As we announced in our previous post, Rafael Van der Vaart is available for Spurs tomorrow. Elsewhere, another fast and furious Friday brings plenty news from around the Premier League- read on for more as the press conference updates begin to roll in.

Dimitar Berbatov, Rafael and Fabio have all been ruled out of Man United’s trip to Aston Villa tomorrow. The trio picked up injuries in the midweek Carling Cup defeat by Crystal Palace, though Sir Alex Ferguson confirmed the Bulgarian’s injury is not a serious one.

Sylvain Distin looks set to return for Everton’s game against Stoke. The centre-half has been training with the first-team since Monday and is likely to recover from a groin strain ahead of the Goodison clash on Sunday. Phil Neville, Jack Rodwell and Royston Drenthe are all being assessed as the Toffees go for three wins in a row.

Shane Long is to take pain-killing injections in order to overcome a groin problem and play at QPR tomorrow. With Zoltan Gera ruled out for the season earlier this week, Long’s presence up front will be a major boost for West Brom ahead of the Loftus Road showdown.

Cheik Tiote will be missing once again for Newcastle as Chelsea make their make to Tyneside. The Ivorian has been sidelined for five games now, though Danny Guthrie has proven to be an able deputy alongside Yohan Cabaye. Leon Best is set to recover from a groin problem and boost Alan Pardew’s forward options.

Steve Kean received a significant boost ahead of tomorrow’s game with Swansea. Chris Samba, Martin Olsson and Michel Salgado are all available for the Ewood Park showdown for bottom of the table Blackburn. Junior Hoilett is a doubt, though, having picked up a virus.

Owen Coyle’s defensive worries are starting to ease up. Joe Riley is making good progress from a hamstring problem, while Sam Rickets has been penciled in for a reserve outing next week as he continues his recovery from an Achilles injury. Neither will feature tomorrow at Spurs, though. Coyle confirmed both Dedryk Boyata and David Ngog are in contention for comebacks tomorrow, though Ricardo Gardner and Nigel Reo-Coker are rated as “touch and go”, with knee and hamstring problems respectively.

Danny Graham is a major doubt for Swansea at Blackburn tomorrow. Leroy Lita is likely to lead the line for the Swans, with Graham struggling to overcome an Achilles problem sustained in last week’s draw with Aston Villa. Ashley Richards should deputise for Angel Rangel at right-back, with the Spaniard sidelined for a month with an ankle injury picked up in the same game.

Richard Stearman is set for a speedy return to the Wolves first-team. The right-back looks likely to play with a protective cast on his injured wrist on Sunday at home to manager-less Sunderland- Ronald Zubar seems set to drop out again for the crucial clash against the Black Cats.

Neil Warnock revealed he is still optimistic that Shaun Wright-Phillips will be involved in QPR’s game with West Brom. The winger- who has been playing up front of late- picked up a foot injury last week but is set to feature, providing he comes through today’s training session unscathed. Adel Taarabt could return to the first-team squad, while Kieron Dyer and David Connolly are making good progress from injury.

Damien Duff is a doubt for Fulham’s game with Liverpool on Monday night. The winger returned to the first-team in last night’s Europa League clash with FC Twente but suffered a recurrence of a hamstring problem.

Paul Is certain he won't make the same mistakes next season. Follow them on Twitter

i can honestly see Manu keepin 6-7 cleanies up until gw 23.. i wanna piece of that.. got jones but not convinced he'll play.. considerin jones to evra next week.. for free.. then gw 24 wildcard evra goes.. that's about 45 odd points.. looks a good punt for 7 million.. apart from walters no one between 6-8.5 performin.. anyone with me?

It's only really worthwhile having defenders from United at this moment in time, would really love to get Vidic in as he's a great threat on goal but just slightly too expensive.

and add a goal and 3 bps for vidic and you have 50 odd points from him.. does'nt seem bad.. normally i'm against expensive defenders.. but taht run is incredible.. and no one from their attack seems worth it

Exactly why I've got him (Vidic) this week. From now until the next WC I can just see CS after CS for United. Vidic is always a goal threat and the PPI seems to like him.

