→ The 2014/15 season was Sergio Aguero's best ever for Fantasy returns. Seven of his goals/assists and 36 of his FPL points came in two meetings with which club that year? Scout Betting

All of last season, between two clubs, two divisions and a respectable 2300 minutes of football, Yakubu managed to net only 12 times. This term, before we’ve even reached the half-way stage, “the Yak” has delivered 9 in the league, one in the cup and sits above the likes of Wayne Rooney, Emmanuel Adebayor and Mario Balotelli in the chase for the Golden Boot.

Blackburn may not have taken advantage of his resurgence in form, in terms of their league position, but we sure did, courtesy of a return on “a goal and Blackburn to win” at 5/2 in last week’s “Flutter”.

Winnings in hand, we stride through Paddy Power’s doors once again to see what prices they have to offer for another gameweek…

First up, we’re sniffing around Liverpool’s Jose Enrique at home to Queens Park Rangers. Although he’s had a three match lull in terms of Fantasy points, the Spaniard is up against a side that has been slowly drifting toward mediocrity after an explosive start to the season. Enrique to assist and score is up for grabs, but with a cleanie very much on the cards, we’ll take that and no booking at 11/10 for £5 of our stake this week.

Next up is Chris Eagles. For a bargain midfielder, he’s accrued a respectable 59 Fantasy Premier League points this campaign so far, featuring heavily in Bolton’s flip-flop form. Paddy favour Villa, even as the visitors here, offering some longer prices with a goal and assist at 14/1. We’ve seen Eagles deliver this twice before this season, so this is a worthy punt for a £1.

Nani has drifted out of many Fantasy line-ups in recent weeks, echoing United’s recent lull in attacking terms. However, the winger has still managed to impress whilst his team-mates struggle to find a goalscoring rhythm – particularly in the midweek Champions League defeat, where Nani looked a major threat. Paddy have Nani to score and perform a back-flip at 9/2 to take our quid this week; they’ve also priced up a less acrobatic goal and assist at 5/1.

Having displayed potent goalscoring potential at West Ham, Demba Ba has really come alive this year in the wake of Newcastle’s summer sales. Calm in front of goal, he nets with his head, left and right boot, and from the penalty spot, with confidence. A one pound stake at 12/1 on Ba to score twice or more against an obliging Norwich defence is well justified, given that he’s already bagged two hat-tricks this season.

Our final market of the week is “Who will score the most goals”, featuring Wayne Rooney at 10/11, Robin van Persie at 13/8 and West Brom’s Shane Long at 3/1. Most weeks we’d look to the Flying Dutchman for goals, but with Rooney’s World Cup ban lightened to lift his spirits, we’ll go with Granville’s ScoutCast heavy-hitter for the last £1 left of our tenner; more for bragging rights rather than hard cash.

Just a reminder, if you missed Thursday’s “Paddy Says”, detailing the bookies view on clean sheets, goals and anytime scorers, you can soak it up right here.

Paddy’s Money Back Specials

Paddy have a host of refund offers on show for the weekend. They start at the Stadium of Light for Martin O’Neill’s first match in charge. If O’Neill witnesses four or more goals in the match, Paddy will refund all losing first/last goalscorer, correct score and scorecast singles. Paddy are also paying back all losing first/last goalscorer, correct score and scorecast singles on the Stoke vs Totttenham clash, if Peter Crouch nets against his old club.

Down at Stamford Bridge, Paddy are risking refunds if there’s a last gasp goal. If a goal is scored in the last five minutes of the Chelsea vs City clash they will again refund all losing first/last goalscorer, correct score and scorecast singles on the match.

Register and Bet £10 And Get £20 Free

If you’re new to this betting lark and new to Paddy Power then you can take up any of these odds and offers and get yourself a bonus. You can sign up via this site and get a free £20 when you register an account and bet a tenner.

Finally of course, we should state that all these offers are only available to those aged 18 and over and are subject to Paddy Power’s terms and conditions. Also, if you’re going to bet, always gamble responsibly.

    Who should I bench?

    Vorm - Ruddy
    Kompany - Jones - Shorey - N Taylor - R Taylor
    Sess - Silva - Bale - Eagles - VDV
    RVP - Sturridge - Ade

Dunno about you guys but I reckon Sturridge might be able to score against the very slow City defence...?

