As we announced in our previous post, Rafael Van der Vaart is available for Spurs tomorrow. Elsewhere, another fast and furious Friday brings plenty news from around the Premier League- read on for more as the press conference updates begin to roll in.

Dimitar Berbatov, Rafael and Fabio have all been ruled out of Man United’s trip to Aston Villa tomorrow. The trio picked up injuries in the midweek Carling Cup defeat by Crystal Palace, though Sir Alex Ferguson confirmed the Bulgarian’s injury is not a serious one.

Sylvain Distin looks set to return for Everton’s game against Stoke. The centre-half has been training with the first-team since Monday and is likely to recover from a groin strain ahead of the Goodison clash on Sunday. Phil Neville, Jack Rodwell and Royston Drenthe are all being assessed as the Toffees go for three wins in a row.

Shane Long is to take pain-killing injections in order to overcome a groin problem and play at QPR tomorrow. With Zoltan Gera ruled out for the season earlier this week, Long’s presence up front will be a major boost for West Brom ahead of the Loftus Road showdown.

Cheik Tiote will be missing once again for Newcastle as Chelsea make their make to Tyneside. The Ivorian has been sidelined for five games now, though Danny Guthrie has proven to be an able deputy alongside Yohan Cabaye. Leon Best is set to recover from a groin problem and boost Alan Pardew’s forward options.

Steve Kean received a significant boost ahead of tomorrow’s game with Swansea. Chris Samba, Martin Olsson and Michel Salgado are all available for the Ewood Park showdown for bottom of the table Blackburn. Junior Hoilett is a doubt, though, having picked up a virus.

Owen Coyle’s defensive worries are starting to ease up. Joe Riley is making good progress from a hamstring problem, while Sam Rickets has been penciled in for a reserve outing next week as he continues his recovery from an Achilles injury. Neither will feature tomorrow at Spurs, though. Coyle confirmed both Dedryk Boyata and David Ngog are in contention for comebacks tomorrow, though Ricardo Gardner and Nigel Reo-Coker are rated as “touch and go”, with knee and hamstring problems respectively.

Danny Graham is a major doubt for Swansea at Blackburn tomorrow. Leroy Lita is likely to lead the line for the Swans, with Graham struggling to overcome an Achilles problem sustained in last week’s draw with Aston Villa. Ashley Richards should deputise for Angel Rangel at right-back, with the Spaniard sidelined for a month with an ankle injury picked up in the same game.

Richard Stearman is set for a speedy return to the Wolves first-team. The right-back looks likely to play with a protective cast on his injured wrist on Sunday at home to manager-less Sunderland- Ronald Zubar seems set to drop out again for the crucial clash against the Black Cats.

Neil Warnock revealed he is still optimistic that Shaun Wright-Phillips will be involved in QPR’s game with West Brom. The winger- who has been playing up front of late- picked up a foot injury last week but is set to feature, providing he comes through today’s training session unscathed. Adel Taarabt could return to the first-team squad, while Kieron Dyer and David Connolly are making good progress from injury.

Damien Duff is a doubt for Fulham’s game with Liverpool on Monday night. The winger returned to the first-team in last night’s Europa League clash with FC Twente but suffered a recurrence of a hamstring problem.

Paul Is certain he won't make the same mistakes next season. Follow them on Twitter

oh I still believe in Hennesy... good diferential, polus Sunderland have Bendtner up front. Supported by Sess. admitedly they have got rid of Steve Bruce, but still there only threat is from Midfield and they don't travel. Blackburn, crap as they, have not been shy of goals.

Right, I can't pick Captains! - this season 2,1,1,2,5,13,5,12,5,1,4,2,2 = 55 (and anything over 5 is RVP so what's the answer? Glue the armband on RVP or VDV until the new year, or try eeny meany miney mo???)

hmm kinda rules bringing McAuley in, may get Cerny in instead then, better saves potential perhaps, really don't know what to do with this transfer.

          I have O'Hara as well.

I got on the Bendy/Drenthe wagon last week, although early before the wheels got fully going. It's looking like a waste of 2 FT's if they don't deliver over the next two GW's.

    Vorm
    Enrique Brown Richards
Dyer Walters Silva Van der Vaart
    Van Persie(C) Adebayor(VC) Aguero

    SUBS:
    Given Moses Simpson Wilkinson

How does this look for the GW? Sub order correct? I've got 1FT and 0.9 in the bank but planning on saving next week to do aguero to Ba and upgrade one of my defence to MANU or BAINES

Both decent shouts. Young has yet to show any form after his toe injury but could be a good punt as he's liable to explode at anytime!

Afternoon FFS faithful! Looking to set-up my squad now as tonight is my birthday festivities and I'll be well too drunk to operate any elecrronics lol.

    ------------------------------------------------------------

    GK: Vorm

DEF: Jagielka - Brown - Enrique

MID: VDV - Silva - Nani - Drenthe

FWD: Adebayor - RVP - Ba

BENCH: Krul - Sinclair - Hutton - Tiereny
    ------------------------------------------------------------

So I've already done my free transfer when I knee jerked the 'Not So Great Dane' out for Ba. I know Drenthe is a doubt but I guess if he doesn't play Sinclair will come in. Not too happy with my defense and will be looking to get some United/City coverage in the upcoming weeks by downgrading one of my big MFs and upgrading Hutton. Does the squad look setup right? Adebayor, RVP or VDV for the armband? 🙂

Hard to say but, RVP, ade and VDV are good options IMO.. I'm still a little concerned over VDV starting or not alltough he is said to be fit. Defoe says he want more playtime but I'm not sure how harry respond to that.. Maybe he'll play all three at the same time.. naah 🙂 rvp for captain my call

Been reading the arguements about Ade v VDV, and I'm now in a pickle!!
Seems like it could be logical to have both but I already have Ade and Bale so would it be a bit risky to get VDV in for Nani?
It'll put alot of risk in the Spurs' games but their fixtures are good and they've a double i GW20. Also, I reckon if I capt. RVP or Silva it might reduce the risk a bit.

    Any thoughts ??

Worth doing Aguero -> Ba and Dyer/moses -> VDV for a hit? I'm really not sure how much game time Aguero will get after playing 60 mins midweek?

Trying to work out long term strategy to get a full compliment of toffees by their DGW. Happy with this team for now, but wondering what my next transfer should be. Any ideas?

    Vorm
    Enrique Jones Richards
    VDV Bale Silva (V) Mata
    RVP (C) Barndoor Studge

Subs: Dyer Simpson De Late (Ugh, but only way to afford the midfield)