I think 6-7 CS is high, but you could see 4 of the 5 home games and maybe 1 away - 5 is not out of the question. Evra/Vidic seem the only 2 nailed on, so you have to pay a premium if you think 6-7 CS are in the cards.

Any idea at all what i can do with this lot?

    Howard
    Kompany Enrique Santos Walker
    Ramsey Silva VDV
    RVP Bendtner Sturridge

subs - Vorm, Sinclair, Moses, Simpson.

Got 2.2m in the bank and 1 free transfer. A few possible moves i could do are:

    1. Moses > Ben Arfa or O'hara or Larsson
    2. Bendtner > Ba or Yakubu or Balotelli
    3. Bendtner & Ramsey > Adebayor & Ben Arfa or O'Hara

Thoughts? I could do nothing and save my transfer although i don't think my team looks particularly strong this GW.

Where's the MGP love coming from? I know he's been good for Blackburn the past few seasons, but they're having a poor season, and he doesn't seem to be playing too high up the pitch.

I think in all likelihood he'll pick Sameobi, I think in order of possibility it would be

            1) Sammy
            2) HBA with either Best or Shola up front with Ba
            3) Ryan Taylor LM with Santon LB
            4) 3 reversed
            5) Lovenkrands

Ramsey/Sinclair --> Ben Arfa if you're saving money for Baines

Ramsey --> Cahill as a differential

Quite like option 3 above to. If you go for option 2, I'd pick Ba ... but then I'm biased.

I made my Walcott my (c) this week

Here's why: He's been in blistering form and even if he doesn't score, he's been assisting regularly. He's been unlucky not to get his goals against Fulham and Norwich and he's due for an explosion of points.

And with many in my league table captaining RVP, could be a good differential to extend my lead against my rivals?

    Give me your opinion.

Is having Ade, Bale and VDV over cooking it with Spuds players? I’ve currently got all three and was considering binning VDV, but the positive news coming out about his injury really knocks that move on the head. Should I stick with the trio through to gw20, or do I need to scale back and let one of them go?

Just catching up on the reading and I hope one of the Euro 2012 groups is

    Spain
    England
    Portugal
    France/Rep Ireland

Also on Martin O'neill joining Sunderland there are a few players that could do a job for Sunderland from celtic off the top of my head -

    Stokes
    Hooper
    Kayal
    Izeguirre
    Forrest
    Brown

Thats over half their team,so I dont know about 'SPL rejects'. A few Scottish players to come from the SPL and do well - Fletcher, Adam, Hutton, Gordon, Berra, Dorrans, Snodgrass could walk into half of the Premier Leagues 1st teams first teams.

I think alot of people views on Scottish football harsh. I know its went to sh1t recently, we could never get the likes of Van Persie or Messi linked with Rangers any more but thats because the TV has dried up and gone to the PL if Sky were to somehow cut how much the pay the PL then alot of the clubs would struggle just as Rangers and Celtic have and I doubt theyd be able to survive and do so well considering their financial circumstances!

haha dont be sorry, im just expressing my opinion. I think its harsh the way TV money dictates the game, i see my team (a european household name) get weaker and weaker each season with players chosing Derby & Millwall over playing for a huge club. Money makes the world go round though eh?

Nah, your right to have your own opnion, i did kinda just throw out that comment without really thinking. Your right tho, its sad players would rather play in the Championship than the SPL. Its the Champions League which has ruined it for sides in the SPL.

Historically Rangers and Celtic have performed admirrably in the Champions League, when we've got there although we have had some shock results. I think the CL benifits clubs from Italy Spain and England and clubs from Holland, Scotland, Belguim & Scandanivia all lose out

Game is 3pm tomorrow (Saturday) then Bayern is 7.45 on WEDNESDAY, that's 4 1/2 days rest. Plenty

He played 60 minutes mid week, if he starts at the weekend that's another 60 minutes as a minimum and that would make him slightly overplayed/fatigued if they put him out for Bayern.

I'd personally get rid of Bendtner with the instability at the club - Ba seems like a safe option.
