A run of three home fixtures in the next four gameweeks brings Jamie O’Hara into our updated Watchlist rankings this week. Back from a one-match suspension, the former Tottenham man will be key to Mick McCarthy’s side as they look to climb the table after a disappointing first few months of the season.

With Wolves sitting fourth-bottom, just two points above the relegation zone, this upcoming run of games will be a critical part of their season and O’Hara’s recent form certainly offers reasons to be optimistic. Site Members will be all too familiar with his potential- O’Hara’s threat and creativity has seen him stationed in the top ten of our ICT Index virtually all season, with a recent change of system from Big Mick finally allowing him to flourish as a Fantasy asset.

A move to 4-5-1 has afforded O’Hara the chance to play further forward, tucked in just behind Kevin Doyle, and while his away form has been far from flattering, he has scored in his last three Molineux games in all competitions. League goals against Swansea and Wigan, in addition to netting against Man City in the Carling Cup defeat, are clear examples of a resurgent eye for goal.

While a trip to Old Trafford could blunt his returns, a look at his other fixtures in the aforementioned run (SUN, mun, STO, NOR) shows just why he’s sprung to our attention. Sunderland, Stoke and Norwich have been abysmal on their travels, with a single away win each so far this season and if Wolves can replicate the home form that seen them dismiss Man City, Man United and Chelsea at Molineux last term, O’Hara will surely feature.

Priced at just 5.7 in Fantasy Premier League (FPL) and with an ownership of just 1.8%, he could prove a handy, mid-priced differential over the next few matches ahead of the busy Christmas schedule.

Paul Is certain he won't make the same mistakes next season. Follow them on Twitter

who knows!!! it was on here earlier (last post or the 1 before) that harry would have preferred to not play defoe against paok but had limited options. ppl read into that that vdv wont be fit for the weekend & defoe is def needed

Pav has been injured (he headbutted Kyle Walker's knee, apparently) but is back in training. He will NOT be let anywhere near the league first team. DVD we're still awaiting news.

Do not read anything into Defoe's start last night, Redknapp had no other options but to play him, and it does not indicate a Sat start either way. I suspect Droopy will have to make a late call on him, but if he's fit, he will play him over Jermain.

    Ohara..
41 shots this season.. averages to above 3 per game
Despite playin 4-4-2 from the start of the season he plays pretty high up(average position maps) and is at level almost with Ebanks/Fletcher with just Doyle ahead(and very earlt season jarvis.. who after 3 games fell further back)
Number of key passes are pretty high
    Rotates well with Norwich/Sunderland/Stoke/Swansea attackers

Enough to convince me to do Sessegnon to Ohara

    Vorm (Given)
    Jones Enrique Kompany (Naylor Wilkinson)
    VDV Silva Walters Larsson (Dyer)
    Ade RVP Sturridge

Could do either Larsson to Nani or Walters to Mata. Nani one just edging it due to lack of ManU attack. Do you like 'em or see any better alternatives?

With Henry suspended and fletcehr and doyle back ohara may play deep.. might as well keep sess for 2 games and then do the swap.. Ohara will get 2 points next week whereas Sess could get 10+

Not exactly happy with current team. Playing in a monthly Head 2 Head for high end beer.

    Westwood (Ruddy)

    Taylor Kompany Gabbidon (Simpson) (Wilkinson)

    Silva Walters Brunt Bale (Johnson)

    Rooney Van Persie Sturridge

    Thinking of Rooney –> Adebayor & Gabbidon–>Baines

the dilemma is that I’d have to drop Brunt or Walters or maybe Kompany down to a chepaer player to bring Rooney back in next week for a 4 pt hit. Kopmany –> Enrique then Adebayor –> Rooney currently is at a 0.0 margin of financial error.

IMO Ade's a more reliable source of points that Rooney at the moment. Not sure why your intent on transferring Rooney back with Spur's fixtures, incluidng double GW coming up.

Transfers done nice and early to beat rises, a treble with a four point hit but only my first of the season. Had to be done to out Saurez who I've lost confidence with and get in Silva and Sturridge who I think is the best 6.0-7.0m player in the game from an attacking point of view. Really hope AVB grants him his wishes as the main striker down the middle 🙂

    Now set up as :-

    Schwarzer

    Kompany Enrique Shawcross

    Bale Silva Sinclair Ramsey

    RVP Rooney Sturridge

Bench Vorm, Simpson, Naylor, Reo Choker

Well happy going into Xmas, at least safe in the knowledge of all three subs being worth a place when called upon...

Anyone else planning on bringing in the likes of Baine, holy trinity etc. before gw.20 and then play the jan. WC before gw.21?

Got Baines this week, aswell as Bale for VDV. Thinking about downgrading Rooney for someone like BA, and then get VDV in for a cheap mid close to gw.20. Maybe I'll even throw in Drenthe for Brunt if he gets fit and finds some form. That would give me 3 from spurs and 2 from Everton. Would be tempting to play the WC to fix it abit.

Dropping Aguero is like pre-emptively dumping a bad girlfriend: You never really had a chance to begin with, they were definitely cheating on you with another "league", her friends were constantly tempting you, and sure they'd give you the odd pick-me-up, but ending it on your terms always feels better.

Hey guys, what are your thoughts on Dzeko/Walters > Ba/Bale this week? Both FT.

Ba to score at home to Chelski looks a stretch to me, I think it'll be a very tight 0-0, 1-0 either way. Dzeko could start against NOR, and bag a hat full. I'd stick on that one for now, but Walters to Bale may make sense, depending on the rest of your team.

Really? I thought we might have another Arsenal v Chelsea on our hands with Chelsea struggling to keep tight at the back.

The Barcodes success has been built on a solid back line, and I wouldn't expect anything additionally cavalier from them. Pardew will know this is a great opportunity to give Chelski a rare beating, and will set his team and tactics accordingly, I would think.

Dzeko could play and score well, you have kinda missed the boat on Bale as he has risen about0.8 in 2 weeks if you have VDV just keep him, Ba seems like a really good shout over christmas though very unlikely to get rotated.

Good moves. You might want to keep Dzeko, Ba is up against Chelsea. On the other hand Dzeko might not play... Do it.

Yeah I had lined up a move for Sess/Dzeko or Drenthe/Dzeko (depending on fitness) out but decided to hold off until midweek fixtures.. now its too expensive and I can't afford it!

Sess > Walters would be silly IMO, Stoke away on the back of a European game is never good, Sunderland could get a lift when a new man comes in. I have Walters but have considered actually letting him go.