Strange as it may seem I've a feeling the Chelski v Citeh game ends with one team scoring 3, the other 2. Sturridge I think will be amongst the scorers - at least I hope so as he's in my team 😉

As to your question, I'd say Ruddy, Kompany, N Taylor and Sess

    Silva, VDV, Ramsey, Sinclair, Moses
    RVP, Adebayor, Bendtner

Obviously a few changes needed and must get rid of Given, Rangel, Moses and a couple others, but out of those 3 positions and with just 0.7 in the bank there are a lot of players i could bring in, but which players are most important for now?

Krul, Robinson/ Taylor, Evans, BAE, Shawx, Williams, Ward/ Dyer…

Fantastic. I'm sure people can only remember the past 2 or 3 weeks (that's my only explanation for Jones being transferred in over Smalling at a rate of 3 to 1, despite the 1.3m extra), yet he's United best RB imo, and was SAF's first choice cover for Vidic and Ferdinand.

Jones appears to have pushed ahead in the selection stakes, but I think that's only because of Smalling's injury. He's a first teamer, simple as.

Well, I can't justify holding onto a 10m midfielder who is a rotation risk. Sure, VDV will start this week, but once Defoe is fit again, who knows whether VDV will be able to keep his spot?

You can't justify holding onto a 10m midfielder? While this game often doesn't reward loyalty, you kept him for 3 or 4 price drops. You've either got to be a hard-nosed b@stard and get reid immediately (thus profitting from his highest price), or keep faith with the reasoned logic as to why he's in your team in the first instance.

If anything, he's a better pick now than when we all first scouted him; his team mates are more confident and he has a DGW around the corner. I genuinely don't think there is a rotation risk to worry about. Even an on-loan player is keeping Defoe out of the team when VDV is fit.

Had owned him for about 8 weeks prior to last week, and he proved a frustrating player - always gets in good positions and plays high up the pitch, but he doesn't have anywhere near the attacking instincts that Lampard owns/owned. Sturridge/Mata are better Chelsea options.

I am too. I'd say he has a good chance during xmas. He won't be nailed on though. He might even play more defensive if he plays the next few games because I'm not sure if Kenny would want Adam as the holding MF. Shelvey is good going forward, would be a bargain if he played behind the strikers as he did in Blackpool.

Not to rain on your parade, but it is amazing to me some of the dross that gets into the higher divisions, I played a series of Division 3 games there the other day and won 6 in a row to get into Division 2, and I am good, but not an expert gamer good.

You know what I hate though, I have played a number of kids probably who have paused the game when they hoof the ball forward, which leads to me being completely disorientated when he unpauses it as hard as I try to concentrate, it is the cheapest tactic I have ever witnessed in online gaming, well, bar Call of Duty serial camping.

Evans is a Wes Brown mk2... I've never seen such a meek centre half! At 4.4m, you can't grumble though. If Jones continues in midfield (unlikely) then he'll start games.

Jonny Evans has looked okay this year, most of the time. The difference with Smalling and Evans is that Smalling is a better footballer, he is less likely to fall over his legs and gift the ball to an attacker, Evans can be an absolute liability, and has been the sole cause of United conceding in the past.

That being said, again, he doesn't look as susceptible to the silly mistakes this term, but, I think filling in for the generally imperious Vidic, he pales in comparison, and most would.

I have a severe itch to do Kompany--->Jones for a hit this GW as I dont trust Evans. Aleady done Chico--->Ba. Team as it stands is:

    Vorm Given
    Kompany BAE Simpson Enrique Brown
    Dyer Silva VDV Walters Drenthe
    RVP Adebayor Ba

3.2 in bank (some of that is stashed away for VDV+Drenthe---->Bale + Mata GW16)

Will prolly pay for itself this week alone and then united have much better games than city.....but then there's always that dread that SAF in his wisdom will rest Jones, but don't see it tbh.....personally i did Kompany to Verm this week....just think he's fantasy gold if he can stay fit

Sod it, I have enough of thinking about it and am doing it. I dont see value in Evans at all and Brown--->Smalling will not leave enough for my planned GW16 move. I am at 700K and behind in all mini league (-140pts in one of them) so drastic moves needed.

i have done a.ferdinand and bendtner out for 4point to evans and welbeck
money worked perfect and i can see welbeck playing 3 in the next 5 and score a couple and i think evans at 4.4m will be in starting line each week but will play 4 in the next 10 at a guess so he may give ok returns. but by fluke one of them takes off they will rocket in price.
