→ The 2014/15 season was Sergio Aguero's best ever for Fantasy returns. Seven of his goals/assists and 36 of his FPL points came in two meetings with which club that year? Scout Betting

All of last season, between two clubs, two divisions and a respectable 2300 minutes of football, Yakubu managed to net only 12 times. This term, before we’ve even reached the half-way stage, “the Yak” has delivered 9 in the league, one in the cup and sits above the likes of Wayne Rooney, Emmanuel Adebayor and Mario Balotelli in the chase for the Golden Boot.

Blackburn may not have taken advantage of his resurgence in form, in terms of their league position, but we sure did, courtesy of a return on “a goal and Blackburn to win” at 5/2 in last week’s “Flutter”.

Winnings in hand, we stride through Paddy Power’s doors once again to see what prices they have to offer for another gameweek…

First up, we’re sniffing around Liverpool’s Jose Enrique at home to Queens Park Rangers. Although he’s had a three match lull in terms of Fantasy points, the Spaniard is up against a side that has been slowly drifting toward mediocrity after an explosive start to the season. Enrique to assist and score is up for grabs, but with a cleanie very much on the cards, we’ll take that and no booking at 11/10 for £5 of our stake this week.

Next up is Chris Eagles. For a bargain midfielder, he’s accrued a respectable 59 Fantasy Premier League points this campaign so far, featuring heavily in Bolton’s flip-flop form. Paddy favour Villa, even as the visitors here, offering some longer prices with a goal and assist at 14/1. We’ve seen Eagles deliver this twice before this season, so this is a worthy punt for a £1.

Nani has drifted out of many Fantasy line-ups in recent weeks, echoing United’s recent lull in attacking terms. However, the winger has still managed to impress whilst his team-mates struggle to find a goalscoring rhythm – particularly in the midweek Champions League defeat, where Nani looked a major threat. Paddy have Nani to score and perform a back-flip at 9/2 to take our quid this week; they’ve also priced up a less acrobatic goal and assist at 5/1.

Having displayed potent goalscoring potential at West Ham, Demba Ba has really come alive this year in the wake of Newcastle’s summer sales. Calm in front of goal, he nets with his head, left and right boot, and from the penalty spot, with confidence. A one pound stake at 12/1 on Ba to score twice or more against an obliging Norwich defence is well justified, given that he’s already bagged two hat-tricks this season.

Our final market of the week is “Who will score the most goals”, featuring Wayne Rooney at 10/11, Robin van Persie at 13/8 and West Brom’s Shane Long at 3/1. Most weeks we’d look to the Flying Dutchman for goals, but with Rooney’s World Cup ban lightened to lift his spirits, we’ll go with Granville’s ScoutCast heavy-hitter for the last £1 left of our tenner; more for bragging rights rather than hard cash.

Just a reminder, if you missed Thursday’s “Paddy Says”, detailing the bookies view on clean sheets, goals and anytime scorers, you can soak it up right here.

Paddy’s Money Back Specials

Paddy have a host of refund offers on show for the weekend. They start at the Stadium of Light for Martin O’Neill’s first match in charge. If O’Neill witnesses four or more goals in the match, Paddy will refund all losing first/last goalscorer, correct score and scorecast singles. Paddy are also paying back all losing first/last goalscorer, correct score and scorecast singles on the Stoke vs Totttenham clash, if Peter Crouch nets against his old club.

Down at Stamford Bridge, Paddy are risking refunds if there’s a last gasp goal. If a goal is scored in the last five minutes of the Chelsea vs City clash they will again refund all losing first/last goalscorer, correct score and scorecast singles on the match.

Register and Bet £10 And Get £20 Free

If you’re new to this betting lark and new to Paddy Power then you can take up any of these odds and offers and get yourself a bonus. You can sign up via this site and get a free £20 when you register an account and bet a tenner.

Finally of course, we should state that all these offers are only available to those aged 18 and over and are subject to Paddy Power’s terms and conditions. Also, if you’re going to bet, always gamble responsibly.

Would like some United coverage, any suggestions? Hoping to downgrade Drenthe to free up some money, 0.1 in the bank.

    Vorm (Westwood)
    Enrique, Kompany, BAE, Brown (Simpson)
    Silva, Bale, Ramsey, Adam (Drenthe)
    RVP (c), Adebayor, (Bendtner)

Nani seems like the obvious choice, because Ashley Young's crossing has been depressing to watch lately.

Maybe start ditching Ramsey and Bendtner, before Drenthe.

Play Kompany, Warnock or Simpson? Right now I'm leaning towards Kompany.

Also, are my subs in order? They are Walters, Simpson/Kompany, Warnock.

Or maybe I should just take a 4 point hit and bring in Enrique and play him...

