon a doubt for the Swanea trip? He's on 4 yellows too. Anyways, I think you have to sort your bench out. Boxing days are getting nearer than ever, you need everyone to be fit so that you avoid getting into troubles with injuries and suspensions very likely.
