[sbu_large_image] Dugout Discussion

Two more Premier League fixtures this afternoon to keep the gameweek ticking along. The Dugout Discussion opens up for Everton’s fixture at home to Stoke City…

The home side make a single change from last weekend’s victory at Bolton with Louis Saha dropping out completely and Apostolos Vellios taking his place. The Potters, meanwhile, bring in Jonathan Woodgate, Ryan Shotton and Dean Whitehead in three changes to last weekend’s outfit. Teams in full are…

Everton XI: Howard, Coleman, Jagielka, Baines, Hibbert, Heitinga, Osman, Fellaini, Bilyaletdinov, Cahill, Vellios

Stoke XI: Sorensen, Huth, Shawcross, Woodgate, Wilson, Shotton, Whelan, Whitehead, Etherington, Walters, Crouch

We’ll then move on to the only televised fixture of the day as Wolves play host to a Sunderland side looking to impress Martin O’Neill before he takes the reins. A game I can’t bear to watch having brought in Jamie O’Hara and made the laughably rookie mistake of then forgetting to start him.

Two sides with plenty to fight for after an equally poor last couple of months. The Dugout Discussion remains throughout.

I am chuffed United have City....time to avenge last years semi defeat and the 6-1 at OT. It'll give them the perfect boost to kick on in the 2nd half of the season and show City that United are still top dogs!

Its so enjoyable seeing United fans struggle with the fact that City are top dogs now.

I've no doubt United will bounce back, but right now City are a long way ahead of everyone in the PL imo.

I am not struggling with it at all...1 FA Cup means nothing compared to what United have achieved.

City will have to win the league and actually do something in Europe before that can become a reality. we're only 14 games in and it will be interesting to see how City can manage their squad of superstars and react to their first loss....which will happen over the next 3-4 games.

You can't quote history when talking about who is on top now. We're not talking about acheivments, talking about their football. Mancini is no fool and I think he has done a great job on managing their squad. We'll see where you both are come the end of the season I guess.

This was always gonna happen the way they were spending, the fact is Mancini has done a great job and City look a force much sooner than people expected them too. Would not be surprised to see them run away with the league this year.

No, I mean he plays for Sunderland, not *you*. Not, he plays for Sunderland, not Manure. He doesn't owe you anything. And the only reason Manure are keeping clean sheets is because Fergie shat himself after the City whooping you suffered, and is now terrified of conceding, you're grinding out 1-0 wins playing boring, negative football. You drew 1-1 to Newcastle at home while we beat them 3-0 away. You wont be winning titles any more.

I'd say it is. Sturridge in a side that is on the rise, Ba for one that could struggle with a depleted squad over the Christmas break. Look at Sturridge and what he's done these past few weeks and think whether there's any reason to take him out. He's got a game at home to his old club and then Wigan away...

I think Caulker will be back soon
Given can be replaced eventually - Vorm is ok for next week.

    Begovic on for Sorenson.

Sessegnon has a penalty appeal waved away - seen them given.

    Causal Sorenson CS!!1

For some reason Lampard has become a great differential in my league at below 7% ownership, Roonpig is at 20% ownership, and Desko is 13%

Who should I get into my team out Lampard, Dzeko, and Roonpig?

      Rooney's at 29%...

Lampard not worth money for ~12M. I'd rather have Ramires or Mata.

Dzeko yes, but rotation of City strikers is just too much for me tbh.

Attempt blocked. Nicklas Bendtner (Sunderland) right footed shot from outside the box is blocked. Assisted by Phillip Bardsley.

That's a blow for one of my mini league who had Bego and Krul as first sub!