Ba has 5% ownership in Yahoo fantasy, so I was leaning towards him vs Norwich.

There's been 3 goals each of the last few times Norwich and Newcastle have met, and skint Fergie seems uninterested in buying quality players, to feed Rooney in January..

    VDV, Silva, Nani, Walters

I have gone for Ba myself. I couldnt really pick between him and Welbeck. I went with Ba as he is in form and welbeck has just come back from an injury.

cheers man, hmm is a bit of a tough one, ive kinda gone off my oroginal idea to bring Long in, can see wigan turning up for that game actually and long would only be in for one game really as a punt, whereas i need someone more stable and in for a couple of games, so its between ba and welbeck for me, thing is if i go welbeck, then that leaves him with nani and jones, maybe overkill for united at the moment?

Wigan have to turn up for games now, their lives depend on it. However WBrom have some good games up until they play City so Long doesn't have to be a one game thing. I am more inclined to invest in Utd defence I see them as a more reliable source of points. The goals for United are not going to flowing and now Chico out is hard to pick out who will get the fantasy points.

Norwich cannot defend and home matches versus Swansea and WBrom tipped it in favour of Ba.

yeh some good points there, wigan will be fighting like f*ck to get out the basement they are in, but also good point about west brom, im back to thinking long now as he was my gut instinct even in mid week. yeah points are hard to predict and flow from united now, and can see why ba remains a good pick, he's great.

how about long and nani d'ya reckon? haha dishing me and ryan advice tonight aren't ya mate 🙂

I am done my fair share of asking this week to be fair. In the end I have gone against people telling me not to do Kompany --->Jones for a hit. But I wanted to do it and did.

If I was forced to pick between Nani and Welbeck, I would go for Nani. As far as Long as concerned then it is down to you and your gut.

haha i always do as well. im sort of suprised people have been advising that, jones offeres plenty more than kompany, especially now he's potentially playing as a mid, what more could anyone ask for from a defender lol, wise move imo, ive never had kompany, jones is just as good, in fact is better imo.

Well i think Nani is definitly going in for me, so im making that move, just a queestion od ba, welbeck and long now, might have a poll down below to gather a round up of opinions, but it lies with my gut more than anything like you say. cheers matey, can always answer my poll below as well if thats ok 🙂

I need to choose two of the following guys for my bench (as Allen already occupies the third spot.)

Who should I choose out of:
    A: Brown
    B: Simpson
    C: Walters
    D. Assou-Ekotto

I am leaning towards Assou-Ekotto as I have Bale and Adebayor on the pitch already, but struggling for the 2nd place.

I'd play Walters and Simpson. Walters as the most chance of attacking points. Simpson as best chance of the three for a clean sheet. Unless you are playing krul, in which case brown is a better bet.

I'd stay away from Simpson, Norwich have only failed to score twice this season. Once at home to WBA and at MUN. This, I find to be quite a startling fact.

Sinclair last 5 at home- 2,2,8,10,12
              Walters - 5,7,7,11,4

Can anyone shed light on Turner's situation? Did MON have any say in him being dropped against Blackburn and any chance he'll play? What an inspired transfer he was.

I'd love to play him instead of Naylor, as I'm not confident doubling on Swansea.

No idea really, he seemed to drop out of the squad without any mention to being injured at all. I have him in my team as well so I may be a defender short this week as I also have Vidic and Woodgate. :S

Only replacement I have had in mind since getting him in is Baines for the DGW but he doesn't have a particularly nice fixture this week, think I'll try and make do because my current defenders are good IMO except for the possibility of 3 of them not playing. 😛

I really fancy Fulham to actually beat Swansea, I just hate doubling up on them.

Maybe Kompany --> Enrique as a free? You lot have good fixtures but will Lucas' absence have a big impact on defensive returns do you think? I missed Monday's game, what happened?

I'm thinking it will be a tight game? Although probably what I thought about Manchester derby...

        Vorm (schwarzer)
        Ward Jones Enrique (Orr, Rangel)
        Brunt Bale Ramsey Silva Sessegnon
        RVP Aguero (Sturridge)

Want to play Brunt as I just brought him in and favorable fixture tomorrow and next few weeks, want to play sessegnon in case MON puts him upfront and they have sudden inspiration from new manager to get a few goals.....

        Thanks!!!!

Monday night will be so exciting for you, I'd rather get 2 points that night than tomorrow for Ramsey. Although I think Sturridge might do something against his old side. 2-2 draw for me.

I'd probably bench Sturridge as Torres or Kalou or even Anelka could come on if he's having a poor game by the hour mark, and there's even the off chance he may not start in favour of someone who may not be as fatigued if you look at his minutes played so far this season.

Anyone else you could consider dropping from your Forwards and Midfield?
