Craven Cottage is the venue, as Fulham versus Liverpool wraps up Gameweek 14 on a bitterly cold Monday night. Braving the unpleasant conditions outside, the Dugout Discussion is open once more. Martin Jol and Kenny Dalglish have handed their team sheets in, and this is how the sides line-up tonight…

Fulham XI: Schwarzer, Kelly, Senderos, Hangeland, JA Riise, Murphy, Etuhu, Dempsey, Ruiz, Zamora, Dembele.

Liverpool XI: Reina, Johnson, Enrique, Skrtel, Agger, Henderson, Adam, Spearing, Bellamy, Carroll, Suarez.

The hosts make one change to the side that drew at the Emirates, as Steven Kelly comes in for Chris Baird at right-back.

As for the visitors, the devastating injury to their star defensive-midfielder Lucas, means that Jay Spearing comes in as his replacement. Elsewhere, Andy Carroll partners Luis Suarez up-front, and surprisingly there’s no reward in the form of a starting berth for Maxi Rodriguez, who’s enjoying somewhat of a purple patch at the moment.

    I was thinking of having Jones and Smalling in as that was all that Hernandez allowed me to afford. But given that I’m now likely to switch to Welbeck, what do people think about having Vidic and Jones as 2 of my defenders (alongside BAE, McAuley and Brown?)

            Very true, I don't know how referee training is handled but it doesn't feel like there's a uniformed style. The last few weeks have been particularly terrible for referees.

        It just ruins the game - for everyone watching it, those who paid £50 or whatever a ticket etc.

        Either the refs are just not taught well enough or the game is too fast for them. This week should highlight it - Luiz, Cahill and now Spearing - game-changing and terrible decisions.

    I reckon Spearing getting a red improves the chances of a 0-0 and CS joy. Pool were playing better and this kind of levels it up. Should have been a yellow I say though.
